The Gate to Awakening (A Kingdom Hearts Role Play)

The heart has been through out time and space a symbol of peace, love and courage. It has become a bastion of hope to the hopeless and strength for the weak and downtrodden. It has become the symbol in which a universe of light basks in. Yet despite its praise and what it represents the heart is a very fragile thing and will often give in and submit to the darkness that is evil and hate. This unfortunately is what happened to the most powerful heart in all existence. The heart which all life and existence is born from had submitted to the darkness and fell into the hands of the wicked beings known as the heartless. These creatures devoid of hearts began to smother out the light of this glorious heart. Yet there was one boy who had been able to break the grasp the darkness had on it. He wielded a weapon forged of the vary brightness that this epitome of peace had been shining before it was taken by the dreaded master of darkness known as Ansem. But the freedom of this heart was not the end of his journey. He was then attacked by the Organization. They wanted his heart, wanted his strength. It had withstood the pressure of the magnificent weapon the Key blade and still had enough strength to pull his heart from the depths of darkness after he had sacrificed it so that another, his love, could have hers. He battled them and through there trials but no matter how hard the tore at it his heart would not break it would not bend when all it had known and all it was working so hard for had been pulled from it and almost forgotten. He had defeated them and regained his memories just as another boy began his journey wielding the very same weapon as him, later even being able to pull so much strength to him so that his heart could support the light of two. But this boys strength was not his own. He was pulling this power from the other one. A witch called Namine was copying the first boy's heart and adding it to that of the second boy. They despite this were drawn together. The first boy Sora and the second boy Roxas merged the hearts and became one. Together as one they defeated the organization and sealed the darkness outside of all hearts including the heart of Kingdom Hearts. Thus there tale ended they disappeared within the void of darkness they had created in order to keep it shut behind a door of impenetrable light.

Nearly six years later the darkness within that void has begun to seep through the door and beginning ounce again its efforts of ruination on all that is pure. As Kingdom Hearts began to become corrupt it tried once again to send its light to someone who could possibly free it once again.

Thus begins a new chapter in this never ending war between the never ending armies of light and darkness. The light shed by Kingdom hearts has this time reached more than just one person but many. There hearts are beginning to reorder themselves to accommodate for the sudden increase of light. But will they walk the road they were hoped to travel or will they walk down the path of darkness and extinguish the light.

Within all darkness there is still light, but within that light there is an even greater darkness.

My Character

Name: Aydrian Thalasi
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Appearance: Aydrian stand at about five feet and five inches tall and weighs just about one hundred twenty pounds. He wears a grey hooded sweatshirt with sleeves that are a darker shade of grey. Under this is a plain white T-shirt. He wears black denim pants and wears casual shoes with a black top and white on the sides. The laces are white. He has blond hair that hangs over his face and slightly leans backwards. He has a fair skin complexion and light green eyes. His nose is a little on the larger side though.
Weapon: Key Blade
Home World: Colonae
Current Location: The rebuilt city of Hollow Bastion
Personality: He can sometimes be shy and is vary timid. He smiles often but always seems to be sad and doesn’t like to be complimented. He doesn’t seem strong enough emotionally to fight.
Bio: Born on the world of Colonae, a world not unlike earth, it had clear skies and plenty of food for everyone solving its pollution and poverty problems in the past century. He had a few good friends and enjoyed being around them. One day about six months ago his world began to fall back into its old ways and a new breed of animal had appeared. They were vicious and people were warned not to go near them. Despite this though the entire world fell into darkness and the only known survivor was Aydrian. He awoke in Hollow bastion were he has lived alone often visiting the shop of a man named cid or a tavern owned by a woman named Tifa. Recently though the same creatures have begun appearing in small numbers on hollow bastion.

Personality: For the most part, Raticus is calm and reserved. He is neither timid nor cocky, but assertive in his own abilities. Despite his appearance, he may look like he's serious when in fact he is not. To many, he rubs them as mysterious, intimidating, or just plain odd. What is he like really? You'll just have to find that out.

Bio: Raticus is a talking werewolf born and raised in Narnia, in the last days of it's existence. After the end, those who had remained behind were left in a dying world that the Heartless had taken advantage off. To this day, it exists as a desolate world with a set of ivory-colored doors that lead somewhere else? What is this place? Raticus intended to find out, but was driven from his homeland by the encroaching Heartless some time ago. One of the first worlds to be consumed by the Heartless, he has spent time traveling from world to world to gain knowledge of the world he had left behind. Could it be possible to open the door one day? That is Raticus's plight.

