| Future Attorney of Life | Yes... I'm not sure if anyone's done this on the Battle Forums before. Technically, this is a battle, just of pokemon. I'm gonna...set some ground rules. If this picks up in popularity (Hopefully not just a bunch of nooblet 12 year-olds (no offense to any decent or intelligent 12'ers out there)) Maybe someone can fine tune the rules I'm using (Yes I am aware there is some sort of league for this like on the Serebii.net forums and such). Hopefully it will become popular and enjoyable. Anyway, yes, this is a pokemon battle. Rule Set: Last Mand Standing -- Team of 6 -- Single Battle (meaning no more than 1 out at a time) -- Show Style (Meaning you can have more than 4 moves, but the pokemon DOES have to have learned it at some time in the past, or learn from a TM or HM) -- All pokemon are at the same lvl. -- For each battle (Technically 6 in all) you can only switch out once -- You can only have a max of 3 Legendaries -- Custom Profile or Trainer Card both will be allowed -- Each Pokemon allowed to hold one item Arena: Classic Battlefield (Like the SSBM Pokemon Field, level, green, nothing special) Anyway, my profile: (Observe the Trainer Card below -- Pokemon are listed in order of appearance (From top left to bottom right) Name of Trainer: Kegan Pokemon Roster: Pokemon: Aruseus Nickname: Armageddon Type: Normal Item: Long Face Plate (When activated turns Aruseus to the Dark Type) Pokemon: Zapdos Nickname: Destruction Type: Electric/Flying Item: Lansat Berry (Raises Critical Hit Ratio When HP is under 1/3) Pokemon: Dotaitos Nickname: Mayhem Type: Grass/Ground Item: Quick Claw (Heightens Speed to attack faster on occassion) Pokemon: Goukazaru Nickname: Carnage Type: Fire/Fighting Item: Sitrus Berry (Heals 30 HP of damage) Pokemon: Enperuto Nickname: Erosion Type: Water/Steel Item: Bright Powder (Decreases the Opponent's accuracy) Pokemon: Giradina Nickname: Chaos Type: Ghost/Dragon Item: Focus Band |

Rep Power: 8 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | FEh...I go on Serebii as well. But the Roleplayers there are sh*t immature kids. So I restrain from doing so. If this picks up on this forum, you can count me in. |

| Future Attorney of Life | No, it's not really pathetic. Theoretically we should be out of cartoons by the time we're teenagers...but I still watch cartoons. Yes, anime is a kind of cartoon. >.> Anyway, I will start the battle soon.. Slight edit to the battleground -- it will change occassionally. |

| Future Attorney of Life | OOC: Hate to double post and all (or do I?) but I said I'd start this battle, so here goes... IC: "Attention all pokemon fans! The match is about to begin!" It was just another normal day at the pokemon stadium here in lower Shin'ou. Many trainers had gathered far and wide from all over the six regions to test their skills and strength against others. It was a wondrous day especially for a certain trainer, whose name was Kegan. He had come from the snowy regions of Shin'ou, where he had trained hard, every day, for the past several years. He rarely ventured out to a stadium, or even the Leagues, to battle and show off his skills. The only traveling he had done was around the six regions to gather his badges. He had lost count of them after twenty-seven or so, but he kept a certain few together in order to show off where he had been. That wasn't the point, and his mind was wandering. He slowly brought his attention back to the large entrance in front of him. He could see plain as day the awaiting battlefield at the center of the arena before him. He stepped through the gateway and onto the grounds. It was as if a bomb went off when he had done so; the crowd went crazy. They were eager to see battles, and he was not going to disappoint them. He looked down at his star team, comfortable in their customized pokeballs, and then ran a hand through his hair as he stepped up to one side of the battlefield, and awaited his opponent. He had heard little about this kid, but had heard that he was more skill than he appeared. This would be a good thing.... It had been so long since Kegan had had a good battle. |

