Equivilent Exchange

Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving up something in return. To obtain; something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemys first law of equivilent exchange.

All alchemists must abide by this law. But many alchemists tend to forget this law. To cast the law aside for thier own reasons. But Alchemy is a science. A science thats used to understand things. Not to be exploited.

Many alchemists seek the Philosophers Stone, a lengendary amplifier of alchemy. If used, then you can do alchemy without abiding by Equivilent Exchange. It is believed that a whole entire city was wiped out in the construction of the stone. The alchemists that use the stone become like gods. But when you step into Gods territory, all you get is pain and tragedy. In otherwords, he shows you the door to the other side.

~Present~

In Central City, there is people known as State Alchemists. They are ruthless people that would kill someone if ordered to. They are currently in a war with the Ishbalins of the east. They are also fighting against Dante and the Homunculis, a group thats after the Philosophers Stone.

2 years ago, two boys named Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric had stopped the homunculs, only to have Ed die and Al restored to his body. But last year, Ed came back. From where exactly, no one really knows. He won't say. He and his brother are currently missing. The homuculis came back around the same time. Could there be a connection? You decide.

Personality: Very Mysterious. Its hard to tell what kind of a personality she has.
Bio: Kinra had been living in Central with a younger brother named Sammy. Thier parents had died a long time ago, so they were living alone. But one day, Sammy became extremely sick, and he died. So Kinra tried to bring him back. It actually worked, but at the cost of her right arm. Oddly enough, when she brought back her brother, he was only missing his left arm. So he his left arm is automail.
Afterwards, Kinra became a State Alchemist. Her brother is still living with her. But for the last week, hes been acting really weird......

Personality: Axel does things by himself. Even though he may show an ounce of care for others.
Bio: Axel was seperated with his parents at a young age. Years later he began using alchemy. His only notable family member is his brother. The two developed a rivalry in which Axel's arms were burned. He soon became a State Alchemist only to develop his alchemy, to unlock his potenial when using alchemy. He now travels around to find a worthy opponent and become the strongest. Like most he believed that the law of Equivilent Exchange was useless but never attempted to go past it, knowning various consequences to it. Axel only has one goal, to be the best.

Appearance: Linate stands about 5'3, with shoulder-blade length blonde hair that has a gentle curl to it. She has a pair of deep-set green eyes, and her skin is a light shade of tan due to Ishbalin roots. She usually wears a cropped black hoodie, and orange skirt, fishnet stockings, and black tennis shoes. Linate is seldom seen without the pendant her father gave to her on her 7th birthday.

State Title: None

Bio: Linate comes from a long line of nobility that has lived in Central for over 120 years. The only daughter of a State Alchemist and an Ishbalin woman, Linate was raised in a grand Victorian mansion, and was trained in the art of alchemy. At the age of 9, Linate's mother passed away, and her father became very protective of her, pushing and exercising her alchemic skills, and forcing her to train with a different sensei every year to enhance her physical stature. At the age of 15, Linate's father passed away, and Linate, now orphaned, rejected the offer of taking her father's place as a high-ranking State Alchemist. Linate handed over the family mansion to her cousin, and began to run a bakery in Eastern Central.

Bio: Kai's father died when he was 6, then his mother died when he was 10. The only one he had left was his kid bother, Hatsu, and the girl he loved. But one day when Kai was 14 she died. Heartbroken Kai tried to bring her back. He knew the laws of Equivilent Exchange but ignore it to bring the one he loved back. So with his bothers help they bought her back but Kai lost his right arm, which was replaced by crimson colored automail, and his bother lost his body. Then the girl they brought back was a monster. Sadden by all this, Kai put his whole soul into putting his bothers sooul in a suit of armor and getting rid of his love one. Thus turning into his current form. Two years have past and Kai is a State Alchemist. He heard of how Ed had the same problem so he joined the State to find him and find a way to fix his brother and himself. He is currently working with Kinra.