Appearance: Raticus stands at about six feet tall and has a medium-strong body type. Dark brown hair falls over his strange eyes in bangs, while the rest is styled back in a rather wild fashion. Triangular ears protrude from the sides of his skull, and his black-scleraed golden-irised eyes pierce quite easily, despite what expression he may show. His voice is uncharacteristically deep and raspy, as if he were many years older than he actually sounded. He wears a woolen black shirt that fits snugly across his chest, along with a black leather cuirass that is equipped. The sleeves of the shirt are rolled to his elbows, and the remaining part of his exposed forearms are covered in white gauze wrapped tightly with only a few strands falling around his hands. Black metallic gauntlets over his hands; they have small golden blades that extend an inch or so out from slots on each finger. Two dark brown leather belts crisscross his waist, along with a belt comprised of silver-colored chain mail links; it holds a sheath to a sword at his left side, which he most often weilds with his right hand. Brown pants adorned with silver and black designs run down his legs, with dark grey bracers equipped on his shins. Heavy steel-soled boots claim his legs. In his enhanced form, he stands about ten feet tall. Dark brown fur covers his lupine appearance, while his clothes remain intact on the lower portion of his body as the expanded tissue does not take as much space. Overall werewolfish in appearance; this form is equal in strength to that of another's Drive Form. Can merge with others who are able to attain Drive Forms with Keyblades.

Bio: Was Born on Moon Dragon Island a place with a constant War with Sun Phinex Island Both Island have a rare Animal that they protect on Moon Dragon Island they have the Moon Dragon and the Sun Phinex Island they have the Sun Phinex. They have fought to kill the other Islands great animal for it's worth leo being a pure person Raised both a Moon Dragon and a Sun Phinex. One day during a War a bunch of Werid Creatures attacked then a giant dark Orb appeard in the sky that obsorbed everything When he woke up he was all alone in the middle of a stadium and noticed a strang man looking at him and took him under his Wing Liderally as soon as he saw a key in Leo's hand

Appearance: He is about 6'3" tall, and weighs about 176 lbs. He wears a red button-up shirt, and dark jeans. He wears a long, micro-fibre cloak over it all. He has long silver hair, and bright blue eyes. He has two black angel wings also.
Weapon: Twin Falchion Swords; One Black, One White
Home World: Dark Heaven
Current Location: Traverse Town
Personality: Quiet, and dark. He usually doesn't hang around or help anyone.
Bio: Jet has been sent from Dark Heaven to watch over the new Keybladers, and try to convert them... His past is not known to anyone... not even himself.

Name: Vega Orior'SoL((He likes to write it like that, and often prints his name instead of telling you to show off his penmanship))

Gender: Male

Appearance: Semi-pale skin, jet black hair that is identical to riku's from KH1, exept a bit shorter, Bright yellow eyes, black long sleeve shirt that is white at the tip of the sleeves, slim dark blue jeans, grey rain boots with black soles, a tattered, burgandy cloth that is worn like a scarf, a silver pocket chain on right pocket, and a metallic, stud wristband on left wrist. He has a slim build and is 5"9.

Weapon: Kingdom Key ((looks exactly like Mickey's key, but its handle is black instead of white. He has only just recieved it, and it often disappears and appears randomly. It appears mostly in a desperate battle. He should master it eventually.))

Current Weapon: A 2 ft long, bright red, baton that is used as a melee weapon during sparring sessions with his rival and others. It isn't hard enough to seriously injure someone, but hard to the point where it could give you a small knot on the head. When he isn't using it, he wedges it in the back of his brown, leather belt.

Home World: Original home world is unknown to him, but he considered Traverse Town his home world, because it is the only place he has a childhood in.

Current Location: Traverse Town

Personality: A laid back type of guy on the surface, but is actually a deep thinker and abit of a dreamer. Is neutral in his beliefs of the light and darkness, and believes both are necessary to find "The Truth." He some what envies the man called Ansem, for he was closest to finding it.


Bio: A young teen who arrived in Traverse Town when he was eight, with no memories of his previous world. In fact, he doesn't seem all that adamant about finding out about it, at least, not until a few days ago. He knew that he had arrived differently than most of his friends, but still felt like one of them. He had arring with his rival in the Second District, a group of heartless attacked. When most of his friends and other children fled, his rival and himself stayed back to fight a hopeless struggle. With the little training they had they fended them off, but it was too much for them. When all hope seemed lost, Vega's baton-melee weapon transformed into a keyblade. With its power, he quickly destroyed the heartless, but the keyblade disappeared soon after. His rival seemed to have known something, as he ran away after seeing the keyblade. Since that day, Vega has been constantly wondering about other worlds, and "The Truth", as well as his true home. He seeks answers from a famous veteran in Traverse Town known as Jet Angels. Vega is currently wandering around the town, searching for him.

Name: Kaiku Akari

Gender: Female

Appearance: Kaiku stands about five feet seven inches and weighs about one hundred and twenty-three pounds. She has black hair that drops to just above her mid-back with bight red tips; one side tucked behind her ear. Her eyes are emerald and cat-like. Her shirt is blood red with black crescent stars in each of the short sleeves. She wears black slacks held up by a bright red shirt. Her shoes are black for the most part with a red tip and back; the laces are red as well. Her skin is light and shows signs that she does not go outside often. In her left ear there is a sliver cross stud while in the other ear is a round one.

