Fighting begins soon, yes? I'll wait for your opening post.

Template:

Name: Guida Salem

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Personality: Salem is very quiet, and very rude to anyone that antagonises him. He is friendly with no one, and is even more wicked to his acquantances. He does not repay good deeds (and does none), and gives no favors (and wants none).

Appearance:

Attire: Guida wears a poisoned cowhide vest and leggings that are completely green from the venom and the rotting from plagues and diseases. It is very durable, and stained with a poison that can quickly cling to any attacker, and can also weaken magic spells greatly.

Eye: Green as the polluted sea, and very big.

Hair: Bright red, and as lifeless as a dead puppy.

Height: 7' 2"

Body features: Salem is unnaturally strong, and has the muscles to show for it. His face is stretched and emotionless, and his nose and ears are pointed. His limbs are overly long, because he is quite tall, after all.

Element: The deepest, most venomous poison, and all forms of disease, plagues, and so on.

Weapon: A long bow made of the thickest oak. It is one of the few materials that has no air molecules within it (save one, so it is allowed to move), so it is unbreakable and a good emergency melee weapon. The string is made out of actual catgut, and very durable.

The bow uses arrows also made out of the magical oakwood, and have titanium arrowheads that can quickly kill any unarmored foe. They are coated with the thicket and most foul of poisons, and carry the aura of disease.

Guida often uses the poisons themselves as a weapon, for they can be foul slimes which make good projectiles. They are immune to most magic (except for the strongest kinds), and also hold a plague within them.

Abilities: Guida has many ways of using the power of poison, disease, and death, but these are the most common attacks he uses:

Plague Cloud: Guida spews such a decrepid fume from his body that it engulfs a large area, slowly killing anyone in the vicinity.

Poison Dart: Guida has a few small darts from the same oak wood as his arrows, but they are magically enhanced to cause a disease on impact. It disables the victim the usage of any darkness, light, or energy spells for a short time.

Venomancer: Guida suddenly becomes covered in poison, shooting it out in all directions, enhancing his and allies' attacks with poison, and also becomes stronger and faster. Also while in this form all corpses of fallen allies and enemies become disease ridden zombies that are a shadow of their former selves. They also have poison darts, and can make plague clouds.

Chemicals: Guida can bring forth any amount of poison from his body and use it as a powerful missile. He also absorbs any poison, darkness, or "death" related magic and becomes stronger.

Lethal Weapons: Guida, at will, may use poison to form various shapes, that can harden to make extremely strong and durable material to make a shield or weapon. It can also wrap around objects and immatate the shape of it. Guida, in emergency, can make clones of himself made entirely out of the poisons, which look identical to him, except that they cannot use any of Guida's weapons (unless made of the material), cannot spew the same poison as Guida without using part of itself, and will not be affected if part of it is knocked off. They can shoot out powerful diseases, though, without warning, with the same power as their master.

Famine Gas: Guida's body can transform into a plague cloud, with various sizes, that can move at great speeds in a short amount of time. The cloud is invisible, unlike normal ones, but it can affect people and destroy them with the same effect. But, whiffing in Guida's actual body can be almost instantly lethal, for he can reform in the blink of an eye and destroy almost anything that is in the part he will form in.

The Dead: Because of the poisons and diseases within him, he is capable of losing any part of his body that is not vital to his life. He also takes a long time to be killed by any melee/ranged weapon, for the powers within him ensure that he continues to live.

Location: Earth, in the ruins of Italy.

Biography: Guida was originally known as David. David was originally born on Venus, when the first colonies were formed and attempted to make civilization on the barren wasteland of heat. However, most of the population was killed by several conditions: the extreme heat, the heavy gravity on that planet, the strange creatures found in different areas, lethal diseases formed from passing from the creatures and the devastating heat, and the large amounts of dust. The remainder of the population went underground, to hide from the burning sun that covered the entire surface of Venus.

After three years of surviving within the deep tunnels of Venus, both of David's parents were murdered by cultists (or so it has been told) in the colonies. The exact persecuters were not found, and the subject was dropped. David was sent to the mines, to be trained to make new tunnels and find various ores and minerals found within Venus.