Personality: Zenon is a mostly cheerful person, and usually loud. He is one that laughs a lot, even considering what he has to do.
Bio: Zenon grew up in Central, and at a very early age, he could use Alchemy. He began when he drew a Transmutation Circle from one of his mothers books without realising it was a guide to basic Alchemy. He read the entire book, and what resulted was making a Teddy Bear, and a detailed one at that. After that, his knowledge of Alchemy began to grow. He was even able to make small swords at the age of 10. He decided he would become a State Alchemist, and help everyone.

Yet, as he aged, he changed. He began to stay in his room, and stopped socializing with many people. At 13, he became a State Alchemist, and that tore him from what many people his age were doing normally. Yet, through his best friend, Karina, he began changing back into his normal, cheerful self. He finally changed back into himself, and considered the feelings he had not long ago were just... a phase. Now, at the age of 14, he is loyal to what he is doing(being an Alchemist), and is trying to do his best. He still keeps a few things secret from everyone else... you'll have to find out what.

I think "One Is All And All Is One" is a good saying. :p

His hair is dark red, spiked up, and over, with 2 long bangs over his face. his shirt is a blackslim-fit shirt, with a picture of a red pheonix on it, with a dark blue under-shirt, covering his arms. He has a necklace over his shirt, silver, with the symbol X. His Belt is black with a lion thats embroidered with silver thread. He wears long, baggy, black pants, with silver buttons. he wears regular black boots, fit for running. he also wears black gloves, with the alchemy circle embroidered in red thread on each.
personality: Devin likes to talk, but not about himself, he finds that other people are more interesting. He tries to be upbeat, but fails at it miserably, sometimes making things worse. When trouble comes, youll see him fight for the people that cant, and stand by them till the end.
Bio: living in central for a large portion in his life, he spent many days with the other boys joking around. When he went home however, he was faced by strict parents that would silence him with beatings. One day, him, and his freinds saw alchemy for the first time, by a state alchemist himself, they all agreed to become one, oneday, but Devin didnt know how he would tell his perants. Bracing for a beating, he walked home. Before he got home however, he saw a group of people looking at something in the middle of the street.

He knudged his way through, and there was a gaping hole in the ground, 2 burn marks in the center. Apperently, 2 people had a fight with the same alchemist that showed him the arts. He took a closer look, and by the burn marks was the ring his dad always wore, he knew what it looked like from getting hit by it almost daily. He knew he should have been greiving, or at least feel a bit of sadness, but on the contrary, he was ecstatic. He was free for the first time in his life, to pursue the arts of alchemy to the fullest.

Many years later, Devin has become an accomplished state alchemist, honing his skills with the finding of an ancient black book, that he carried with him all the time.

all that could be read in the book though was "One is All and All is One"

Appearance: Mithos Yggdrasill is a good 5'7. He has extremely long silver spiky hair, that is streaked with white. His eyes have acreepy red tint. He wears a long red silk robe with an eye on the back. His shirt is cut short and stops above his stomach. The pants he wears are white and very baggy, so multiple belts and clasps circle his waist. Blood red boots protect his legs all the way up to his knees. He has dark skin and the alchemy circle in tatooed on his left arm..............then there is that pendant around his neck.

Personality:He gets along with most people just fine, but has his moments. He is very reckless and is always rushing into with disregard for human life. He has a very deep dark and cold heart.

Bio: He has many secrets and has refused to talk with anyone about this past. He passed the the State Alchemy entrance exams with no effort. Higher level alchemists were shocked by the way he went about things in ways thet had never thought possible. This and his dark past got him the tilte of The Enigma Alchemist. after passing the test the only thing he said was that he has become a state alchemist for the past. Mithos has become an even more formidable alchemist since then.
During battles his tactics are merciless. Not only has he mastered 3 arts of figthing, but uses alchemy to shift air currents around his body. This makes him ridiculously fast and even more deadly. The worst part is that for alchemy to work the air must be stable, and everytime Mithos claps he upsets the balance. He searches for the Elric brothers because he believes that they hold answers tha he does not have.
Right before he kills someone Mithos always says "One is All and All is One"

Kinra pulled on her gloves. "I'm off Sammy, Mustangs gonna have my head if I'm late again." Kinra pulled on her blue State Alchemist jacket. Sammy came out from his room. "When are you coming back sis?", he asked. Kinra took his left automail hand into her right automail hand. "Don't worry, I'll be back. We'll go fishing by the river when I get back."

