[Capture The Flag]

A claming wind blows to the east as leaves fall from the tree branches they once clung to. Such beautiful sights as few have ever known. The remains of the Icarus II lay barren and moss covered, taken over by nature.

In the year 2094, a being fell from the sky. It landed in a small field just outside Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This being was later to be called “Icarus.” It seemed fitting seeing as the wings of the craft had been burned away upon entering the Earths atmosphere. A scan of the wreckage revealed no crew inside. The craft was completely empty. Save one item.

Found in a hidden compartment below what was assumed to be the cockpit, was what seemed to be a high tech and somewhat futuristic tape recorder. On the side were two buttons with odd symbols etched into them. The finders assumed one was stop, and the other was play.

The item, when played, projected from itself, a hologram of a creature not known to this world. The message had been pre-translated and read as follows:

“Warning.

Captains log, 0600 hours, 7th post.

We seem to be unable to push back their forces. They are just too great in numbers. I have successfully barricaded myself into what appears to by a small restroom in the lower decks of the ships. I can hear them all around me. The tang of their legs against the metal is nerve racking. I believe myself to be the last person alive the ship, and soon it shall be none. If you are listening to this message then at least some good shall be done with my death. Heed my warning. They will follow this ship. They will seek the remains. They will come, and they will kill.

Aboard this ship you will find the logs of Captain J. A. Witticker. The logs contain the information and ideals of a weapon that may be able to defeat them once and for all. I can hear them in the chutes now. Here they come. Oh god.

AHH------------“

The hologram disappears and small explosions can be heard. Several screeches ring out and a bloodied hand falls into view. The hand quickly pulls away and the hologram comes to an end.

The ship was slowly taken apart, and the logs were stored in a government facility 600 feet below the surface of a small town in Colorado. The remains of the ship were taken away in many dump trucks and hauling vehicles. The location of these remains is still unknown.

8 years later a second being fell from the sky, landing in a small forest in rural Ohio. Before the government could get to it, a small group of young adults walking in the forest stumbled across the large entity. They searched it to find that a second warning had been sent. It read as follows:

“We are coming.”

Little did they know what was in store for them. Shortly after the message played the children were captured by military soldiers. They were put in quarantine for several months. Then the assault started.

Hundreds of thousands of 9ft tall pods fell from the skies landing in various positions all around the globe. These pods seemed to be inactive for the time being. 4 days after initial landing, these pods exploded to reveal large spider like entities. They were slimy, had huge fangs protruding from their mouths, 2 feet in diameter, black with a glowing neon green underbelly, and a rock like shell on their backs. They had eight legs and traveled very quickly. They could easily reach speeds up to 40 mph and could jump the length of half a football field. The earth, needless to say, was not prepared for the massacre that would ensue.

Though the world powers had special groups of men and woman to fight against these invaders, many were slaughtered by the mass of numbers. Everyone else took to hiding. Cities were reduced to rubble. Country sides burned, the smoke and ash of which littered the grounds all around.

The children were released from their quarantine when a young soldier, realizing their lives were in danger, opened the locked doors and allowed them to escape. He instructed them to take to the hills and mountain tops because the creatures had less grip on the rocky sloping surfaces. So they ran to the cliffs of the tallest mountains. Soon after they decided to return home and check on their families. What they found was nothing less than tragic. All their families were gone, presumed dead. And the once beautiful city they had lived in was nothing more than a trash heap, with several buildings on fire, cars abandoned in the streets and personal items scattered all over the ground.

As they swept the city for survivors, a convoy of military grade vehicles approached from their rear. Out of the head jeep climbed a boy not much older than them. He offered them a chance to join the army in a chance to fight back the enemy. They all accepted. They were trained to fight the enemy. Their personal abilities were focused. They came to be known as Team Sigma. Now, they fight for their lives. Off, somewhere on the horizon, came a small constant sonar plip from the Icarus II.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Sky has short to medium length, messy brown hair that sticks out at odd angles but covers his forehead. He has blue eyes and stand about 5’ 9” with an approximate weight of 145 lbs. He wears a black shirt with a military jacket above that. He also wears tight pants and black shoes. Across his mouth he wears a bandanna with his home towns name pasted across it.

Ability: Sky has the ability to make his bones grow to any length or shape, in or outside of his body. He feels no pain during this process and his skin instantly closes any wounds that he receives from this talent.

Bio: Sky was among the initial group to find the Icarus II. During the quarantine, Sky pretty much kept to himself. He wasn’t sure what he had seen or what had happened to him since then, but he knew he needed to leave this place.

The day the soldier set them free, Sky decided immediately that he didn’t want to be the on in command. He knew someone had to do it, and that everyone else’s lives would be in their hands, based upon their decisions. Sky didn’t want that. So he stayed towards the back of the group and just followed everyone else. When they searched the town, Sky was among the first few to locate what was left of their homes. All they could be salvaged from the pile of debris left where a beautiful building once stood was the bandanna that he now wears.


After they joined the military, Sky stumbled across his ability with his bones. They were all amazed at this but Sky knew that some of them could do just as amazing things.

Name: Laci Brown
Age: 17
Gender: Female

Appearance: Standing at five feet, Laci is not the tallest of girls. Her build is petite, matching her height, and is fairly slender, but well-proportioned. Laci's complexion is quite pale, but her hair, and eyes are fairly dark - her hair being of an onyx shade, and her eyes a deep hazel. Her snub face is freckled, making her appear slightly younger than she actually is - an attribute she despises. The girl is not particularly pretty. Laci also wears glasses.
As for clothing, Laci tends to dress casually, but in a feminine manner typical of a girl her age. She is not one to dress scruffily unless occasion calls for it. Usual attire consists of a intricate, bright floral vest, with a plain white one worn over it, and a denim skirt. She also wears a pair of baseball-style shoes, and legwarmers to match her shirt. If it is cold she adds a pair of leggings and a grey, fitted hoodie.

