| Obama for Mankind | This is the battle prior to the clan, the one that RC said he wanted over PM. Rules 1.NO GMing 2.NO PPing 3.Five Gramatical Errors per. post Judges 1. Blahmaster 2. 3. My Character: Name: Duncan Zerill II Nickname: “The Youthful Death” Quote: “If life is a roller coaster then death is horse, and I’ve taken it by the reigns.” Age: 284 years Gender: Male Allegiance: Neutral Occupation: Death God Residence: The Cave of the Dead, The Underworld Theme Song: "Giving In" ~ Linkin Park & Adema ~Family~ Parents: Marie, Duncan I – Both Deceased Siblings: Only Child Married: N/A Children: N/A ~Appearance Basics~ Height: 5’11 ½” Weight: 250 lbs. Physical Appearance: ![]() Like this, except minus the sword and his hair is deep crimson. Also, the claw armor on his arm is ebony and instead of that shade of purple for the fabric it is an extremely darker shade. Garments/Armor: ~ Duncan dislikes wearing heavy armor for many reasons. One because it slows him down to a great extent, it’s very hard to achieve true speed and quickness in battle when one is bogged down with 100lbs. of heavy armor. Also because the way he sees it, a true great warrior shouldn’t require armor. For those two reasons he chose to don his current attire, his only armor being that on his left arm. His left arm armor is special and is made of dark matter, which somewhat ties into his magic type. His two long rat-tails are there simply for personal preference; they simply look good to him. Armaments: A death god, initially has several different items to choose from, each with their own unique use. These items are called Sendogu, which translates to “death tool”. They each come in different forms, but all grant the same ability, instant death. However, the affects of a Sendogu only exist within a death god’s allocated area. These are the several forms of Sendogu, some are not listed: 1. Death Note – Whoever’s true name is written in this book while the user pictures their face will simply die in forty seconds, but the user can also determine how the person dies by writing it down. An effective method of extending the period in which you can write how your target dies is to write the cause of death first and then add the name afterward. 2. Amplifier – Much like the death note, the user speaks through this device (which looks like a simple horn) using the targets name and then announcing how they die. 3. Harvester – Also known as a Zanpaku-to some lower death gods, the Edge can be any weapon in existence, but was more commonly used as a sickle for one point in time. Simply, the name of the target does not need to be known, but if they make contact with the weapon then they instantly die. 4. Deal – While not exactly an instant death, the use of a deal, which is fulfilled through a contract, allows the target to gain something of their choosing (though the contents of the deal are entirely up to the death god) but in return the death god is granted possession of the target’s soul. So all the death god needs to do is pass the time until the target dies. Different to collective redemption, a deal allows possession of anyone’s soul, regardless of whether they are good or evil. 5. Gaze – Quite simply, whomever the death god sees through their death god eyes will die. However, it will not work if the death god has one eye closed, or their view is obstructed. Duncan chose the “Harvester” Sendogu, in the form of the classic sickle. Although he has been assigned as a reaper to third-dimension Milky Way, it would very difficult to limit a blade to that area. So his sickle applies in all places of the Omniverse. He heard that one of his counter parts, a death god over the first dimension Milky Way named “Mitsukai,” wields the “Gaze” Sendogu. Fate ![]() His beloved motorcycle, he uses it to transcend to the different dimensions and multiverses of the Omniverse. The bike was given to him by death herself, along with his “Harvester.” When riding through the different planes and such, the wheels glow with an eerily dark light. Death’s Grip – The claws on the end of his arm armor, Death’s Grip is extremely sharp and able to slice through practically any substance in the omniverse. When in use, they glow in a white light. ~Personality~ Duncan is your usual young kid with extreme power. He is extremely cocky, and is never afraid to dive head first into battle. Always wanting to try new and more exciting things, he has done just about everything that gives you rush there is to do. This is in total contrast to his personality in life, when was considered a nerd and a loner and rarely ever spoke openly with people. Perhaps embracing