Sammy smiled as he waved by to Kinra as she left. "Bye sis!". Kinra waved back as she ran down the street towards Central Headquarters. She passed by many people that were walking about. Kinra reached the building. Kinra signed in and walked toward Roy Mustangs office.

Ranhon got a letter from Central Headquarters to meet with Roy Mustang so he stopped what he did and headed to Central. Ranhon hasn't been at Central Headquarters in awhile. Ranhon arrived in a few minutes due to the fact that he only lived a few blocks away. Ranhon first signed in and headed towards Mustang's office. When he got there,
he saw Kinra and he greeted her,"Hello Mysterious Aura Alchemist."

Kinra laughed a cold laugh, "How many times do I tell you Ranhon, its Kinra. No need for long winded introductions." The door to Colonial Mustangs office opened. "Enter Aura and Forlorn.", said a voice. Kinra walked in, "Whats the mission Colonial? Anything to do with homunculis?"

Roy Mustang looked up. He had a patch over one of his eyes. "Sorry to cut your enthuiasim Aura, but no. I want you and Forlorn here to go to Resembool. Rumo has it that Fullmetal was spotted back in his hometown. If you find him, bring him and his brother back here to headquarters."

Mithos was still searching for clues on the Elric brothers, but got a call from Roy Mustang, telling him to come to Central for a briefing. He arrived late like usual and hurried to Mustang's office. The door was already open and 2 others were inside he almost immediately recognized one of them....It was Kinra. Mithos had only met her a few times, but they didn't like each other, so he wasn't suprised when she turned to him and said"Oh look who it is The Enigma Alchemist." she said this quickly in digust.
"Sorry I am late Mr. Mustang sir. I heard as I was coming in that we are going to Resembool." Mustang looked up from his desk and started to say something, but Kinra cut him off. "I really don't wanna disappoint you, but You are not coming with us. Only Forlorn and I are going to Resembool." With tha she turned and left with Forlorn. Mustang cleared his throat and sighed" Enigma you will not be going with them. I have another assignment for you. There are reports that a pack of homunculi were spotted yesterday close to Ishbalin territory. I want you to go and check it out."
Mithos did not like this idea. He wanted to find the Elrics and complete his revenge."Sir surely I could be of help going to Resembool. I just think that......."
Mustang didn't want to hear it." If I thought that then you would be going now do as your are told and go!"
Mithos left and tought to himself fuming. This could be one of his only chances to catch up to the Elric brothers. He would have to deal with the consequences later. He set of to follow The Ancient God Alchemist and The Mysterious Aura Alchemist. He was good, but Enigma would have to be careful tracking these 2

Axel tightened his bandages before heading out to Central. The words.
"Late again." went through the alchemist's mind as he headed off. He soon arrived at his destination and headed inside. He then heard voices,"Wonder what's going on." Axel walked into Roy Mustang's office and stood near the door.

Axel asked,"Any mission for me Mustang?" He then noticed Mithos and Ranhon. He then turned away as his hand began to burn,"He's near for sure." He looked back at Mustang,"I;ll be back for my assingment later. Right now there's a special personal matter I have to deal with." He then left the building. Silence came over him as he walked through the area.

