Star Wars: The Luthinai Rising.

Plot: As it is well known, Luke Skywalker was victorious in the rebellion against the oppressive Empire. The Emperor was defeated and millions of planet's were set free.

A new Jedi Order was created, the Sith supposedly wiped out. The new Jedi Council was formed, and Master Luke Skywalker is revered as the strongest being in existence.

After years of utopia, the darkness within people is beginning to become more and more obvious. THe Sith are making a comeback. Their Order has been revamped, and has become a more organized, even more lethal following.

The Jedi will have a tough time ahead of them. They must negotiate between planets and keep the Sith at bay.

Will you follow the path before you, or travel the road less followed? The Path of the Luthinai, those who are in-between.

No time traveling, cyborgs, etc.
YOu can be either JEDI OR SITH. Those who go on the Luthinai path will be decided later.
If everyone is "Moody, nice when you get to know him/her/it but mostly a loner" and so on, you will die a flaming, screaming, painful, miserable death.

Romance is allowed, actualy..........pretty much a must.
Swearing is ok, just dont go too far. It will only be really expected on the Sith side.

Name: Kran Valyon
Age: 29
Appearance: Head only
CLothes: Normal Jedi Master robes.
Lightsaber style(double, single, staff)[2 max]: Double, staff
Lightsaber form(one only): Form 4. It is a very acrobatic form, with many spins and jumps. The force is used often to accelerate and amplify movements and speed.
Personality: Kran is a very quiet, reserved person. He often waits paiently, while others explain their problems or question to him.
Bio: Kran was born on a world where social rank was everything. It was much like the Victorian period on England. His family was in one of the higher on the planet. He has been taught how to ballroom dance as a teenager, and this is often incorporated into his elegant, smooth form of combat. Master Luke Skywalker found him and sensed an unusual amount of midi-chlorians in Kran. He took him to the world of Coruscant, where the new Jedi Order is based and taught him in the ways of the Force.

CLothes: Wears dark brown caprees that reach down to her knees *of course ^_^* with white socks that run up past her knees, tucked under her pants. Wears worn out working boots and a light blue colored tank top. A small strip of fabric is usually used as a headband.

Lightsaber style(double, single, staff)[2 max]: single staff

Lightsaber form: Form III :the most defensive of all of the forms, for an indefinite period of time. The form utilizes motions occurring very close to the body to achieve near-total protection, efficiently expending as little energy as possible to execute these moves.

Personality: She is very hard working and always tries to accomplish her goals or reach above them. She is a good judge of people for the most part and is not someone who is untrustworthy of newcomers though she is wary. In total she is a very outgoing person and is always willing to try something new.

Bio: She grew up on a planet that was mainly covered in thick forests with the exception of a handful of large cities. Rose lived within a small village with her family and was often found out in the forest when she was younger. Though she usually got into a bit of trouble from some of the creatures within the forest, she never minded the cuts and bruises and was simply amused by the adventure. She helped her parents out with their small farm and the shop. She has yet to discover that she is one of few to have the “force” within her and continues to live a simple life making ocassional trips to the cities.

Lightsaber form: Form 4, Acrobatic
Personality: An out-going and all-knowing alien girl, Taarin can be too soft at times, and it can cost her dearly.
Bio: Born on Ceramalia, a monarchy where he practice in sword-play was forbidden to the public, and available only to the royal line. When her father, a former Jedi, was killed in an ambush executed by the order of Palpatine, her mother took Taarin and left the village to teach her what she knew of sword-play. At the age of 45, Taarin's mother was taken by sickness, and Taarin returned to the city too bring down the kingdom tyrannical rule. With the lightsabers used by her father and mother, Taarin stormed the castle, and assasinated the king. An outlaw, she left, and then came across an old Jedi mistress by the name of Yumei Kato, who's mother had been slain by the Sith Lord, Vader. She agreed to join the New Order, and became one of the few female Jedi Knights.