death gave him some sort of boost in confidence? If you ever get the chance to actually strike up a meaningful conversation with him, you would find out that he has very strong views on life, death, and all that lies between. ~Likes/Dislikes~ ~Likes: - Extreme things, anything that gives an adrenaline rush - Witty Banter, A thing he is rather good at. He also likes people who are on par with him in this area. - Battle, he loves to fight and loves strong opponents. A good fight is like poetry to him. ~Dislikes: - People with “holier than thou” attitudes; heroes - “happy-go-lucky” people; immature people with a false sense of reality (e.g. people who think goodness triumphs always, people who think life is always just, etc.) -Old/outdated ways of thinking ~Skills~ Scythe- Duncan is rather good with his scythe. As a matter of fact, to say that he is “rather good” would be the biggest understatement in the history of the Omniverse. He is considered quite possibly to be the greatest warrior ever to wield a scythe; some say his melee scythe skills are on par with that of the great warrior Makyu Eramiss. Dark Mimic – A type of magic so far only mastered by Duncan, Dark Mimic Magic does just as its name implies. When he became a death god he was told about his hidden magical power inside of him. Skeptical of this, he spoke some incantation to transfer all of this “hidden magic” to his armor. It worked but had a side effect; the magic got trapped there. For a while he thought he could no longer control magic, until one day he was to reap a magic user. Finally bringing to fruition something he had been pondering for awhile, he attempted to do a lightning attack. He did complete it but it was not like normal lightning attacks. The lightning seemed dark and twisted, like a dark version of the normal attack. Through experimentation he found that he could do this with all magics, and thus named his form of magic “Dark Mimic.” ~Biography~ ~Birth: Marie Zerill was 16 years old, and pregnant. A direct result of “date rape,” Marie was 6 months into her pregnancy. For the first few months she had tried to conceal this from her parents, but at this stage that was to no avail. Her parents, being the Quakers that they were, were furious at this and disowned Marie. Kicking her out of the house with not much more than the clothes on her back, they went on with their lives as if they had never had a daughter. Forced to go to a homeless shelter, she carried out the rest of her days there. Three more months pasted, and she was ready to bear her child. In the hospital room before she went into labor, the doctor told her of her dire situation. Due to complications, Marie would die if she had her baby. Already loving the boy in her womb more than life itself, she chose to still have her baby. Before she went into labor, she told the doctors what name she chose. For lack of a better name, she chose the name of the baby’s father – Duncan. On December 21, 1981 at 12:38 a.m. she went into labor. Four hours later her child was born. And thus began the story of Duncan Zerill. ~Early Life: As a small child, none of the other children ever liked Duncan. Growing up at an orphanage, he was never picked by a family. It seemed the whole world was against this boy, and Duncan knew it. Often found talking to himself, he became a strange child. Never wanting to wear any other outfit except for his only black one, he was a bit destructive. Always chopping of the heads of the girls’ dolls and smashing the boys’ cars and trucks to pieces, he took out his suppressed anger on the rest of the world. If there was any one thing he always liked to do, it was read. Duncan loved to read, and read better than most other children. Once he reached schooling age, he always read his assigned books in a matter of days, and it became to a point where he was reading novels at the age of 6. And that was the nature of his first years, destruction, solitude, and books. Nothing more. At age thirteen, he found himself being drawn to a specific member of the opposing gender. Her name was Stacy Allen, and she was the girl of his dreams. Although not the prettiest girl, she shared his love for fine literature. They used to both read the same novel, and then discuss the finer points of it the next time they saw each other. This was a good time in Duncan’s life, but all good things must come to an end. One night he used the phone in the orphanage to call Stacy, telling her that he needed some company. Although she protested, she ultimately decided to come. But Stacy never made it to the orphanage. The next day, Duncan found out that Stacy had been