His trainer was abusive, and cruel, and made David work to his maximum. Although it gave him a strong body, it tired him out, and almost killed him. With fifteen years of work, Phil, his trainer, was killed by another group of cultists. Loved and cared for by no one, he slowly found his way back up to the surface, where the strange creatures, that he had heard so much about, took him to their large colony and worked as yet another slave.
Although neither his parents nor anyone else in his colony knew, he has a very great mind capable of extreme mental stamina. The creatures, later known to be known as the Eirien, discovered this, and took him to their sacred temple to study in their ancient art of darkness.

The extreme heat on Venus was almost inhabitable, but they discovered that if they used the power of darkness, the heat would not affect them whatsoever. David was taught by the wisest of them all, and quickly learned many abilities through the darkness. He went back to his original colony to tell them of this great marvel, but they took this as something of a cult and satanic (the majority of the colony was Catholic), and he was shot in the night, and rotted in the open sun.

One year later, exactly, he was born into another body, through the power of darkness. He tried to express his message of darkness again, and he was killed by being stabbed with a knife five times. The cultists, hearing what he had to say, decided to make a new cult, and used the power of darkness to do terrible things. They attempted to summon a great power, and it destroyed Venus' core, which killed everyone living on the planet, and made the entirety of Venus shatter and become simply space debris.

David was born again in the year 2006 in Munich, Germany. His family was very rich, but was involved in a secret mafia that planned to overthrow the government. Although David did not care for life, he thwarted their plans easily and slayed everyone involved. The government never found out, and never would. He was in the country of Sweden, though his exact location was not known. He was born an orphan but easily survived on his own. Finding refuge in an ancient shrine of the forgotten Chinese ninjas Kartwas, he trained with them for a dozen years, perfecting his skills, and they granted them an enchanted weapon, known as Dark Wind: the mightiest nunchucks on Earth. Unbreakable, immune to all spells, and able to be used with darkness. The ultimate weapon of the Kartwas.

He then went to battle a great enemy known as Dunjay. But, because of his underestimating, the great energy destroyed him. David was finally releaved of the darkness, but was still born again (and lost all of his past memories), in Italy, to a rich family of scientists searching for a cure for cancer, the most deadly and widespread disease at the time. Guida came down with prostrate cancer at the age of 16, and when the family learned of it, they immediately set to work to cure him. In three monthes, they had developed a serum designed to completely abolish the cancer. But, what in fact they had made was a deadly poison. It took over Guida, but because of the cancer, it made him stronger. His cancer ended, and he became extremely muscular. He became immune to all ailments and poisons. But, in madness, he murdered his family. He became obsessed with death and wanted everyone to suffer. He managed to make five different diseases that wiped out the entire population of Europe. Death and famine, spread to the globe, until even the very air was a toxic fume. Earth became a wasteland, born of no life.

Guida Salem continues to travel throughout the omniverse, spreading death, until its existance, in fact, is truely deceased.

Good luck with that poison...

Name: Zion Rhapsody
Nickname: “The Beautiful Melody”
Quote: “Never could a song,
Steer one wrong.
So tell me why,
You won’t sing along?”
Age: Zion is the end result of the experiment of The Musician and The Mage, and thus is not subject to age.
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Neutral, but most often sides with the forces of good.
Occupation: Omniversal Bard
Residence: Zion
Theme Song: “Killing Me Softly” – Lauryn Hill

~Family~

Parents: N/A
Siblings: N/A
Married: No
Children: No

~Appearance Basics~

Height: 6’ 3”
Weight: 315 lbs.

Physical Appearance:

~ http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k8...ovandesign.jpg

Similar to the picture above, Zion’s arm is not encased in armor.

His hair is blue and comes just above his eyes, on which he wears small circular sunglasses. His skin tone is a bit tan, and he has broad shoulders. His body is muscular but not large, like a pro soccer player or swimmer.

Garments/Armor:

~ He wears a sky blue sash around his neck, and on his torso he has a navy blue breastplate with matching shoulder armor on his right shoulder. He is wearing a tight white long-sleeved shirt beneath the breastplate, and navy blue gloves on each hand. The gloves have gold caps on the tip of each finger, along with a gold ring around the wrist. Around his waste he wears two gray belts, with white pants beneath those. On his rear end he wears a long off-white cloth that hangs down to about his ankle and is held on by thick gold strips on his hips. He has similar strips on his upper thighs, one on each side. Thinner strips on each of his knees, with two of them on each knee forming an “X” pattern. Below that he has on navy blue boots that are white around the toe. His staff is strapped to his back, the end sticking up just over his left shoulder.