Weapon: Sword/Magic (Rarely uses Keyblade)


Home World: Yuki-Ryuu

Current Location: Traverse Town


Personality: At first appearance Kaiku emits a cold and non-social persona, but after getting to know people is a little more open. She still does not like to talk very much so in a conversation with questions she tries to stick to yes and no questions so she can just shake or nod her head.


Bio: Kaiku arrived in Traverse Town two years ago when her world was raided by the Heartless. She woke up to an odd place to later find out she was smack in the middle of the Third District. Keeping to herself and doing odd jobs in the town she managed to keep a good living when one day while walking down the alley doing one of her jobs the black creatures appeared as they did on her world before it was taken by the darkness. She tried to stop the Heartless from coming near her with the little magic she knew but it was not working. When the Heartless were about to attack her a bright flash of light filled the alley and then she felt something in her hand. When she looked and black, red, and sliver Keyblade was in her hands. After she had gotten rid of the Heartless in the alleyway the Keyblade vanished.

Ooc: sorry about the wait had to write an essay first yeah we can start now. I also might not be able to get on as frequently as I wish for a couple of weeks. So just be patient because once I'm finished with my projects and the such I will be posting in this much much more periodically

Ic: Aydrian was smiling as we walked through the doorway that led to Cid's shop. It was a store mainly for gummi blocks. This strange material was unknown to him and probably to his once proud people. It was said to be used for space travel but the people of Colonae Aydrian knew had already colonized there two moons and had gone past that in order to build an ice mine on a near by asteroid that had been caught in the gravity of Colonae and a near by planet which had no living creatures on it as far as anyone knew. The two planets kept it still in place making it a perfect base in which to build the mine. He looked at Cid and nodded his head.
“So what’s new any of the older buildings been restored”? He asked wanting so vary desperately to see the older houses. He was so interested in this planets culture. His world had never encountered life forms from any other world other than his own. This particular part of the city world sat at the base of the large castle was the king used to reside. His name had been Ansem and by all reports had gone from the noblest man to walk this planet to the worst being in the known universe. They had since then greatly changed there government to more of a democracy but having still a touch of monarchic control. Yes the leaders were voted in but they were a group of men and women who had been voted in instead of just one. They also had much more power than a true democratic leader. Aydrian himself wanted to move into the politics of this world so that he could teach these people everything he knew about a solid government and other sciences this world seemed not too posses.
“Nope they’ve taken a break on that. There searching the castle for any of Ansem’s minions to see if they remained in the castle”.
“Alright well then I’ll see ya later I suppose I’m heading to the castle to see if they’ll let me help”. Aydrian yelled as he walked out the door. Cid was really the only person other than a man named Vincent that he felt comfortable around. They had been the ones who found him at the edge of hypothermic shock in the wooded areas that were left in order to keep the area looking decent. The strangest part had been that it was late spring when he was found. He had never seen the inside of the castle and only wanted to see it and have nothing to do with the search.


As he approached the castle he noticed no guards standing at the door. This was unusual and he looked around for any nearby soldiers. There seemed to be none around. He grew nervous and wasn’t sure if he should enter. He slowly walked up to the door and knocked on it lightly. No one answer. He put his hand on it and it creaked open slightly. He pulled his hand back and slowly pushed it open. It was dark inside and vary cold. He breathed and as it hit the door way his exhaled breath became visible. He crept in looking around barely being able to see his hand in front of him.
“He-, hello”?
He yelled into the darkness. At the end of a long hallway a light appeared. As quickly as it appeared it came before Aydrian. It exploded throwing Aydrian back against the wall which suddenly disappeared and Aydrian found himself now halfway of the edge of a giant pillar. Were the light floated there now stood a man. He had long unkempt brown hair which covered all but one of his eyes which looked on Aydrian with vicious ferocity but seeming to convey that he could care whether or not Aydrian existed. His lips moved but no words came out of his mouth. It was as if he could feel the words instead of hearing them.
Key-blade
Aydrian’s mind kept pounding with that word.
Aydrian jumped to the side just in time to dodge the attack of the strange man. The ground where he had lain only a few seconds prior had exploded as a large sword like weapon slammed into it. Aydrian’s eyes widened as if he had come to a revelation.
“Key blade”. He said while standing up. In an instant the man attacked again but somehow Aydrian’s hand had come up and grabbed the shaft of the weapon.
“What, how could I-“.
Aydrian was thrown off the blade and sent across the pillar and was unfortunate enough to find himself beneath the blinding force of the “one eyed” man. The key blade slammed into his arm shattering nearly every bone in it and tearing flesh and muscle. He let out an ear shattering scream but it was muffled by the oncoming of blood shooting out of his throat. The coldness he had felt in the forest, the coldness he felt after his world vanished, returned to him. The man’s lips once again moved but this time words came out.
“Awaken”!

Aydrian woke in the throne room his mutilated arm clutching onto the same weapon that had broken it. Standing above him was a man he recognized as Leon holding his sword covered in Aydrian’s blood. Strewn about him were the bodies of the leading men and women of Hollow Bastion.
“No more”. Leon whispered

Aydrian blacked out. His dreams were nightmares of the “one eyed” man