shot by a stray drive by bullet while walking to the orphanage. Blaming himself, Duncan wept for an entire day. And that is how Duncan now remembers his teenage years, his first introduction of death. Now eighteen years old, he was too old to live at the orphanage any longer. Forced to live in the homeless shelter where his mother once lived, Duncan tried many a time to get a job, but to no avail. No one would hire him, and this did nothing to boost his self-confidence. He had become obsessed with books about hell and the underworld, pouring over them every chance he got. At any one time he had at least six different demonic symbols on his person, items he stole from people on the street. One day, while walking to the library, a speeding car with a drunk driver came careening around a corner at mind-blowing speeds. Duncan didn’t even had time to move, the car took hit him, cracking his spine and killing him instantly. And thus his death started, a thing he would come to embrace in due time. ~Mid-Life: Of course, Duncan was sent to hell. For being totally oblivious towards Christianity in life, he was sentenced to eternity in torture. And so for the next two hundred years, he was tortured. The kind of things that were done to him over those long two hundred years was absolutely indescribable, and I certainly will not try to write these words on paper. But while he was in the pit, he was unlike other sinners doomed to be there. He kept his conscious mind throughout the whole thing, which probably doubled the pain but was an extremely unusual thing. He saw things with his conscious mind that no human should be subject to, but did not give into insanity. There was something about Duncan that put him aside from most people, something more… And so after two hundred years of suffering, Death gave him a chance to do something that 1 in ever goggle people get to do. Duncan could become a god of death. Tapping into his conscious mind, death gave him the chance, and he graciously accepted. Drawing him from the pit, he chose all of his necessary equipment. Because his case so completely abnormal, death even gave him the motorcycle called “Fate” with which to travel. Duncan loved the idea of his new position; it was exactly what he had read about in all of those books long ago. Taking on a new outlook on life, or death rather, Duncan rode out of the gates of hell to start his occupation. And so it came to pass that Duncan Zerill was a death god, the “Youthful Death.” For the first sixty-six years he remained in his allocated area, reaping the souls of the living; it was only recently that he has decided to travel outwards, and explore what he has been told is called the “Omniverse…” Last edited by Hip-Hop; 12/21/06 at 04:09 AM. |

| Players adapt not survive | OOC: Now let's see what your really made of, D2L and Blahmaster, your the person I want to join me and D2l's clan. Name: Ryu Kenata ~Unified Reaper~ Age: 245 in Bakonda years but is 23 in Earth years. Gender: Male Race: Bakondian Personality: Ryu is a laid-back but, cocky bastard that can't help but, love to fight. He's confident no matter what situation he is in and he never gives up. He's not afraid to fight anyone. His determination and aggresiveness get's him through every situation. Appearance: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...kai/guys49.jpg Bio: still writing it. Weapon(s): The Drakana appearance: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...al-2-sword.jpg The Drakana: This is sword was once used by the great Dracon himself. It's power is beyond most people's wildest dreams. It is said that Dracon destroy an entire planet with just one swing of this mghty sword. The blade of the sword is literally unbreakable. Drakana has a hidden power that Ryu can only unlock in times of need. Legion appearance: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c137/Annikai/f9_2.jpg Legion: This katana has two special abilities. It can send shockwaves towards opponents and it has a hidden untapped power that only works when Ryu has died. It allows Ryu be resurrected by darkness if enough is around and allows Dracon to be resurrected by darkness or, light but, it only works once with Ryu and twice with Dracon since Dracon can be resurrected by two elements. It's blade is of a rare metal that is basically unbreakable. Abilities: Darkness control: Ryu has the ability to control darkness to a very high degree. Ryu can use shadow balls, Dark beams, he can create a dark realm of existence, he can create a dome of darkness, he can go inside shadows and much more. He can also heal himself using darkness but, there has