Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Mitsukai is finally ready to do battle... once again. Zetsumi and I are finally to do battle. Let's see who reigns supreme. Rules I'm sure we both know these... 1. God-Moding = Bad. 2. Powerplaying = Bad. 3. Illiteracy = Bad. I really don't have a specific limit to the mistakes you can make here, but if all your posts just really suck, you'll be disqualified. I mean, it isn't that hard to notice. 4. Continous Spamming = Annoying. No OOC only posts, unless I'm doing them. We can PM each other. 5. Leaving = Annoying. If you leave the battle or neglect to post for an extended period of time, it will count as a TKO and I will gain a win. 6. Conditions of Winning = Because most characters can be reborn, the idea is to kill the opponent, but even if they can come back, they won't, because it'll be classed as a TKO. Battlefield: An endless desert on a planet far far away. A vast expanse of sand, they say mythical creatures dwell underneath its surface, such as the gigantic Suna Leviathans. __________________________________________________ ____________ The White Death. My Character: Name: Mitsukai Title: The White Death Age: 21 Gender: Male Race: Death God Appearance: Despite his new body, Mitsukai has maintained much of his original appearance. Slightly muscular in build, Mitsukai has the body of a rogue rather than a warrior, but the speed granted makes him a powerful martial artist. No longer tanned, his complexion now is actually rather pale, almost bone-white. His mid-length crimson hair is now jet black, and his eyes are dark red instead of vermillion. His lips and fingernails are also black, as if coated in some sort of lipstick or polish, but this isn’t the case. Notwithstanding, he somehow retains his attractiveness, in a sort of gothic way. Battle Attire: Now a death god, it is only natural that he wears their clothing, and death gods usually wear their battle garments on most occasions. A skin-tight suit, black, covers the majority of his body, apart from his hands, shoulders, head and face. Over this he wears his own obsidian armour, which consists of greaves, lower leg and arm guards, plate mail chest and girdle, with silver trimmings. The armour is somewhat resemblant to an outer skeleton, and possesses necrotic symbols such as skulls and serpents. Along his collar is a series of feathers that ruffle out of his plate mail and run down his back. This is the only hint to his hidden wings, which are also black. Sometimes he wears a blindfold or eye patch to cover his eyes, but on most occasions he wears a bleached white mask that looks like the skull of a crow. Formal Attire: Even death gods have formal wear, for special death god occasions, and Mitsukai is no different. (Best image I could find… >.>) Link. Personality: Once rather enthusiastic and egotistical, Mitsukai’s transgression into death, has left him somewhat scarred. Apathy clouds his thoughts, and he no longer has any true goals in life. All he can acquire is power, but for what use? He may now be a slave, but even the idea of freedom doesn’t seem to entice him. Inside, he still fears. His life may no longer be his own, but at least, under Death’s superiority does he have a sense of duty, and a purpose. History: Harbinger of Bereavement? Messenger to the Fallen? Grim Reaper? The White Death. All I am. Despite his now rather despondent existence, Mitsukai once had a life. Unknown at first, Mitsukai was a demi-god, born to a man who bore the powers of reason, otherwise known as Taihumat, and a human mother he would never know. However, it should be taken into account that Yuet, the existence within the blade that gave Taihumat his power, was also Mitsukai’s parent, and the one whom Mitsukai had received his strength. Raw and untapped, it would be a time before he could truly tap into this strength, and eventually create his own. Earth was his dwelling, but he had no one to take care of him. Taihumat had long since departed before he was even aware of a pregnancy, while his mother had died a short while after his birth. Raised in an orphanage for a period of time, it was not very long until he was taken in by a man known as Theodore, or just Theo for short. He was the current mayor of Atheon City, a well-known metropolis, and Mitsukai’s home. Not exactly possessive of a name at the time, Theo named him Vida, and so it stayed his name for a time. He spent the majority of his childhood in Theo’s estate, learning all that he could possibly learn, and growing accordingly. He had an insatiable hunger for knowledge, as if all that Earth could offer him was not enough, something that pleased his adopted father greatly. Vida was a child genius, and not just in academic studies. He knew well that to maintain a healthy mind one had to also be physically healthy, and Vida found particular interest in the martial arts of the eastern continents. His instructor, Lei, who was also Theo’s most trusted bodyguard, saw great potential in the child, and this pleased Theo even more. Out of all the various styles he had mastered, Qigong was his