Welcome to Kingdom Hearts Insider's Roleplaying Forum!

As learnt from past mistakes, a long list of rules is boring. VERY boring! So, from here-on out there are no rules or limitations as to what you can produce here - although it WILL be appreciated if you can follow these few guidelines we have set-out as to keep everyone enjoying themselves:

• No god-modding. Your character is yours and yours only. I'm sure you wouldn't be happy if someone else took your character and got them killed! (Very minor g-ming is accepted if required.)
• Be polite when acting out of character (OOC). If an argument erupts, handle it maturely and swiftly.
• Keep OOC to a reasonable level. No pages and pages of it, please!

To sum it all up, all we ask from you is your consideration for your fellow roleplayers. I hate to sound like a hippy, but - by doing all the above, we'll be a good step closer to getting this place back to it's old self. XD;

A quick note for all:

We will no longer be holding roleplay classes of our own, nor will any be getting stickied that are created by members. It has been agreed that the best way for a new roleplayer to learn is experience of the first-hand variety. (That is how most of us started out! - not in some measly roleplaying class.) Do have patience for new and old roleplayers alike.

Adding on something, really quick.

There have been a few roleplays with short [Like, one sentence plots] or open plots, and I've been PMed about them being closed.

THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS THREAD ABOUT PLOTS HAVING TO BE TWO PARAGRAPHS. Just because there's no plot doesn't mean it's a horrible thing, and some people are just here to roleplay, without plots that are five paragraphs long and have ultra perfect literacy; we all have to learn somehow, you know.

A short plot is perfectly fine and, no, the literacy doesn't have to be 100% perfect, mmkay?

[EDIT] New guideline of sorts, just so people are using the extra RP forums: if you have a roleplay thread [with postings in character and such], please post it in either canon or original, depending on the roleplay itself. All roleplays need to be inside of those forums while anything that's not a roleplay [unless it's a challenge] should be posted in the main forum. Just so you know! :D

[AND HAVE A NOTE~] If you want to make a suggestion about something in the roleplaying section, just send me a PM and let me know. There was previously a suggestion thread, but it was closed as it was just sitting there, doing nothing. So, if you have a suggestion, let me know! Thanks!

EDIT: If you're mad at me because I took away flaming, don't be. Flaming is one of the rules of KHI, yet it isn't insanely enforced everywhere [Though, I don't expect it to be] and it's a MAJOR problem. People flame and harass people on the forums itself, and in the chat, and... where are most of those people from? Oh. Yeah. THE ROLEPLAYING SECTION. I can name a few people, but I won't, but I will say that many people who flame and harass come from the RPing sections. Please, just be nice to each other. That's all I ask. We're here to have fun and roleplay, right? Not treat each other horribly!

ALL FLAMING AND LONG, UNRESOLVED ARGUMENTS ARE NOW PROHIBITED FROM THE ROLEPLAYING AND CHALLENGES FORUM.

All flaming stops NOW. Arguments will be revolved quickly by settling everything between each other [A mod MAY need to step in and help settle the argument, and if it's not resolved, the thread will be closed, leaving you to solve it over PM.], and flames are PROHIBITED COMPLETELY from the Roleplaying section and any forum within it. As soon as someone flames, they will be warned and the thread will be closed.

Debating, though, is absolutely fine. Trying to resolve something that happened, WITHOUT GETTING ANGRY ABOUT IT, is also fine. Having a pointless argument and letting it continue to no end? Nowhere near fine. I understand the fact that arguments are a part of human nature, but you people are smarter than that. If you can figure out battle tactics and be smart about them, then you can be smart about letting arguments quickly.

How can you prevent flaming? Easy!
-Think before you post: If you're putting your thoughts down on a battle that seem to be negative thoughts, stop and think about it for a second. If they're negative, then they'll probably start an argument.
-Just be nice: Simple! You don't call people jerks, call them nasty names, or say what they did wrong in a negative form. Say what they did wrong in a positive form, along with some feedback on what they could do to fix that. No matter what level of roleplaying or battling you're on, you can always use feedback.
-Don't get annoyed: If someone gives you feedback and you don't want to take that feedback, saying that is completely useless or getting annoyed about it, just take it anyways. If you think it's pointless and get mad about it, take the anger somewhere else, OTHER THAN A FORUM. [Like write it out in a notebook, tell someone in reality {Though, I don't really recommend this one. ^^;}, or post it in an online journal. Writing it down or telling someone helps you vent it out, you know!]
-Ending arguments quickly: If an argument DOES start, try and settle it quickly. We're here to have fun, not yell at each other over something one person did.
-Report if flaming begins or if arguments continue for a while: If you see a battle or a roleplay that has lots of flaming or a long argument in the works, please report it ASAP. All you have to do is click a button, put "Flaming" or "Arguing" in the details, and it's emailed straight to a mod, so that they may end it quickly. If a battle or roleplay is closed, it was probably because of an argument or flames, and you have no one to blame but yourselves for causing it.

If flaming continues, there will be consequential actions taken, and the only ones to blame will be YOU for continuing to cause flaming and letting arguments continue to no end.

Flaming is against the rules of EVERY LITTLE BIT of KHInsider, and its easy to not flame, you know. :\ If you're disagreeing about what people said on this thread before, YOU are one of the people that needs to get their act together, or face the consequences. Seriously. It's not that hard to stop an argument, resolve something quickly, and not yell at other people about pointless things. [And, yes, I am a person who gets annoyed easily, but you don't see me running around screaming at everyone.]

Updating an old rule, I guess... I've been seeing a LOT of this, so...

PLEASE keep OOC out of IC threads! If you have a sign-up/OOC thread, use it for it's purpose. Any OOC, by itself, in IC threads will either be deleted or moved to the OOC thread.

Okies, new rule... ish? This only applies to Kingdom Hearts roleplays, so if you have any other kind of roleplay, you don't have to worry about this. :D

YOU MUST WARN OTHERS ABOUT SPOILERS THAT MAY APPEAR IN YOUR ROLEPLAY. In terms of 358/2 Days. This does NOT apply to KH, CoM, or KH2, just Days. You have to post a clear warning for this. So, if Xion is a major part of your RP and it involves stuff that happens to her in Days, you MUST warn others.
If you fail to post a warning and people are getting spoiled, then your roleplay (and OOC thread) will be closed. (It will most likely be reopened after this rule is lifted.)

This rule will be removed after the European release of Days.