to be alot around or, he can only heal minor wounds. Izaroth, land of pure darkness, can be accessed by Ryu. In Izaroth, Ryu's darkness powers are enhanced dramatically. Dark Matter: He can also control Dark Matter, one of the strongest forms of energy around. There are many things that can be done by using dark matter. Ryu can make a planet implode on itself if there is an abundant source of dark matter in the core of the planet. He can create very powerful spheres of dark matter, beams of dark matter, he can create dark matter clones, and so much more. Ryu can also teleport using the power of dark matter. Light control: This can only be done once Dracon takes control of the body. Dracon can do so many things with the powers of light. He can create weapons, objects, sheilds, barriers, and many different attacks that have to do with light. He can change the very realm of existence to a different realm known only as Asgard, land of holy light. In Asgard, Dracon's light powers are enhanced dramatically. Advanced Reflexes. Soul of Dracon: This transformation takes place when Ryu takes off the bandages on his head and around his abdomen. The seals upon his body begin to glow black and Ryu transforms into Dracon, the Holy reaper. He becomes stronger, faster, and all around better. His powers are pushed beyond their limit and Ryu's body and the Drakana takes a change in appearence. This form uses the power of light. Dracon can use it to his very whim. Soul of Dracon appearence: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c1...ai/guys108.jpg Forged Soul: By working together, Ryu and Dracon become one unholy being. Instead of two users, they both control the body as one. They have heightened senses, and their strength and speed is beyond that of the Soul of Dracon. Their power becomes nearly unstoppable but, the longer they stay in this form, the more strain they put on the body. This form allows them to use darkness, light, and dark matter. Legion takes a different appearence and Ryu's body under goes a drastic change. Forged Soul appearence: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j2...dowWarrior.jpg Death moves: working on them Souls of the Forgotten (Forged Soul): They call upon the souls of the warriors they have killed or fought alongside to aid them. The souls swarm around the opponent, either attacking the opponent or, making the opponent unable to move for limited time. Heavens awakning (Soul of Dracon): The sky above opens up and a bright light from heaven shines upon the enemy and begins to burn him/her. Thirty angels began to fly down from heaven and each one attacks the enemy firecely. Finally A meteor made of pure holy light flies down from the heaven and crushes the enemy. Crush Halo (Soul of Dracon): Dracon puts his hand into the air and a halo made of light takes a solid form above his hand. He then sends it at the opponent and it wraps around him/her. It slowy crushes their body and it can crush as fast or slow as Dracon wants it to. Reaper's Blight (Ryu): Darkness creates a pit under the opponent's feet and they fall in. They then land on a bunch of black skeletons. The darkness covers the skeletons and they become reanimated. They clutch onto the opponent and the Grim Reaper appears in front of the opponent. It points at the opponent and then slashes the opponent three times with his scythe. Illusionary Devastation (Ryu): In order for this Illusion to work, Ryu must make direct contact with opponent's face with a shadow ball. The shadow ball then spreads around the opponent's face and it begins to mess with eyes. The opponent begins to see the deaths of him and his family over and over again. The shadow then leaves after three seconds but, it feels like an eternity to the opponent. This should leave the opponent off balanced and mentally hurt for a while. Extra(s): Ryu has a huge tribal tattoo that is on his chest, right arm, and his back. |

| Obama for Mankind | A challenger. Hopefully a worthy one, my last opponent was a bit... lacking. Duncan Zerill II, a newly appointed God of Death was waiting. Leaning against a cold, stone wall in The Cave of the Dead, he seemed to be in deep thought. The walls of this particular room had faces carved all along them; one for every person Duncan had ever reaped. The room was cold, extremely cold, and thats the way Duncan kept it. Any mortal who somehow entered his room would not be able to stand the cold for very long, as it was below -32 degress farenheight. His chest bobbed up and down, seemeingly because of his breathing. I don't know why I bother to breathe anymore, I really don't need to. I guess old