I don't think it would really matter much if people used the glitch to beat heartless, but if they start using them to beat bosses, there should be punishments to an extent... you know? Maybe not. I don't know.

Well, the thing is, if a rule was conceived around this, how could we enforce it, or even find rule-breakers that we may punish? It would be pretty hard to catch them in the act. Unless Shamdeo or TEM was around at the time of the crime, and someone said something about haxxed stats. Other then that, I don't think it would be possible.

It might just be better to do the unwritten rule thing. Not really a rule, but those who do in fact do it, become scorned and frowned upon by those around him. Ruled by society, ftw!

Yeah, that I haven't thought about. I dunno, it's pretty much cheating if you do it... and since it would be considered cheating, there should be some punishment in place.

Interesting theory about this elusive hax...

I think that the cause might be the Silver Cannons... I just put my stats up from 0 in everything. I had all of my current equipment on. When i was done, the only stats affected were Magic, Defense, and Dexterity. I had 24 too much on Dex, 14 too much on Magic, and 10 too few on Def. All of the rest of my stats were what they should be. The hax only seems to be recent-ish, so it may be that the Silver Cannon (everyone's favorite weapon) is causing the glitch... I can't say that i remember seeing someone haxxed with no Silver Cannon equipped because recently 80% of the level 40 Inferno players have been dual-wielding SC's. This can give Neo some stuff to look into so he isn't bored all the time with his maxed spells. I'm curious because I found it weird that my Largamente didn't glitch at all but my Silver Cannon was counting thrice.

Anyway, just a theory >.>

That's interesting, but.... Yeah... I don't know if I've ever been glitched without the cannons on, but I have been glitched when the Cannons were not counting more than they were supposed to. A more recent glitch with me was where my Pointy Hat of all things were counting twice. Then again I think I had SC's on... *shrugs* it's possible. I just can't remember back to when we haxxed our MP for magic training... I doubt I used Silver Cannons back then... then again... I wonder if we were really glitched.

Are you suggesting that the Silver Cannon is the only glitch-able item (which we know is not true) or that it (Cannon) somehow affects every other item and makes them give off additional mods?

I just dont ever remember getting glitched before the new weapons were introduced. ill say it that way rather than single out the cannon.

Yeah, I don't remember getting glitched before the new weapons either, but even those were fine for a while before the problems started popping up. Increased traffic and an overloaded laggy server could do the trick, but I think it's possible to get glitched even when there is no lag.

I'm willing to bet it's a matter of clarity. The fad previously was the three wishes. They give +3 HP/MP but they're completely negligible even with the glitch. Let's say you have two pwnful keyblades. You'll have an additional 6 str at most. Who's going to notice that? (Considering str was the "thing" to use)

Now the Cannons gives +12 dex and negate 5 def. Stats no one [previously] bothered with. You're sure going to notice that 40 something dex.
And def, well, most people just left it at base. It's easy to spot the -5 or -10.

The newer items just have a huge jump in net mod from the basic items (which have a crappy +2-4 net mod) so I'm guessing that's why one would think the glitch never was, until the Silver Cannons came along. (They were the first "new" item)

I guess that means in chapter two the glitches are gonna be moar uber than they have been thus far, since the mods are all significantly higher than the current set of wepz.

Well, you see, I don't use Silver Cannons, and I still get the hax with the Saber and kunai. I doubt it's exclusive to the Cannons at all, and I agree with Satan on this. The cannons were most likely just noticed first, as the others didn't really have that much of an effect.

Though this probably means that we'll have to be extra carefull watching out for hax in Chapter Two.

Though one question: Would it be less, or even no effect, if it was a two handed weapon? o-o
