Centuries ago, the planet of Elend was struck by a meteor. This broke the world into 4 separate continents, Nördlich, Südlicher, Östlicher, Westen. With the four continents separated by an ocean, the world was thrown into chaos. Without the goods from other lands, the economy began to suffer.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a man appeared. His name was Ozean Schiffman, and his skill with building was inhuman. Within days, he revealed to the world a vessel that could cross water. Aquato, it was called. With the help of Ozean, countless other models were created, and peace was delivered.
Decades after Ozean’s death, the sea became unruly. Storms plagued the travels of every sailor, and violent whirlpools devoured all the came within their radius. Travel was once again impossible, and hope was little.
Until Ozean’s descendant, Himmel Schiffman, continued his ancestor’s legacy, and built the airborne child of the Aqauto. They called it an Ariauto, and it was able to soar over the ocean’s fierce storms. After this miracle, the Schiffmans became the high point in the social order.
Countless more decades passed. Captain Issac Lemure’s crew fell ill to an unknown disease during their travels. Scholars discover a poison in the high altitude air, lethal in the smallest quantity. Although measures were taken so air-travel was possible, some theorized that soon the poison would descend to the surface. At this, people called out for the Schiffmans to save them once again. And yet the current Schiffman, Platz Shiffman, was not to be found.
10 years later, in the present, the government is offering a grand reward to anyone who can discover the whereabouts of Platz Schiffman. Reward looking appealing, and a layer of toxic fumes slowly descending to cities everywhere, the world is in an uproar. Summary
Everyone is looking for Schiffman. Without him, society’s screwed. There will be two forces in this RP
Lemure’s Group: This will be a group looking for Schiffman, and the “good guys” of the RP. I’ll be making two characters, both of whom will be on this side. They have a lead on the whereabouts of Schiffman.
The Truth: The “bad guys” of the RP. They don’t want to kill Schiffman, or at least prevent him from being found. Those who want the be Truths will be in a group assigned to kill Lemure’s group.
I’d also be for an air pirate group, but only if enough people are interested. Meaning the other groups having enough people, and some left over who would want to be air pirates.
One note about the world of Elend, it isn’t futuristic, or even modern. The invention of Aquatos and Ariautos was… kind of rushed. Meaning that those two inventions are the peak of technology. The rest of the world would be… I suppose around the end of our 18th century in terms of Technology. So like, Revolvers and shit.
Quick description of each continent (all being a little bigger then Australia)
Nördlich- Desert-ish. Main export being fishing and such
Südlicher- Think west Europe. Where the RP starts out, main area of trading
Östlicher- Freaking cold.
Westen- Trees, lots of them. Only about 10% of it is inhabited by humans.
There’s also no magic. What I Like
1) People who follow the general RP rules. No taking someone else’s character and throwing them off a cliff.
2) People who know how to type. I don’t mean you have to be perfect, just try to post intelligently. Meaning I don’t want a sentence like “Dude ran over to the crowd AND SWUNG HIS GIANT SWORD, KILLING EVERYONE IT WAS SO AWESOME then he got it on with 3 women at the same time.”
3) Originality. Do it.
What I don’t like
1) Giant Swords. Seriously
2) Swords in general. I won’t get pissy if you have a sword as your weapon, but I’d rather not have ½ the RP use swords
3) Katanas. No katanas. Overused and lame.
4) People who can’t read. So I don’t want to be reading your Temp, and see
“Dude has this laser katana and magic powers that can raise fire.”
5) Boring Bios. If you can’t come up with something original, then just write little. I don’t want to read that your character’s brother killed your whole family who could see ghosts so he went to the spirit world and learned how to exorcise alien samurai