Ability: Laci has been studying martial arts from a surprisingly young age - thanks to her father, the Sensei of a local karate group. As a result she is very skilled in combat, and can easily defeat opponents twice, or three times her own age. Another by-product of this skill is her quick reflexes, and her agility. In peak physical condition, she can run fairly quickly and has a great deal of stamina.

Bio: Growing up in the suburbs, Laci had a fairly normal upbringing. She had two older brothers. As mentioned, her father ran a Karate group, and her mother worked in an office. School was normal, too. Though picked on by a few people, she was not desperately unhappy, and had a number of friends to spend time with. Very interested in computers, and technology, she looked forward to a career in the computing world.
However, on the fateful day of the accident, when all of the chaos began, her life - along with the rest of the planet's - was turned on its head. Returning from school, she, to her horror, saw the beings hurtling to the ground, smashing all that was in sight - one thing just happening to be her home, where her family were all waiting for her. Like so many of the others in the town, she had lost her entire family in one fell swoop. Joining up with some of the survivors, hiding in the wreckage in the city, she had no choice but to join the army, too, in the hope of winning back all that they could.

Appearance: BUMMMM

Ability: Aiden can create wormholes. Meaning he can open up a hole, jump inside, and pop out somewhere else, as long as it's in his dimension. The holes open up at the size Aiden wishes, and last as long as he is consiouse, or until he closes them. At the moment, Aiden has only been able to open the holes on Earth.

Aiden is also known to have been very skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

Bio: Aiden had a fare childhood. His father was owner of a major cooperation, skilled in manufacturing what Aiden was told, "toys for adults." Aiden's mother was a school teacher at a local college, and his older brother attended the college. He had a little sister, who he took care off since his parents were rarely around. His sister and him grew a strong bond, and Aiden made a promise to not let anyone harm her.

During Aiden's teen years, he made amazing friends, and decided to head out into the woods one night with them. They stumbled upon the thing that would place them under arrest in the US government.

A little while later, they were released, only to find that creatures had invaded their world, and destroyed everyone. Upon arriving home, Aiden found his whole family dead, all but his little sister, who he found was taken into a military base hidden underground.

Aiden was forced to join the army to fight back against the creatures. He vowed to destroy them in order to ensure his sister's future.

Bio: Sakura has been trained in combat ever since she was a little girl. She was trained to use all kind of different weapons, but her favorite was using bow and arrows. Although she did spend time training with the other weapons, she spent most time, training herself to aim well with the bow and arrows. Then, one day, she received her own bow and arrows, which was a gift from her family, that has been used in her family for many generations. Sakura also learned about the use of White magic in her family and how it was handed off to her.

Ever since then, Sakura has been walking through the woods to train herself better at aiming. But, while she was in the woods, she was placed under arrest by the U.S. Government, without letting her know the reason. Then, she heard the soldiers saying how the whole city was wiped out and many people were killed during the crash. Sakura then joined the army to get back at them for her family.

Appearance: Jack is tall around six foot. He has a tan skin and short, spiked, black hair. He has oddly dark green eyes and is missing his left hand. He normally wears black jeans and and a white tank top. In colder weather, he has a black zip up hoddy that he carries with him if needed.
Ability: Puppetry, this allows him to grab items or people with invisible strings and contorl him like a puppet master, he can only control one thing at a time and those with strong wills can break free.
Bio:
Growing up, Jack was never very outgoing.He had a small group of friends and tended to be quiet even around them. This was partially due to the fact that he lost his left hand at a very young age. When he was six, his father came home drunk at got mad at Jack for crying, so he cut his hand off in an attempt to teach him a lesson, and was then put in jail. Jack then grew up with his mom and younger brother. He didn't have any friends untill his teenage years. That was also when he got into puppetry and things along those lines. It was the only time he felt he was truly in control. Then, on that one day in the woods, he was put into captivity, and everything went downhill...

Name: Julian Curtis
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Julian is about 5' 11" and has dirty blonde hair. He is very scrawny looking, but has more than meets the eye. He isn't strong, but has enough strength to get by.
Ability: Julian can break atoms. Focusing on the atom he breaks, he causing a enormous explosion. He can focus this explosion into a narrow beam of energy or break an atom near an enemy in order to cause a horrific blast. He can also control the atoms of other things, causing a shield of energy to form around his body. This shield is breakable through force, but helps to prevent debris from hitting Julian.
Bio: Julian was amongst the group of kids that found the ship. When he found the ship, he was entralled, using his vivid imagination of aliens coming to Earth and giving their intelligence to humans, only to find the ship empty except for one thing. The warning. His isolation from the world led to his harnessing the powers he now has. He made a small explosion from his cell, causing an uproar from within the facility. After apologizing profusely, he learned to control his powers. When they released them, he was ready to give his life away. He hoped that they ones he loved weren't dead, and if they weren't, he was ready and willing to give his life to find them and protect them. If they weren't, he was ready to give the aliens hell.

Bio:Not much is known about Seikay, he grew up a fairly quiet child but he was always a good fighter. He spent alot of time by himself reading and studying the arts of aura control. Aura control is a special ability that gives you a certain amount of control over yourself and other people. He is now 18 years old and has decided to join the army because his powers and abilities would help them out alot.