favourite, because of the power it granted. Control of chi, the spiritual energy existent within all living things. Of course, there was much speculation in the scientific world as to whether chi was actually real, but Vida was manipulating it. This was due to the fact that humans had such little chi to begin with, that forcefully extracting it could easily kill them, unless they trained their bodies to maintain higher amounts. Being born of a higher power, Vida was anything but truly human. But his existence on Earth had only lasted twelve years, before his life took a dramatic turn. Theo was growing distant, and with each passing day he was less like himself. It was all too late before Vida suddenly realised, that Theo was under the influence of another being altogether. In his sanity, or lack thereof, he had attempted to kill the child, before stopped and ultimately killed by his bodyguard, Lei. That was when it happened; a dark spirit of untold evil crept out of the corpse of his earthly father and forced itself into Lei’s body. Finally regaining full consciousness from his deep slumber, was when the possessive being revealed himself as Zetsumi, a necromancer, and the self-proclaimed god of death. He spared Vida, but only because he was aware of the boy’s strength, and so he became Zetsumi’s subordinate. Vida served Zetsumi without question, and for some reason, never hated him for what he had done. Now, Vida could finally see a world other than the confines of his mansion, better yet, a world beyond the mere confines of Earth! Presented with the dark bow of Umbryke, which fired arrows of darkness, he became Zetsumi’s back-up, more importantly in the battle between themselves and Ukiah Oregon, the Omniversal God of Dreams. It was during this battle that he achieved a sense of enlightenment, truly questioning the purpose of this engagement, and releasing his chi flow at the same time. Fully grasping the concept of battle, he remained for only a little while, before ultimately departing, and leaving his former master behind. With a new life came a new name, and he now became known as Mitsukai. It was many years later until Mitsukai and Zetsumi met each other once more, and by then Mitsukai had gathered an army of sorts. He had traversed the Omniverse, learning yet again all he could possibly learn, and growing accordingly. Above his expendable slaves were three. “The Tumour” was there name and they were his elite fighting force, who carried out his wishes when called upon. With a twisted sense of right and wrong, Mitsukai had in a way grown to be evil, but this evil was based primarily on personal gain and complete selfishness. Eventually, he was approached by a man with a terrible power, who revealed him self to be his true father, Taihumat. No longer the lustful man he once was, he had come before Mitsukai in the hopes of receiving forgiveness. In exchange for such a thing, Mitsukai wanted Yuet, the blade lodged into his father’s chest. Agreeing to such terms with a slight hint of reluctance, Taihumat drew the blade from within himself in agony as immortality was snatched ever so cruelly from his soul. Hoping to depart with whatever contentment and dignity he still possessed, Taihumat turned to walk away as Mitsukai struck him down from behind, with Yuet held tightly in his grip. “You are forgiven,” were his words, as he brought Yuet into himself, and basked in its power. Long ago, Yuet (presenting herself more commonly as female) had wiped her mind of all memory; in an attempt to escape the endlessness of the Omniverse, but it eventually lead to her developing a new mind, based on the thoughts and opinions of all her previous hosts. Somewhat warped and twisted, she as the God of Reason stepped beyond her station and attempted to repair the Omniverse, realising that reason itself was the reason why so much hate, anger and pandemonium existed within its inhabitants. The only way to save the Omniverse, was to wipe it clean of all thinking existences. Mitsukai was to be her pawn, and with her power took over his body for her own use. It was Jinsei, Mitsukai’s latest and perhaps greatest apprentice that had discovered this, and with Kitsune, Espal and Nagori he tried to free his master from the God’s constraints, before ultimately seeking help from Mitsukai’s old acquaintance, Zetsumi. It was a catastrophic battle, but Mitsukai would only be there for half of it. Jinsei had finally learned how to tap into his unique power, which theoretically allowed him to become almost anything, as he was in all essence a separate Omniverse altogether. His apprentice had come before him in the form of his own thoughts, and as one they attempted to rid Yuet from the inside. Unfortunately, it seemed Yuet could only draw upon more power in the world of thoughts, and realising that it was not just his own life in danger, but potentially the fate of the Omniverse, Mitsukai selflessly forced Jinsei to retain physicality, which in the process destroyed Mitsukai’s body completely, leaving Yuet with no body to fulfil her plans. In the darkness of death, and