Armaments:

~ Nocturne – The name of his enchanted lute, Nocturne is a beautiful instrument. Made by the best mages on Zion, even the strings of imbued with some magical power. It is said that because of this fact the music that Zion plays is more beautiful than everyone else’s, but that is just a rumor. The mages cast a protective spell on the lute to keep it from getting damaged.

If you don’t know what a lute looks like, here is a picture:

http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k8...ality/Lute.jpg

Zion’s lute navy blue, and has silver lining the edges. The strings are made of pure gold, thinned out and tried and re-tried so that his lute could achieve the best sound possible. The strap is made of several layers of silk, so that it is soft but does not easily break. The wood used to make the lute had some magic before the mages got to it; it is from a magical tree that is native to the lands of Zion.

Fortune – A staff made out of the same wood as the lute, it is approximately six and a half feet in length. Zion knew that his magical rhyme would sometime have to take a back seat, so he had the mages craft him fortune for him. The staff is 3 inches thick, and has a very good spell cast on it from the mages; it was an empowerment spell. Though the staff is made of wood, when it strikes Zion’s foe it feels like the weight of the world has come upon them (which basically means when it hits, it hits HARD). Zion is rather skilled with his staff, being so good that he taught one or two Zionians the art of the staff prior to his leave. The staff also has the protective spell cast on it.

~Personality~

~ Zion is an extremely wise being, and also extremely kind hearted. Some people say that even his personality is musical, as he often throws in rhymes when he is talking. He is very peaceful, and does not participate in pointless violence unless asked. He is very polite, and has a good outlook on life. Although all these qualities may make some view him as a “softy” Zion is far from it. If he is provoked, he will smite the person who did it with a force so terrible not even the gods could contend. It takes a rather lot to push him to this point though, and that is why most people who know him only know his kind side.

~Likes/Dislikes~

~Likes:

- Music in all of its forms
- Peace and tranquility
- Good conversation; waxing poetic about everything from the cost of tea to the secrets of the very Omniverse itself.

~Dislikes:

- Chaotic Situations; loud ugly noises
- The evil at heart; those who abuse their power and kill for fun
- The Cruel

~Skills~

The Magic of Music – Zion uses can use his enchanted lute in concurrence with the power of his very words to utilize magic. All he has to do is sing a line and play it with a tune and the magic he sings of will occur. Example:

“This magic next I play on my lute not my lyre, in a large ball I’ll shoot you some fire.”

Would shoot a large fireball at his opponent. The magic is harder to use than it seems, because if Zion can’t think up the proper rhyme for what he wants to do he can’t do it. If clever enough with his words, Zion can use just about any type of magic there is.

~Biography~

~Creation:

Long ago, in a far corner of the Omniverse, there was a planet. This planet was called Zion. Zion was a beautiful utopia, a virtually perfect world. Everyone was happy there, there were no such things as pain, suffering, and sin. The people of Zion loved music, and were themselves musicians. They would play their stringed, woodwind, and horned instruments all night and day, and their music eventually became the most beautiful music any person has ever heard. They also developed a knack for the magical arts, with great mages rising up on Zion.

One day, one of Zion’s greatest musicians had a thought. The man rushed to the leader of the people of Zion and demanded that he meet with Zion’s greatest Mage. The leader agreed and The Musician and The Mage met and The Musician explained to The Mage his brilliant thought. The Musician had wondered, what if they were to mix magic and music? What would be the result? No one knew. So The Mage conducted an experiment to find out.

The Mage told The Musician to play his lute as beautifully as he knew how, and The Mage would cast spells on the lute as he played. By this time many people had heard of the The Musician and The Mage’s experiment, so a large crowd gathered at the place where the experiment was to take place. So The Musician began to play his most beautiful song, and the mage began to cast his best spells on The Musician’s lute. As the Musician played, smoke began to form in a cloud around the two men. Even through the this, The Musician played. The cloud became thick around the two, so thick that one couldn’t even see his own hand in front of his face. Even through this, The Musician played. The cloud then began to form, seemingly into the form of a man. Even through this, The Musician played. The cloud continued to form, but it took several days. The Musician’s hand began to ache and The Mage's stamina began to slip. Even through this, The Musician played. Finally, after three days of playing and spell casting, the cloud was done forming. The cloud had become a man, or at least it resembled a man. When he finished, the cloud man spoke. He said,

“For bringing me into existence I forever thank you, but in due time sins will overcome you.”