Name: I'kiam Zhank
Age:21
Appearance:(Disregard the girl under him)
Clothes: Battened havy metal gloves dashed with the symbol of the New Order, Dark, dusky pants that reach down past his ankles, and are tucked into dark- brown leather boots. A long black shirt is also lightly tucked into his pants.
Lightsaber style(double, single, staff): Single
Lightsaber Form(one only): Form 7. The most challenging and demanding of all forms, Form 7 requires intense focus, high levels of skill, and mastery of other forms.
Personality: I'kiam is an introvert who never speaks up and probably never will. He usually only gives nods and shakes his head for replies, he is always seen as a loner, and by tradition is looked down upon because of this quality.
Bio: I'kiam was born on the arid, sparsely populated planet of Concord Dawn where he grew up in an agricultural background. He disliked everything about the farming lifestyle of the people and himself on Concord Dawn, he only wanted to travel, going from planet to planet so he could see everything until he died. To quench this thirst of adventure he would wander off into the mountains and get caught, or come back with wounds on his body. He always brought up the idea of going to somewhere else in the universe, but his parents ignored these petty dreams and only wished for him to keep up the farming business on their home planet, he knew it was always important to them and it was part of his culture to always obey and honor his parents no matter what. Although, this ambition stayed with him no matter what. He expected that would follow in his parent's footsteps as they did and the generattions before them, he continued to do as he was wished until a day came when a man named Shreen visited Concord Dawn. He spoke of how the "Force" was strong in him. For unknown reasons, his parents told him to go with Shreen to a place called Coruscant. At the age of 7 he was taken to Coruscant and once he was there he understood who Shreen, was and his own place in the universe.

"Relax. There's no rush. Take a deep breath and try again."

Kran instructed the Jedi students. They were in a large domed room and each of them had a large, iron block in front of them. 20 minutes into the lesson, none of them had been able to lift it without using their arms. They were no older than 10 and yet, they were absolutely determined to lift their respective blocks off the ground.

The evening sun streamed through the windows of the new Jedi Temple, casting long, orange rectagles of light across the room. Ships and hovercraft zoomed overhead, their engines barely audible inside the temple.

One student in particular was making a rather odd face in his attempt to lift the block. He looked as though he were stuck somewhere between a seizure and a sneeze and his block had done little more than shake lightly.

Kran placed his hand on his shoulder, the boy instantly snapping out of his odd-faced trance and looking up at the Jedi Master. He pouted and crossed his arms.

"It's too heavy." he said simply.

Kran sighed, rubbing his forehead to dispel an oncoming headache. He squatted down next to the boy, pointing at the iron block.

"Weight has nothing to do with it. It all depends on how much you think it weighs. Imagine it is as light as a feather. Close you eyes then try."

THe boy grumbled then returned to his block, closing his eyes tightly. He held out a hand, pointing at the block. It rattled lightly. Then it's shake became more profound and it eventually lifted itself off the ground entirely.

"Now open your eyes."

The boy carefully opened one eye, then another, astounded at his progress. He looked from the block, to Kran and back again several times before squealing and jumping up and down in excitement. Once he did so, the block promptly fell back to earth with a loud thud.

"Very good."

Rose walked along one of the sidewalks of the large city looking at all of the different stores and buildings. Though it was an interesting place to be she felt cramped and small compared to the sky high buildings. Pulling her brown messenger bag further up along her shoulder she watched as the vehicles sped past her. Though she came here once or twice a year to help with her family's business, the sights never ceased to amaze her.

Rose had spent the last week or so within the city making arrangements with some of the food companies. They were always willing to provide the transportaion of the goods but this year it was a bit difficult to comvince them this year. But being a large provider for the city they finally gave in to her request.

Glancing up at the large clock that stood towering over the city she watched as picutres flashed across the screens below the time. There was still an hour before she would be leaving the city, that is if the ship came at the scheduled time. A restaurant was on the nearby corner and she sat herself down on the balcony. Ordering her food she leaned back in her chair and took a deep breath. Once she got back home it would be almost time for the harvest to beigin. It was hard work but at least it would bring in more money for the family.