the depths of space, Mitsukai drifted helplessly, struggling to latch onto something and retain balance, though it seemed he no longer had any need for it. A creature, or a person, clothed in black and other various necrotic things soon made it self known, and with a simple touch sent Mitsukai spiralling into another dimension altogether, Death’s domain. Death, the god, was the complete opposite of Yuet, who presented herself as an archaic being of righteousness, while Death felt no obligation to dress in such a manner, if at all. Dark and beautiful, it was in all essence a physical rendition of something that couldn’t truly be described, but presented itself in such a manner so that Mitsukai could comprehend her existence, while in truth she could be any gender she pleased. Despite his initial thoughts, not every soul that departed into the afterlife was graced with a personal welcoming by Death itself. In fact, the creature that had sent him was not Death, but a mere minion… something that he would soon become. Because he was technically, Yuet’s child, Death held some interest in the young man, not to mention he had once done battle with Ukiah, who seemed to share some sort of relationship with Death. Mitsukai, not fully understanding what she wanted from him, was somewhat surprised when she struck him with a deal. Delirious at the time, Mitsukai in all truth was in no condition to make ant deals. For some strange reason, he had given up his life for the benefit of others, instead of himself. He had performed a good deed, but he had died for it. The deal was simple, he would be granted life once more, under the condition that he became a death god, told that it wouldn’t be fair to just let someone have their life back because they were a demi-god. This was his chance; he could start again, his life anew. He agreed, and as his new body was crafted ever-so-delicately around his very soul, he could not feel life returning to him. So he waited, looking down at his black fingernails and bone-white hands, expecting it to return momentarily, but still nothing. It was then that Death revealed the truth. The body of a shinigami, a death god, a grim reaper, was crafted out of a substance known as dark matter, which possessed such a weak electromagnetic force that light passed straight through it, and there was almost no repulsion between solid substances. He was in all essence a ghost with a body, who could only be seen by other death gods, and those with heightened spiritual senses. Furthermore, death gods worked directly under Death herself, and it was their duty to herd souls like sheep into the afterlife while she attended to more important matters. He was now… her unwitting slave, and she laughed as he waited for anger to well up inside him. But just as that feeling of life would not return, so did he feel no anger. He was… content. Allocated to his home galaxy as a form of mockery, but at the same time an act of kindness on Death’s behalf, he with several other death gods he came to befriend simply drifted from planet to planet, guiding and harvesting souls that tried to escape death’s embrace. Those that were doomed to hell didn’t necessarily have to be sent there, and so Mitsukai became a spiritmancer, who kept the souls of the forsaken close to his heart, for his own personal use. His new life as a death god had begun, everything before hand was just a distant memory, and in all truth… that life was no longer his anymore. Weapon: A death god, initially has several different items to choose from, each with their own unique use. These items are called Sendogu, which translates to “death tool”. They each come in different forms, but all grant the same ability, instant death. However, the affects of a Sendogu only exist within a death god’s allocated area. e.g. Mitsukai can only use his Sendogu on those who were born in the Milky Way. These are the several forms of Sendogu, some are not listed: 1. Death Note – Whoever’s true name is written in this book while the user pictures their face will simply die in forty seconds, but the user can also determine how the person dies by writing it down. An effective method of extending the period in which you can write how your target dies is to write the cause of death first and then add the name afterward. 2. Amplifier – Much like the death note, the user speaks through this device (which looks like a simple horn) using the targets name and then announcing how they die. 3. Harvester – Also known as a Zanpaku-to some lower death gods, the Edge can be any weapon in existence, but was more commonly used as a sickle for one point in time. Simply, the name of the target does not need to be known, but if they make contact with the weapon then they instantly die. 4. Deal – While not exactly an instant death, the use of a deal, which is fulfilled through a contract, allows the target to gain something of their choosing (though the contents of the deal are entirely up to the death god) but in return the death god is granted possession of the target’s soul. So all the death god needs to do is pass the time until