Not heeding the cloud man’s words, The Musician, The Mage, and the people all cried out in joy. They believed they had created a god. Soon came to realize that this god had no name. And so they donned him Rhapsody,

Zion Rhapsody.

~Life:

The Musician and The Mage went down in history as heroes, and Zion was made the god of Zion. Immediately after his creation, the people gathered more musicians and mages and instructed them to make him a magical lute. The musicians and mages contended, and made him the most beautiful instrument in all of Zion. They named it Nocturne, and gave it to Zion who graciously thanked them. Zion played the lute, and the music was absolute perfection; even better than the music of The Musician. But, something about Zion’s music was different. Once he saw a dying tree and sang a song about it being reborn, and immediately afterwards that tree became the most beautiful tree in Zion. This further fueled the people’s belief that Zion was a god, so they all hailed him.

For ages, long after the deaths of The Musician and The Mage, the people praised Zion. He was the wisest person on Zion, and also the most kindly. Even though he was a god, he still walked among the common folk; speaking with them and spending time in each of their homes. Because of his kind heart and beautiful music, the people dubbed him “The Beautiful Melody.” For ages upon age’s life went on as this, the people praised Zion and Zion loved the people. It was a relationship that heightened the perfection of Zion, some even calling it “heaven.”

But all good things must come to an end.

One day, Zion was spending time in a large city on Zion called Tomplet. That cities people were enjoying conversing with Zion and listening to his beautiful music. A neighboring city, Rummet, became jealous of Tomplet and wanted Zion to return to their city. At first, things were handled peacefully. The leader of Rummet sent messengers to the leader of Tomplet telling him to return Zion to their city. The leader of Tomplet refused, and this angered the leader of Rummet. Time and time again the leader of Rummet asked the leader of Tomplet to return Zion, and time and time again the leader of Tomplet refused. One day it was more than the leader of Rummet could take. He sent the mages under him to cast all sorts of nasty curses on Tomplet and it’s people. This infuriated the leader of Tomplet, and he sent his own mages to do the same. Soon enough, curses turn into plagues, plagues turned into killings, and this simple disagreement turned into war. The people forget about their beautiful instruments, and picked up arms with which to fight. This war rattled all of Zion, forcing all of it’s people to choose sides; either Rummet or Tomplet. Zion was very displeased at this.

And so one night, Zion gathered a few of his most loyal mages. He told them to craft him a staff, one that would be useful not only for a walking stick but also in battle. The mages did not understand this, but they did not argue. For seven days they worked on Zion’s staff, making absolutely sure it was as good as they could possibly make it. After the staff was finished, Zion named it Fortune and revealed his plan to the mages. Zion was going to leave this world under cover of night. The people had forgotten the music; the very same music that had brought him into existence, and had instead chose to fight pointless wars. Zion said that he would return once the people realized their mistakes and no longer dreamt of war. He then told the mages not to tell the people, that they must figure this out for themselves. And so with one last look, Zion departed from Zion; the planet that was once called heaven.

Now Zion roams around the Omniverse until the day that he can return to his utopia…

Our battlefield will be in a beautiful garden. Flowers and butterflies are abound; birds and animals live here, feeding on the food of the land. The time is sunset, the big orange sun setting on the horizon.

