「 PERSONA 」ideas & rp template

So basically, this has been milling around in my head for a couple weeks now. Making an RP inspired in the likeness of the Persona series, namely Persona 4. (The other games are fun, buy them.)

In the vein of some RPs before it... some of you may remember the Battle Royale RPs of yore, this RP will feature YOU. That's right. YOU IRL. It will take place in a town that'll be moderately sized since I know some of us live in small towns and big cities. I also know that some of us are high-school and college-age, and I have a plan to deal with that. (High-school a block away from the college lol.)

We acknowledge that we all are members of KHInsider (but for the sake of the game we can call it another kind of message board if we want). And that's basically a small way of knowing each other. The people you know here on KHI are the people you'll most likely form bonds with first. (Will get into this later.)

So, I'll just get this out of the way now. This RP isn't for you if you want to be some aloof fag that has his/her ears in headphones all day and wants to unleash their darkness. If you're actually like this, that's fine I guess, but you'll have a hard time in this roleplay.

Gaining your Persona comes after understanding your own insecurities, and accepting them as part of yourself. THIS IS THE KEYMOST PART OF YOUR CHARACTER'S PLOT. So, that means no bullshit about "accepting that I'm different than other people whine whine", because that's weak. We're talking about a part of yourself that you don't like showing to other people.

Reward system:

As in Persona 4, a character gains a Persona after accepting part of themself they have cast off and denied. This isn't going to be a simple thing, but I know it needs to be executed a bit earlier in the plot if not even before the story starts to keep momentum. I'm still deli-bear-ating on how to execute that. Just know that you can't be like "i know myself and i accept that i hate myself can i have my uber cool persona now". There has to be a path to it. In designing your Persona, it's okay to design something that looks badass, because it's a reward for you accepting yourself. Just be sure to make it somewhat of a Persona that reflects what you want to be to other people, etc. The power of these Persona will depend on preset rules though. (keep reading)

As in the Persona series, gaining power means that you have to FORM BONDS WITH PEOPLE. That's why if you're an emofag you're not going to get far. It also doesn't necessarily that you can pull some facebook shit and expect people to like you. You have to spend time with them either one on one or in a group and it has to be genuine. ITT lets hang out or go do something after school etc. Each RP participant WILL BE ASSIGNED AN ARCANA so that if you spend time with people you will gain a level in that bond and learn new abilities etc. INVESTING IN OTHER PEOPLE WILL GET YOU A BROADER ARRAY OF ATTACKS.

HOWEVER

Some Arcana will be different, like doing favors for NPCs that have an Arcana or specific things etc. These could be done on your own. This is if the people you're with leave you in the dust or for people that join late. I'd make a list of what these are, etc.

ELEMENTS BALANCE EVERYONE.
Each Persona will have an element attributed to it. And as you can tell, some elements are stronger and weaker than others. That's why some people will be more valuable in a fight than others, meaning that you can't stroke your e-cock and expect to one-hit everything. You will choose your own element from a list. No custom bullshit Organization XIII faggotry elements. No light and darkness. (I know they're in Persona but I'm cutting them to prevent holier-than-thou angels and darkness demon douche stuff.)

The elements are:

Fire [Agi family] (you know fire, it's hot)
Ice [Bufu family] (cold shit bro)
Electricity [Zio family] (lightning zap)
Water [Aqua family] (glug glug)
Wind [Garu family] (wooooooosh)
Earth [Tera family](shake n bake)
Force [Zan family] (blamkablam)
Ether [Psy family] (pewpewlazer)

I'll list what's weak or strong against what if this thing takes off.

[ADDENDUM #1]

I think what I'll suggest is have characters go through an Awakening in which they'll gain their first level elemental spell but not their Persona. After an appropriate amount of time, that will happen.
Oh and since Personatards have weapons, we'll figure that out too. But, I'll hold off on this too since this needs to be appropriate.

Also, I think that we would have different threads be different areas of the RP, just because socializing is key.

You are in a wheelchair now, then you'll need to be in a wheelchair in your RP.

Maybe that's also a clue to the path to your Persona.