the target dies. Different to collective redemption, a deal allows possession of anyone’s soul, regardless of whether they are good or evil. 5. Gaze – Quite simply, whomever the death god sees through their death god eyes will die. However, it will not work if the death god has one eye closed, or their view is obstructed. Mitsukai chose the “Gaze” Sendogu, and usually wears some sort of blindfold or eye patch when not in battle. However, because he already possessed the ability of astral vision, he can look through his mind’s eye rather than opening his death god eyes. Abilities: Power of Word A means of channelling Death’s power, these are ancient invocations that require the uttering of a word; a powerful focus; and a sufficient amount of magic potential, to produce a variety of destructive effects. Depending on the skill of the user, a focus may not be necessary. Illusion Magic Manipulation of the light received through a targets retina to produce faux perception; basically false imagery. Chi Manipulation In all essence, chi is simply another name for soul energy. Chi keeps the living alive, but too much can kill you if your body cannot handle it, thus the body must be trained in its use. Many of Mitsukai’s martial art techniques rely heavily on the use of chi. Mental Prowess Psychic ability, mental manipulation, whatever you want to call it. Mitsukai has honed his mental capabilities through a series of mental exercises; ultimately improving his control over his own chi. This doesn’t mean he is only limited to chi control, as he has developed powerful psychic ability, and can control the world around him with it. Particle Manipulation Combining both chi and mental manipulation, Mitsukai uses chi and his psychic ability to alter molecules, atoms and the particles they are made up of. He finds it easiest to use on himself, allowing him the ability of transmogrification. Collective Redemption Though only some death gods actually use it, it is quite the useful skill for the aspiring spiritmancer. Then again, it isn’t so much an ability as it is a perk, it grants a death god the right to take claim to an evil soul that would otherwise be sent to hell. It’s because evil souls are worthless, and nobody likes them. They can be kept in bottles, gems and other various things. Dangan The user compresses their chi into a solidified form, and fires it at their opponent. Higher levels of the technique can be fired in the form of a wave, and may incinerate or even disintegrate anything in its path with an unbearable heat. Home world: Earth Theme song: My Chemical Romance – Thankyou for the Venom Quote: “I don’t know what I want… anymore.” __________________________________________________ ____________ Last edited by Mitsukai; 12/02/06 at 05:51 AM. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | OOC: Thanks everyone, but you do know this doesn't have to be 1 v 1? Anyone can join whenever they like. As for you DJ, Sure, you can judge. IC: Blackness. Everywhere. Light. Nowhere. Run away, run away... A barren desert, seemingly untouched and baked white by the rays of the sun, existed peacefully as even the winds neglected to disturb it. A strange silence befell the area, though it was quite hard to believe that sound had been there to begin with, and with it a presence could be felt, and then confirmed as two footprints made their marks in the sand. There was an uneasy feeling emanating from the source of the footprints, but at the same time was filled with the release of tension, and the welcoming of relaxation. Mitsukai, staring outward into the empty abyss of darkness, allowed a gentle sigh to escape from within him as he motioned a hand to his face, and gently ran his fingertips along the porcelain surface of his mask, before removing it altogether. Tears ran down his cheeks as the light of the sun pierced his eyes, and his pupils dilated. It hurt. Of course, the light passed straight through the rest of his body, hence the reason why others would have difficulty seeing him. His eyes however, were also his Sendogu, and weren't constructed of dark matter like the rest of his body. Because of this, even if he had his eyes closed, he would still be able to see through his eyelids due the fact that they too were invisible, so the only option was to wear the mask, which was also made of normal matter. The mask, which resembled the skull of a crow, had no holes cut into it at all, because Mitsukai had no desire to see through it. The inside of the mask, was unnaturally black, like a deep void, and whenever Mitsukai looked through it, black was all he could see, despite that light could still pour in from behind. Perhaps the gaze Sendogu had not been Mitsukai's smartest decision, something he constantly thought to himself. Then again, it was Death herself that seemed to empower that Sendogu above all the others, as if she wanted him to choose it, and he did, to please her and him self. However, it had become quite obvious that it was only in her best interest to make him feel miserable, to make his life hell as he worked for her. Of course, he