I'll edit this with an opening post later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I sing you a tale of land far away,
Where a god was created but not long would he stay.
He would leave Zion because of their war,
And because they thought music was now such a bore.
He would not return untill they settled their score,
And thought of the fires of war nevermore..."
Zion Rhapsody was sitting in on a chair made of a flower n the centre of the garden. Enchanted by the power of Zion's music, the flower had grown several times it's original size and becae sturdy enough to sit on. With his lute, Nocturne, in his hands Zion sang a song seemingly about himself and the perils of the people of Zion. Rhapsody missed Zion, but new he could not return untill his people had learned their lesson. Shortly after leaving, Zion had come to a planet near Zion and had found this garden. The garden was a dark place when Zion got there, but after a few songs it became beautiful. The garden reminded Zion of his home, and that is why he stayed there.
Zion also knew of what was to come, the first what he knew were to be many battle on his journeys throughout the endless sea of stars called the omniverse. He was a little sad that his garden was to be destroyed so soon, but he knew he could bring it back once they were finished.
So, I am to do battle with this man, this "Guida Salem." I hope he doesn't mind music.
Zion halted his playing for moment to adjust his circle shades on his face, something h found himself doing somewhat often. The Beautiful Melody was wondering where his opponent was, although he was not impatient. "Patience is a virtue valued in high regard" he had always told his people, and so he would live up to his words. Continuing to play his song, Zion open his eyes to take in this beautiful scenery. "Zion..." he said allowing the words to be swept away in the wind. The light from the sunset in the distance reflected off his shades, making them look a deep orange color. Zion always did love the sunset, and so his people loved the sunset as well. Now closing his eyes once more, Rhapsody began to play his beautiful music. Although totally relaxed, The Beautiful Melody was ready for battle.
So, Death has led me here? To kill a man named Zion, who used pathetic music to start up attacks? Such is all too entertaining and yet provides no difficulty. But, I should not underestimate one such as him.
Guida slowly walked along the garden, taking the time to look at all the exotic and obviously beautiful scenary. Guida had seen far more beautiful in his own time, but this had a certain tone, a certain aura about it. He suspected that Zion was near. Maybe he was the source of the plant growth. He eyed each and every animal in the garden, and they were all equally staring back at him, only in deep, deep fear. They would all die a painful death tonight.
He came upon the very center point of the garden, and encountered a man who seemed to be singing aloud, a hymn or folk song of sorts. Guida had no real interest in music, though almost pitied the fools who wasted their precious life on it. It had no real meaning, only a small amount of time away from thinking about the ever-looming Death. He knew immediately that this man was Zion Rhapsody, and he was prepared to fight Guida, though he seemed weak at first appearance. He had learned that he announced all magical attacks by singing them, which would be very easy to avoid, but it was the staff that could provide trouble. But his great bow and his foe's staff had one thing in common: they were both currently indestructable. So Guida did not worry, for he knew that the battle would soon be over.
"Zion, I presume, and I shall assume for the rest of your short life. My name, if you do not know it, is Guida Salem," He said with a dark but gargling tone, for he was itching to fight, "the one who comes to battle you. Be prepared..."
Suddenly, Guida slammed his fist into the soft earthy soil of the garden, and he shot out his great plagues. They quickly spread throughout the ground, and infected the rooted plants. All of them, including the flowers, trees, and grass, shot out the same plague, only it was now pollenated (which increased its effects) and multiplied. The looming cloud of disease came towards Zion, in all its might, and intended to make him suffer and die. Guida retracted his hand, for all of this had taken a matter of a few small seconds, and he gave out a rare smirk, for this was all too fun for him, ending countless lives.
"for the worst, dear Zion Rhapsody. For that is all that you shall receive."
Zion had seen when his opponent, Guida, had approached him. He had sensed an evil aurua about the man from when he first entered the garden, but Zion paid him no mind. This man was full of rage and malice, two things that Zion disliked.
"You waste your time hating living
and opt for sensless, mindless killing."
As Zion spoke those words the man poisoned his garden, the plants except for the one on which he sat dying in the process. Then something happened that Zion had not expected, all the the plants shot the toxine at him. This was unexpected, but not something that troubled Rhapsody. He allowed the toxine to reach him, adn when it did it did absolutely nothing.
You can't poison music...
Zion said in a soft tone. He then began to sing.
"To life, to life my beatiful garden
restrain this man and give him no pardon."
All of a sudden, the plant life sprang back to life. The beautiful colors of the flowers all returned, as if they had never left. Then out of the ground beneath Guida came four great large roots with sharp needles all along them. The wrapped themselves around the man, his whole body in closed save for his head. Zion knew that that must be quite painful, for those needles were rather sharp. During all of this, The Beautiful Melody had barely moved a muscle. He was still sitting on his flower. Now turnging his gaze directly at Guida, Zion spoke to the man.
"I am interested to see if you get out. The roots of this garden are strong and run deep into the earth, they will not break easily."
And with that, Zion went back to singing his song.
Despite my bickering on chat, really do have a valid reason why that attack did not affect me. The attacks was gas right? Zion doesn't breathe because techniqually he's not alive, at least not in the same sense as you and I are. SO post Blah.
So, despite being created from music and magic, his body is a mere vessel for the soul, like most bodies, yet possesses no respetory system? Or is his body simply illusion?
think of it like if you make a character who is dead, a death god for example. He doesn't need to breathe, yet he is still alive.