| Megasprawl Meltdown | OOC: Small note, but I made an update to Naetoru's Extra. IC: Lazily, as if waking up from a long sleep, Derek stood up off the bench he had just been sitting on. He stretched, yawning, and his arms dropped. He smiled as he heard the announcer call for attention. He had butterflies in his stomach, as always. He was nervous before every Pokemon Battle; who wouldn't be? He didn't mind being nervous; in fact, he enjoyed the feeling. As Derek walked towards the enterance to the stadium, his mind began to wander. About his previous journies into Shinou and Hoenn. He had been to Kanto for a while, but he left after a while. He could still remember his exact number of badges; to date, he had twenty-one badges. All of Shinou's and Hoenn's, and a few from Kanto. He still had to finish that, and Johto. As he focused back to the task at hand; defeating this trainer, Kegan. Derek had heard about him; he was apparently a great trainer, with great Pokemon. Derek smiled; he was happy to be facing such an... experienced opponent. Even though he was very experienced, he knew that Kegan was above him. Still, Derek intended to win. He didn't have a shred of doubt about his abilites. As he stepped out into the stadium, the crowd roared. He smiled, gave a small wave, and turned his gaze forward. His opponent, Kegan stood before him. He appeared just as his reputation stated; a great trainer. Derek smiled, the butterflies in his stomach even more apparent then they'd ever been. "You are Kegan, I presume? Well, then, good luck." he smiled, and grabbed a Pokeball from his belt. He smiled; he was going to start off simple. His gaze was fixed on Kegan, and his ears awaited the sound of the announcer to tell everyone the match had begun. |

| Future Attorney of Life | Kegan cocked his head to the side as he looked at this kid. He seemed a bit nervous. Then again, usually the younger trainers were. Kegan was an older battler, so he was quite over that whole phase. In any case, he knew that Derek would shape up and gain confidence when the time came. He hoped that he would anyway. Kegan took a moment to gaze down at where his pokeballs were. He had them placed along the sleeves of his jacket. One was at either wrist, then one at either elbow, then one at either shoulder. He smiled as he moved his right hand up to his left elbow. "Battlers! You may begin!" Kegan nodded before he snapped off the pokeball, and tossed it towards the floor. For now, the arena was just normal, as it slowly floated upwards from the ground, with them atop it. It stopped at about fifteen feet off the ground, and floated there. "Carnage! Start this fight out right!" The flaming red custom pokeball popped open as an odd looking monkey, approximately four feet tall, appeared. He stood up straight, revealing he was slightly taller and better built than the average Goukazaru. He also looked quite more ferocious. Fire came from the top of his head, and seemed to trail down to his back. "Carnage, await battle instructions. " Carnage just nodded as he sat down into a lotus-style sitting position, closing his eyes. |

| Megasprawl Meltdown | Derek smiled. He had already pre-picked his Pokemon; even if they were up against a type that was strong against him, he would keep them out. He had more than one trick for each of them. His grin grew, and threw his Pokeball out onto the field. "Here we go, Elekible!" Sparks surronded the Pokeball as an Elekible appeared. It stood at around 5'2, and it appeared to be rather heavy. Sparks flew between it's two conductors. Derek laughed in his head. Elekible was his strongest Pokemon, though not by a lot. He knew that he could fight this Goukazaru; the question was, how strong was it? Elekible stood, watching it's opponent. It awaited Derek's command. Sparks continued to travel between it's conductors. Derek thought about his move for a second, and then pointed towards the Goukazaru, and his smile grew once more. "Elekible, use Thundershock, and follow it up with Thunderpunch!" he shouted. Elekible nodded, and immediatly, a large spark shot from it's conductors. It zigged, zagged, and twisted around, heading straight towards Goukazaru. Elekible began running towards the fiery monkey, trailing behind the bolt of thunder it had set out just moments ago. Derek began to consider his next move. "Let's see what you'll do..." he muttered. OOC: Please forgive the short post... I'm busy >.< |

| Future Attorney of Life | OOC: I don't think the posts will be able to be that long... IC: Kegan watched for a moment as Derek called out his Elekible. He shook his head for a moment before he looked down at Carnage and slowly nodded to the pokemon. It was within that same moment that Goukazaru swiftly swung around on his hands, coming to his feet, and flipped over to the right, out of the way and over the thundershock, which placed Carnage in front of Elekible as he came ever closer with his thunderpunch. Out of all the electric pokemon, it was true that this one was probably one of the strongest. His attack was especially high. That was where his specialty stopped though. His defense and special defense were low, low or lower than Goukazaru. Of course, this all applied to the average Elekible... there was no telling if this one was average. Kegan, with split second thinking, called out to Carnage. "Dodge, up above him, and come down behind him with Earthquake!" Carnage flipped over Elekible's head, but not without catching a little static damage from the punch, causing him to wince as he came up and over the large electric engine creature and came down behind him, pounding into the ground, causing a devastating earthquake. It seemed that the ground split from where his fist hit it. Inside though, Kegan knew he had one other pokemon that could make an earthquake worse than this, far, far worse. |