constantly reminded himself that if it hadn't been for her offer, he really would have gone to hell. He was evil, and for his actions he would repent, but at times he wondered which life, or absence of said life, was better. Why did he feel so horrible? Why did he have an obligation to keep his gaze averted from those who resided within the Milky Way, his allocated area, and his first home. In life, Mitsukai would've had no qualms with killing an innocent, but ever since he had come along, things had always been different. What was friendship? Why did it matter so much to him? More now than ever before? He could no longer bare the guilt that came with killing and innocent, and he had killed several hundred on his first day as a death god. No matter where he looked, how hard he tried to close his eyes, he could see perfectly, and each person he saw collapsed instantly, with their souls hanging over their own corpses, oblivious to what had happened. He eventually learned how to make contact with things once again, and that was when he crafted the mask. Now more than ever he had wanted to see his old home, but he couldn't anymore, he couldn't see anything in that galaxy without killing something. That's why he was out here, somewhere very far away from that place, somewhere he could relax. If only for awhile. He would have to return eventually, he was still Death's slave after all, and it was his duty to guide the souls of the departed to the afterlife, at least those who couldn't find it on their own, which was really half of the deceased population. There they were. Someone coming, if more than one person. Mitsukai couldn't exactly care, but it was rather strange and somewhat familiar, whoever it was. He was a death god though, and despite whether or not he could see them, they wouldn't be able to see him, unless they had heightened supernatural senses of some sort. Still, he had originally thought that this place was deserted, apart from the creatures the lurked beneath. It was... somewhat exciting, thinking about who it might be. He was suddenly dragged back into the memories of his previous life. He had enjoyed fighting so much, and he remembered how the excitement welled up within him as he anticipated his opponent's arrival. This was different though, Mitsukai didn't fight anymore, and he wasn't going to... was he? OOC: -sits on head.- |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() | "Have you come for me, Death God?" A robed and cloaked figure stood behind Mitsukai, huched over, his lower jaw, and a few wisps of white hair all that was visible of his face. "Your Mistress...can't seem to leave me alone, can she? This is...the third time. The other two never survived, thus it's safe to assume that you, too, will not." He took a few quick steps fowards, and lent sideways around Mitsukai's body to look up into his face. At once, a gasp escaped his lips, and he stumbled backwards. Memories flooded through his mind...of a boy by the bed of a dying man...and Zetsumi could see both from the eyes of a third observer, and the dying man himself. "You..." he hissed, regaining his footing. For a full minute, he simply stared at Mitsukai, processing this new information. His onetime friend, in a bid to escape hell, had accepted an offer of Death. He'd become a Reaper. Yet, as one proclaiming himself the 'God of Death', Zetsumi was the factional opposite to Death herself...she endowing ordered, premeditated death, and he chaotic, and painful. "So...what happens now, Mitsukai?" he asked, letting a sigh escape: "I'm your Mistress' enemy. As her slave, it's your duty to kill me...and by the way..." he added, noticing that Mitsukai had avoided his gaze for the time being: "Your Sendogu won't work on me. For one thing, I'm not of your bound galaxy, because I'm not of any galaxy, and for another, I'm wreathed in Umbra, which is essentially the same material you are made of now. The others...discovered this the hard way." As he spoke, the skin above his hand rippled, and cracked, extending as if something was inside, forcing it's way out. It grew, taking on a slate-grey colour, until it was almost the length of Zetsumi's arm again, curved, and wickedly sharp. The Monarch found imitating nature to be a rewarding practise...in this case, the forearms of the Preying Mantis had provided the inspiration. The blade waas jointed at the back of the hand, and featured long barbs. "I suppose, my friend, that I'm going to have to release you from Death's service...by destroying the body she's given you. I am...sorry." And with that, he lunged. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Mitsukai tried to ignore him, but he couldn't. Avoiding his gaze for at least a minute, his ears pricked as he heard what Zetsumi, his old mentor and friend, had to say. "Your Sendogu won't work on me." Turning his head ever-so-slowly, Mitsukai hesitated, before finally allowing him self to exchange stares of disbelief with his old friend. Zetsumi, unlike so many others, was one of the few exceptionally skilled beings who could actually see him. See what he had become. Of course, Zetsumi had also changed, to some extent. Who would've thought so many years could have passed by so quickly? Mitsukai was never certain of the approximate amount. 