And yes, this mainly was for me. I needed this change, but, I hope I can bring about change for others because of this. Thank you though.

I remember when I first started. I couldn't make a decent sentence without messing something up. I read, just small posts in Role Plays mostly, and learned through reading and experience. I read three pages of the dictionary once. It was big, with fat pages. Anyway, my point is, I began to learn, wanted to learn, enjoyed letting my imagination run wild, but then... then I lost my general idea of why I was even writing. Honestly, I lost myself in all of that Rp Battling. I tried quite a few times to grasp the actual concept of every single thing that was said about the Omniverse. Planes, blah blah blah. I was lost in it. Instead of letting my imagination flourish ( not exactly flourish, but just have fun with things ) I restrained myself with ideas. Now, I'm not saying that those ideas were restraining. They weren't. But that's how I lost my reason for role playing.

I went from knowing nothing, to enjoying myself, to not knowing why I was even participating that had anything to do with role play.

And because of this thread I just remembered.

To those who are complaining about that last sentence - you can't change a forum without changing the people inside of it. Because, well, the people make up the forum. Kegan is changing, so he's doing his part. Change and you will see change as a result, in the forum and other people.

In the oddest way, this really encouraged me. Not to change the forum and all of that bullshit, but it reminded me of why I had been role playing. I'll be around. New account, maybe, probably because I'm just known for that. But I'll be around. Thanks, anyway, Kegan. You said some things that actually needed to be said by someone. Because I have been saying the same thing to myself for at least a year now. But to have someone else say it, well, I've realized what I've known for a very long time. I guess you just shined some light.