Age: 20

Appearance: Looks exactly like Vincent from FF7
Clothes: Wears your basic mercenary style of clothing, much like what Han Solo wore. However he does respect the new order and wear his white robes whenever it is nescessery.

Lightsaber style: Single white sabre
Lightsaber form(one only): Form 3, defensive.

Personality: Dusk is an extremely determined person. If he sets his sights on a target he will more then likely do anything and everything in his power to get to it.

Bio: Dusk was brought up as an orphan. His mother was only young when she gave birth to him so she decided to abandon him at an orphanage. Dusk spent the next 12 years in the orphanage being ignored by everyone who ever came to adopt a child.

Eventually Dusk ran away from the orphanage and made his way on the streets as a pickpocket. Over the next few years he made his way doing odd jobs for crime bosses and thugs.

When he turned 15 he came across Han Solo. Han took pity on him, seeing as he saw something of himself in Dusk and took him with him.

On a visit to meet his good freind Luke, Han introduced Dusk to Luke and instantly Luke felt a strong presence from Dusk. Immediatley Luke invited Dusk to join the new Jedi ordere and train in the acadamy. Dusk accepted and finally found his home.


ic: Dusk was lay down in the middle of a dark room. He wasn't sleeping, just relaxing in the peaceful enviroment he was in. He was wearing his usual clothes, his "mercenarie" clothes, but he was also wearing a blindfold for some reason.

Suddenly Dusk lept up and the room lit up in a big flash. Dusk drew his lightsabre and closed his eyes from behind the blindfold. Listening around he heard a swarm of swooshing noises around him. Suddenly he heard a small zap and he dived forward. The swarm seemed to follow him and Dusk got back to his feet and into his normal defensive posistion.

The swarm once again produced a zap noise but this time Dusk held his lightsabre towards where the noise came from. The zap turned into a somewhat pinging noise and this was followed by a small explosion. The others in the swarm decided to attck in a group.

They all fired at the same time but Dusk countered with a smooth swing of his lightsabre, sending the blasts back to their operators. A loud stream of explosions could be heard and suddenly the swarm started to fire repeatedly. Dusk started to swing his sabre in all directions, blocking attacks hig, low and from every side.

Eventually Dusk ended by thrusting his sabre forward and destroying what seemed to be the last opponent. He removed his blindfold and opened his eyes. All around was a pile of smoking metal which Dusk had caused. His defensive skills had truely improved and he walked out pleased with the progress he had made.

He felt the heat of a million stars flow through him giving him a dense filling throughout his whole body, every breath could make one go into insanity for a craving of water, boil the blood of the weak in a second and make all snivel from the heat, but these were the steps he had to take to go from a Padawn to a Jedi Knight, and maybe a master. Moments ago he was sitting in thousands of degrees below zero, colder than Hoth, now he was in a star. The room he sat in was filled with a few other Padawans around the same age as himself, none of them had spoken since their test began they only sat their and focused.

I'kiam drew in a deep breath, and loosely let it out, the seventh hour since the test began was treading on. None of them seemed tired, nor did they faulter, all of them were the same. Without the mind, without emotion, but with the Force. 16 others had to do this over, he was lucky to even come this far, many had stopped right in the second hour, before it was ever as extreme as this scenario. I'kiam took in another deep breath and slowly released it once more. He could feel an eagerness go through him, but he retained it knowing that it could set off his focus, the seconds were almost leading up to the seventh hour. The second was 251,995; 251,996; 251,997; 251,998; 251,999; 252,000.

I'kiam drew in another breath at the same time as the heat went back to the room temperature it was at before, it felt so odd to him, he grew accustom to the extreme weathers, but he didn't grow accustom to the hours of sitting. He got up from the smooth floor, and walked through the doors. Jedi Master Johm was beside the door of the room with his usuaual warm smile.

"I see you did well, I'kiam."

"Thank you, I also thought I did well.", whispered I'kiam.

I'kiam walked down the hall towards his retiring area, he did not need sleep, but the test was both challenging and irritating, he needed something to soothe himself.