'It was more complicated than that... I didn't have a choice,' Mitsukai explained, in a rather emotionless tone. Liar. Mitsukai motioned to spin around. Who had said that? Had he... said that to him self? Then again, It wasn't so much a voice he had heard, but it rang clearly in his mind. It was of no matter, and something he really had no time to worry about. Hastily he shifted his head to the side as Zetsumi's assault just barely brushed against his cheek. He actually felt it, and he knew why. Zetsumi manipulated dark matter better than anyone else, and could actually strengthen the electro-magnetic force to the extent that it exceeded normal matter capabilities. Then again, Death was more than likely equal in skill, she was a God after all. It had always been Zetsumi's goal to achieve that title. God. 'Hah... it seems that I'm closer to your own goals than you've ever been,' said Mitsukai, in a half-hearted attempt at laughter. It was however, anything but amusing. In fact, Mitsukai had foreseen the arrival of this day. Death had managed to make the task sound so simple, but Mitsukai had never truly thought about it until this very moment. He had to fight Zetsumi, and kill him if possible. He hadn't done so in such a long time... fighting that is, and it seemed martial arts had no use in the reaper profession at all. Though, given the circumstances, he would've been better off with an Edge Sendogu. Others would've had trouble actually touching Zetsumi, but at least Mitsukai would've had a chance. Searching the depths of his ever-present soul, Mitsukai again tapped into it, just at little, but enough to bring back such a familiar feeling. Chi, the soul's hidden power, and Mitsukai's most favoured energy source, was now running through this new body for the first time. It seemed however, that this body really hadn't been constructed all too differently from his old one, he found it possible to manipulate the chi much the same way as he had done before. Of course, it would take a little getting used to again, before he could really take advantage of its power. 'But... I haven't completely changed.' He fixed the mask onto the side of his head, as he continued to fall ever so gracefully to the side, despite the fact that he had already avoided Zetsumi's barbs. With one eye still visible, his youthful face appeared unnaturally depressed, but at the same time disturbingly demonic. Planting both hands onto the sand as he came into contact with the ground, he launched both legs into the air as he spun furiously, directing an armoured heel at Zetsumi's temple. Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() | The kick caught Zetsumi by surprise, and sent him reeling backwards, his nose broken, blood spurting from his face. He hadn't expected Mitsukai to fight back. In all the time the two had known one another, they'd never had a straight-out fight. Not like this. At times, they'd been on opposing factions...but never pitted against one another. As his face healed almost instantly, the Necromancer grimaced. He hadn't wanted to do this, but Mitsukai...couldn't live in his enemy's service. He wouldn't allow it. Extending his clawed arm, he gestured, and the Death-God's body seemed to alter it's composition, becoming smokelike for a second...before it snapped back to it's original form! Mitsukai's body was now composed of Dark Matter! An element Zetsumi reigned supreme over. How was it that he escaped the dissapation that had become of the others? Then, the answer hit him. The only difference between Mitsukai and the others. His Chi. It acted as a framework for his body, holding it together. It appeared, that for the first and last time, he and Mitsukai would fight. One of them died today. The though alone drove a knife of ice through Zetsumi's oft-inpenetrable heart. That he would be the one to send Mitsukai to Hell, to eternal damnation. Still...there were ways to return from such damnation. "You know I never was one for emotional attachments, Mitsukai..." he explained, as a second mantis blade formed from his other hand: "To the contrary, I tend to avoid them. You, however, were a special case. I'm going to be...sad, to have to kill you. There is, however, no other way to resolve this." Without warning, he flickered, and he was atop his former friend and protege, mantis blades scything at him, faster then the eye could see, over and over. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Shifting into a kneeling position, Mitsukai sighed softly as he observed the damage. None really, but he had expected that. He would have to do more than a simple blow to the face to take Zetsumi out. Then suddenly, his body began to writhe for a brief second, before he allowed his chi to realign his body accordingly. So Zetsumi had figured it out then. This was why, he'd have a little more difficulty taking Mitsukai out. Regardless, Zetsumi had already declared himself the victor of this battle, which for some reason didn't serve to annoy Mitsukai, but instead bring upon a feeling of melancholy. Never the less, Mitsukai was not going to hell. That wasn't an option, because he had absolutely no desire whatsoever to be there. Did he? 