| Future Attorney of Life | Well, as an old Role-Player (of both forums and messengers and other things as well), allow me to familiarize you with how things work around here... You don't have to post a character, you simply go into a Role-Play (preferably one you like) and create a character for that role-play, based on the template they give you to work with and the storyline and etc. In other words, just read the thread post, and everything should be fine. There are no freestyle rp's around here. This is a set-story community. We have RP battles, and that's one of the few places where you'd want to post a character and their skills (though some do it in everything). Words of Advice: Develop your character more. Work on grammar. Just sit around and read before you make any real moves. Look before you leap, it'll save you and everyone else plenty of trouble (not that you'd purposefully make trouble). Anyway, I hope that all helps you in some way. Good luck, and welcome to the forums. |

| Future Attorney of Life | I mean, especially if you're going to use that character many times, like I do Valyon (God...I've been using him for such a long time...). You need to develop his abilities, refine them, give more detail. You need to come up with at least an average sized backstory for your character... and maybe give something on his appearance and personality. Things are different here than on messenger. Plus, you need to write up your posts and such on a word processor, such as WordPerfect or Microsoft Word, that way you gain more experience and practice on your literacy (grammar and spelling). |

| :|Your Personal|: {Jesus} | Yes, and to expound on that a bit further, around here we do not simply judge a role player by WHAT he does, but by HOW he does it. That has a dual meaning, as many things I say tend to. Descriptiveness of your posts as well as accurately explaining what it is you DO to perform your techniques. This is not Dragonball Z (unless you're in a theme rp), where you scream out your attack name and it just happens. In order to develop some sort of skill, the things you do should be described along with a notation of what it is you're doing. It adds length and description to your posts, developing a growing talent. Also, nice sword name, though if you and I ever fought, there may be some confusion. |