habits die hard. His dark eyes were closed, The blinds shut on the windows to his dark soul. Just to the right of him sat his beloved motorcycle, his tool for omniversal travel, Fate. The bike was shining, and appeared to have just been waxed. The metal was so clean that you could see yourself in it, literally. Souls of the undead floated past Duncan, some of them stopping to stare at the one who had reaped them. One of them stopped right in front of Duncans face, staring at him blankly. Reaching out quickly with his armored left hand, Duncan grabbed the soul and examined it. "The living, so pathetic. Doomed to eventually die and come here, the place they all know as hell. I ask, what's the point of living if you're just going to die? My life was not worth living, and thankfully whatever gods there are took that one from me. But what of those who don't get to "live" death it's fullest, what of them? For all their accomplishments in life, they are damned to hell. What a pathectic thing..." Releasing the soul, it quickly floated away from the man. Folding his arms in front of his chest, he closed his eyes again. Many a time he had found himself in this exact position, pondering one mistery of the universe or another. Despite all of his boasting in battle, when at peace Duncan was a very deep person; that was one the qualities he retained in death. I hope this "Ryu" is good, to keep me waiting this long. If not I may be forced to elongate his stay here.. Listening very carefully, and honing his magical senses, Duncan waited for his opponent. If anything at all entered this room he would be able to sense it, even if it were a fly. Last edited by Hip-Hop; 12/19/06 at 02:41 AM. |

| Players adapt not survive | Ryu stood at the entrance of the Cave of the Dead. His peered into the cave and he knew what awaited him. Ryu would be taking part in another battle but, this time it was against the new God of Death. A man that reaped the souls of others. Being a reaper himself, Ryu had reaped plenty of souls himself. Though the souls Ryu reaped were powerful. A fight against the God of Death would be quite enjoyable for Ryu. He would be able to test his skill against a god. Stepping into the cave, the cold winds blew against Ryu. He did not shiver since he was used to temperatures like this. The souls floated past him and some stopped to watch Ryu. They seemed interested by a man that would dare challenge the God of Death. His opponent became clear as Ryu reached him. Images of having a great fight was running through Ryu's head. He was quite anxious to fight and he kept his hands down by his side. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() ![]() | Hey D-2-L, good to see someone adopted my Omniversal definition of an elite Death God. Just a change though. Death Gods indeed have allocated zones, but their Sendogu works everywhere on the physical plane. The thing is, they rarely leave their zone, but there are exceptions. So depending on who your opponent is, your Harvest Sendogu should kill them instantly if the blade makes contact. The thing is, you're lucky to have chosen the Harvest Sendogu. All Sendogu apart from Harvest and Deal are a form of powerplaying. Of course, they don't work against everyone. Gods of any sort are all exempt, even the lesser Gods, because the Greater Gods are the ones that deal with them, not mere minions of death. And well... you can't kill those who are already dead, or those who have no shell. Just thought you'd like to know. Last edited by JUSTICE; 12/20/06 at 09:56 AM. |

| Obama for Mankind | OOC: Thnx for the info. maybe now people will stop saying I copied you. I didn't copy, I just used the same omniversal definition for a death god. IC: "So you've finally come, I've been waiting." Duncan didn't even flinch as he said the words, he had felt his opponent enter The Cave of the Dead long before he had reached his destination. Duncan was absolutely ready to kill this man, even though they had only just met. He found himself being rather cruel at times; something he was trying to do more often. "As I'm sure you already know I am Duncan Zerill, and you are Ryu Kenata. However, names are not very important in this fight. My goal is one thing and one thing only, your death. I will stop at nothing to accomplish it." Unfolding his arms and extending his right arm out beside him, Duncan materialized his scythe. Still not opening his dark eyes, Duncan lifted his left arm at his opponent and opened his palm. Out of Duncan came several sharp ice crystals, twelve to be exact. Now opening his eyes, Duncan held his scythe in battle ready position. "Let us begin." |
