=== Background Story ===

Thousands of years after the crisis of the Twilight Realm, when those events became legends, an unknown Swordsman named Vaati came from the depth of the Death Mountain. With him appeared an army of the worst possible creatures, that attacked the peaceful Goron’s civilization who lives on this very mountain, without any warning or reasons. This army quickly took over the place known as the 'Tower of Era', built hundreds of year previously to the attack, and eliminated half of the Gorons before the King of Hyrule could hear about the attack.

A Goron messenger could escape the battlefield, and went to the Castle of Hyrule, requesting help from the King, who decided to send troops in order to help fighting this mysterious threat. Yet he didn’t expect Vaati to suddenly enter inside the Throne Room and to kill him, right as he gave the orders, under the eyes of numerous guards. They tried to fight him and to save the King, but were quickly defeated. Vaati didn’t satisfy himself just by taking the King’s life, and as such stole from his corpse a mysterious artifact, then left back into the Tower of Era, to finish exterminating the Gorons, the last step before directing his troops toward the Castle of Hyrule.

The princess of the Kingdom, Zelda, followed what her father would have done, and decided to send to the Death Mountain Knights of the Kingdom, in order to help the Gorons, and by extension to protect the Kingdom. The troops, although devastated by the King’s death, followed the orders of the princess. She named her childhood friend, a young man named Link, exceptionally skilled for his young age, to lead the troops to fight the war against this mysterious army.

This will be the start of a war that could eventually spread to the whole Kingdom of Hyrule.

Alliance of Hyrule
The Alliance of Hyrule counts inside of it all the different specie that coexists at Hyrule and have no interest to see Vaati devastating the Kingdom. As they know that no specie is totally safe, Zoras, Gorons, Sheikah, and all others specie are forming an exceptional alliance, under Zelda’s rule. Only the Gerudos aren’t officially part of the alliance. Yet, they can work for the alliance if they feel like, but can also work for the enemy...

Dark World
The Dark World, more than just the world, is the image of all the evil force that are under Ganondorf’s command. All the evil forces gathered on this side during ages, and now they intend to take Hyrule by force. Traitors to the Alliance of Hyrule (traitor Zoras, etc) can also come to fight on this side.

Shadow People
The Shadow People are those inhabiting the Twilight Realm and are divided into two groups: The Twili, peaceful, but who nevertheless seeks revenge against Ganondorf since what he did to them, and the Dark Tribe, whose only wish is to take over Hyrule by getting the Triforce. The Dark Tribe worked during millennia to find an alternate path to invade Hyrule, other than the Mirror: they finally successfully found one, and count on allying with the Dark World… for now.

The Twili, using those new paths, will come to warn Hyrule from the danger that the Dark Tribe is, and will ally with them into fighting the Dark World, and by consequences the Dark Tribe, even though their fight by alliance will turn into a fight by vengeance when learning the mastermind of the Dark World, no other than Ganondorf.

---- Plot ----

You are either a warrior working for the Alliance of Hyrule or one working for the Dark World; you can also be one of the Shadow People who came in order to give a hand to your light counterpart, or to help the Dark World to conquer them. This is war having hundreds, if not thousands, of soldiers and monsters fighting. You’ll have to fight against the force of the opposite side and leads your allies, or your minions, into victory during the war.

Additionally, it appears that there are more doors to the Dark World hidden than the one from the Death Mountain that Vaati used, deep inside Temples. Following what side you chosed, you’ll have to seal those doors or to widely open them to help your side into victory.


---- Timeline ----

This role play happens thousands of years after the events of Twilight Princess. The episodes that happened here are Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess only.
Others episodes happened in the other timeline: this means characters dead in other episodes can be alive here, and so on. In this timeline for example, "Minish Cap" never happened, and so this is Vaati’s first appearance as Enemy of Hyrule.

No God Modding.
No powerplaying.

Ask for an agreement with the member possessing the character; if no agreement is reached then no killing.
Remain active – Warn if you have to leave for some time that we can find a way to keep your character in.
Limit bad languages .
Relationship are allowed but PG-13.
Have at least one paragraph per post – I can understand if it is not perfectly written, just try at least.

---- Rank ----

You have to chose a rank for your characters. The rank matters mostly for “war battles”, where you'll have to lead troop and follow orders from your superiors; in temple's exploration and classic battles, it matters less.

-General: The character is near of the top of the hierarchy of his side, only the leaders being above him, controls large troops during battles.
-Commander: The characters can give orders to troops, although smaller.
-Captain: Can give order to only a few number of soldier

You can be Zelda if you wish; in all case Link may be the head of military operation (with some generals) so it makes Zelda's task easier.

Personality: Launcelot is a person with humor (although a special one), making him a bit different from most Sheikah. He is a good warrior and is generally liked by people under his orders. He remains careful when acting but know when being careless can be needed in extreme situation, although his life was quite peaceful before the start of the war.
Biography: Launcelot is born from the sister of the leader of the Sheikah tribe, his father being some random Sheikah she fell in love with. He trained since very young to serve into the Hyrule Army, considering himself very near of the Hylians peoples. When he was 18, he trained at the limits of the Kingdom of Hyrule with some Hylians soldiers, and felt that a nearby Hylian village was attacked by monsters, thanks to his Sheikah ability, that came out of a nearby forest. He leaded the soldiers at it and they successfully stopped, exterminated the monsters and saved the village, what granted him the thanks from the King.

With the coming war, he volunteered himself to work for stopping this mysterious army, and this way keep Hyrule as a peaceful land. Thanks to the newly done alliance of all races inhabiting this realm, it was possible, at the sad exception of Gerudos, which he hoped would join their side someday.

Hmm... has promise. Now then, a new Gerudo male is born every 100 years correct? Would the last Gerudo male before this still be living? And can you choose not to join any side? Although... technically the gerudo, regardless of overall importance, are not on any side as specified by your OP... I'll consider it, if I get some more specific information.

Technically yes, he'd even be the Gerudo King if we go by what OoT taught us on them, though that's up to anyone willing to do his role.

Gerudos are 'technically' the only peoples who can chose to not be on any side (they can also go on the side having their preference; their leader wasn't really for an alliance with the Hylians, nor with this mysterious enemy).
Others character (Zoras, Sheikah, etc) in logic follow the alliance their race has done with the Hylians, or exceptionally, one or many of them can chose to betray the alliance and to go with the Dark World's force.

I guess a Hylian, Zora, etc could chose to be neutral as well, as long as he still can participate to key points (battlefield war, temple quests, latter on searching the Sages, etc). I didn't think they'd do that choice, but if anyone want to have a Neutral Hylian for example, why not.

On a side note, the Dark Tribe could also become their own side if the RP goes far enough, and following the events the Gerudos could chose to do an alliance with one of the sides, but we're far from those for now.

Personality: Anele is slightly over the top and constantly on task. She likes things to be orderly and done quickly but efficiently.

Biography: Anele was born as one of the Twili in line to rule but rejected any claim she might have to it. She had always felt she could do better good as a regular citizen in the Twilight Realm then as a ruler. For that, Anele began to train, learning how to fight. She had made two identical silver scimitars to fight with. When she heard about the troubles in Hyrule, and remembered that Hyrule and the Twilight Realm were mostly mutual friends. Anele joined in with the forces that were being sent to help and worked up the ranks to Commander.

^ Alright. Ganondorf was missing for millenia and still is in the Dark World though; so in waiting his "return" Gerudo may have taken a normal way of life with King as before.

I'm hesitating between getting a Twili or Dark Tribe, since I feel the Dark Tribe don't get a lot fans xD
