The Endowed...(sign ups)

The world is growing,expanding, new continents are trading, and magic is growing..

Welcome to Italy! Like the rest of the world, the country is about half endowed and non endowed. The Endowed are known to possess magic, but the use and spreading of the knowledge is up to them.

The Endowed are studied, but only with consent, in order to find out what makes them Endowed.

And they are treated no differently then the rest of the population.

Generally, everything is fine. But the Mafia is starting to make an edge on the merchants and civillains (mostly protection and drug smuggling), and the leader is Endowed... he's a youth Vampire. Fortunately, there is help with the morally and gender ambiguous The Fox. (Endowed with opening locks and is a very good theif) and her alter Ego, Aura Vizzini.

Meanwhile, what does the Brotherhood of Nations have to do with a Mysterious sphere, and why does the Assassins known as The Triad want it?

Okay... This will begin September 1st, when I have clear access to the internet. But I want Character stuff now.

Aura is not the only hero. And the Mafia isn't hte only villian.

You can be Endowed or Normal (and the Normals can be kick butt)

Endowed shouldn't be overpowered (No mind bullets, etc.. unless there is a weakness)

Any country is open, but keep it to ones around the time of the Renaissance.

General rules otherwise (no godmodding, etc)
Keep it at PG 13. Making out is allowed, and I'll allow references to sex but more along the lines of "I had great sex with X last night!" not a detailed description

Is there a limit to the endowed powers besides being over-the-top? Or can it be anything?

Anything. I've only listed two. Aura opens locks, while the Mafia Leader sucks youth from people.

Physical description: of medium height, Brown hair (slight gray at temples) blue eyes, some crows feet, but a generally lean muscular form. Aura wears period dresses and some Jewlery. The Fox wears baggy black clothes that disguises everything about her form, including her breats.

Brief history: At 14 she discovered her ability to open locks. Combined with her moderate Kleptomania, Aura became The Fox. The Fox steals only items of minor value (including sentimental) but will turn bigger criminals over to the police. this makes The Fox a bit of an enigma in the Criminal Underworld. No one, not even her best friend Quicksilver a Conman, knows anything about her, but she is obviously a thief... at 23 she married Wally Vizinni and helps in his Merchant business. She disguises her athleticism by pretending to be a klutz. Because she knows who the conmen are, she keeps her husband out of bad deals. She is also infertile, or thinks she is anyway.

So what kind of rp is this? Like a mafia thing? Or are the mafia just a part of a bigger picture?

Mafia are part of the bigger picture. You can make an opposing Mafia, a Police Officer, whatever.

and how will they tie in with the story? What exactly is the plot we are doing?

And more clarification. Normals can be in the underworld, and endowed can be bakers, merchants, etc.

I'll try to think up some stuff but one thing I notice right off the bat is that you say it has mafia but you want the countries to be Renaissance and I'm unaware of a mafia in the time period.

It's Alternate history... It's got magic, a bit of Steam punk, and..yeah...

Anyway, to make things easier I do have some slightly preformed characters you can use.

Aura/The Fox
Wally Vizzini (not endowed, her merchant husband, 42)
Quicksliver (Conman, unendowed, I'm heavily flirting with the idea to make him gay)
the Triad (3 people. All Endowed and are basically assassins. One can never get lost, another can find anything they want (so one finds, another tracks) but I forget the third's power)

And we have the UN Organization which I just started to piece together.


Just for some ideas. But I'm hopeing not everyone will be in the underworld.

So it's the mafia versus the regular people plus this UN Organization? I'm guessing that the UN is United Nations?

Yep, UN is the United Nations.

I'll admit I'm working on this as a story and I need some ideas so... but I think this could be quite interesting. Just as long as we get a good mix of every type in here.

And my parents took an unexpected trip, so I'm on till Friday.