'There is... one other solution to this problem,' he began, as Zetsumi's counter-attack reigned down from above. 'Your soul.' The world slowed to a near-stop as Mitsukai's reflexes kicked in. Despite this, Zetsumi was still moving remarkably fast, but Mitsukai knew he could move just as speedily. Rolling to the left, and tumbling backward before regaining his footing, he leapt forward into Zetsumi's shower of scythes, twisting mid-air to avoid various stabs and slashes, until the opportune moment came though. There! Lurching upward to avoid a thrust directed at his abdomen, he planted both hands onto Zetsumi's arm, before pushing off the make-do surface and launching himself higher into the air. He was now above Zetsumi, but he wasn't going to bother with another heel bash to the skull. Instead he held his hands firmly together mere inches away from Zetsumi's face, as chi took form in his palms. Then there was a flash. 'Dangan!' OOC: I apologise for my last post, I edited it to fix the grammatical errors. I also apologise if there are any in this post, which was somewhat rushed. |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() | The energy tore through Zetsumi's skull almost instantly. That was the defining element of Dangan, it's speed in firing, and it's almost imperceptability. It was a perfect assasination technique, in short, and assasinate is what it did. Zetsumi's decapitated body collapsed to the ground. A loud clapping sounded from behind Mitsukai suddenly. There, unharmed stood Zetsumi. "I guess you forgot my ability to create Shells, no? Come now, Mitsukai. You know me more then well enough, as I do you. You're far faster then me, thus, there's no way I'd risk a direct attack against you knowing you were prepared to fight back." Chuckling slightly, he allowed the scythe-like blades on his arms to melt back into his skin. High above them, the clouds were torn apart as a floating, black building, a castle, wrapped around in chains, dropped through the atmosthere. A Chapel. Several more dropped through the cloud cover, and at once, corpses began raining down around the two of them, falling from the Chapels to the ground. Each and every one of them was a potential weapon, and shield, for Zetsumi. Instead, he caused the ground beneath him to split open, in a circle, and swallow him whole, dissapeaing as it closed up again behind him. Each and every corpse on the battlefield, and those still raining upon it, followed suit, dissapearing into the ground. In such circumstances, an attack from below would be expected. Thus, the three corpses that suddenly came to life in mid-air and latched themselves around Mitsukai came as a complete surprise. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | 'Heh, it was my intention to be rid of the shell, so that I could move onto you.' He watched from below as Zetsumi's collection of corpses hailed down from the sky, and followed them as they and Zetsumi fell into the earth. His attention fixed, he was caught completely by surprise as three of these corpses latched onto him from behind. He cursed silently to himself for being so careless, and thinking that all of Zetsumi's minions now resided below, where he had expected the next attack. 'Do you think mere physical force can stop me?' he murmured, as he weakened his body's electromagnetic repulsion, and allowed the corpses to fall straight through him. Zetsumi's attacks might be able to connect, but he'd have to tamper his minions a bit if he wanted them to touch Mitsukai. Regaining solidity, he sprang off one of the corpse's backs and arced upward into the air. He blitzed right by the floating citadels until he was well over a mile above them, and with arms outstretched he focused two orbs of chi into his palm. Falling back down to the desert-covered planet below, he began to blur as he spun faster and faster, the light emanating from the chi in his palms trailing behind him in the form of a beautiful spiral. Then suddenly, he released the two orbs mid-way in his descent, and observed attentively as they hurtled down to the earth below, growing larger and larger with each passing second, until they were two gigantic blades of collected energy. They ripped straight though the middle of the planet, and dissipated in the depths of space as the core was revealed, and the two halves slowly began to drift away from one another. But it wasn't over, a series of horrible screams filled the atmosphere, as suddenly hundreds of worm-like creatures erupted from the sands and the various different layers of the planet, leaping from one half to the other, and latching themselves to both ends in the hopes of holding it together. 'You best watch yourself Zetsumi...' Mitsukai whispered, 'the Suna Leviathans are ancient beasts and close relatives of the dragon. You are in their territory now.' |