He read the entire book, and what resulted was making a Teddy Bear, and a detailed one at that. After that, his knowledge of Alchemy began to grow. He was even able to make small swords at the age of 10. He decided he would become a State Alchemist, and help everyone. Yet, as he aged, he changed. He began to stay in his room, and stopped socializing with many people. At 13, he became a State Alchemist, and that tore him from what many people his age were doing normally. Yet, through his best friend, Karina, he began changing back into his normal, cheerful self. He finally changed back into himself, and considered the feelings he had not long ago were just... a phase. Now, at the age of 14, he is loyal to what he is doing(being an Alchemist), and is trying to do his best. He still keeps a few things secret from everyone else... you'll have to find out what. He has a necklace over his shirt, silver, with the symbol X. His Belt is black with a lion thats embroidered with silver thread. Bio: living in central for a large portion in his life, he spent many days with the other boys joking around. When he went home however, he was faced by strict parents that would silence him with beatings. One day, him, and his freinds saw alchemy for the first time, by a state alchemist himself, they all agreed to become one, oneday, but Devin didnt know how he would tell his perants. Bracing for a beating, he walked home. Before he got home however, he saw a group of people looking at something in the middle of the street. He knudged his way through, and there was a gaping hole in the ground, 2 burn marks in the center. Apperently, 2 people had a fight with the same alchemist that showed him the arts. He took a closer look, and by the burn marks was the ring his dad always wore, he knew what it looked like from getting hit by it almost daily. He knew he should have been greiving, or at least feel a bit of sadness, but on the contrary, he was ecstatic. He was free for the first time in his life, to pursue the arts of alchemy to the fullest. His shirt is cut short and stops above his stomach. The pants he wears are white and very baggy, so multiple belts and clasps circle his waist. Blood red boots protect his legs all the way up to his knees. He has dark skin and the alchemy circle in tatooed on his left arm..............then there is that pendant around his neck. Personality:He gets along with most people just fine, but has his moments. He is very reckless and is always rushing into with disregard for human life. He has a very deep dark and cold heart. Bio: He has many secrets and has refused to talk with anyone about this past. He passed the the State Alchemy entrance exams with no effort. Higher level alchemists were shocked by the way he went about things in ways thet had never thought possible. This and his dark past got him the tilte of The Enigma Alchemist. after passing the test the only thing he said was that he has become a state alchemist for the past. Mithos has become an even more formidable alchemist since then. During battles his tactics are merciless. Not only has he mastered 3 arts of figthing, but uses alchemy to shift air currents around his body. This makes him ridiculously fast and even more deadly. The worst part is that for alchemy to work the air must be stable, and everytime Mithos claps he upsets the balance. He searches for the Elric brothers because he believes that they hold answers tha he does not have. "Bye sis!". Kinra waved back as she ran down the street towards Central Headquarters. She passed by many people that were walking about. Kinra reached the building. Kinra signed in and walked toward Roy Mustangs office.

Ranhon hasn't been at Central Headquarters in awhile. Ranhon arrived in a few minutes due to the fact that he only lived a few blocks away. Ranhon first signed in and headed towards Mustang's office. When he got there, he saw Kinra and he greeted her,"Hello Mysterious Aura Alchemist."

He arrived late like usual and hurried to Mustang's office. The door was already open and 2 others were inside he almost immediately recognized one of them....It was Kinra. Mithos had only met her a few times, but they didn't like each other, so he wasn't suprised when she turned to him and said"Oh look who it is The Enigma Alchemist." she said this quickly in digust. "Sorry I am late Mr. Mustang sir. I heard as I was coming in that we are going to Resembool." Mustang looked up from his desk and started to say something, but Kinra cut him off. "I really don't wanna disappoint you, but You are not coming with us. Only Forlorn and I are going to Resembool." With tha she turned and left with Forlorn. Mustang cleared his throat and sighed" Enigma you will not be going with them. I have another assignment for you. There are reports that a pack of homunculi were spotted yesterday close to Ishbalin territory. I want you to go and check it out." Mithos did not like this idea. He wanted to find the Elrics and complete his revenge."Sir surely I could be of help going to Resembool. I just think that......." Mustang didn't want to hear it." If I thought that then you would be going now do as your are told and go!" Mithos left and tought to himself fuming. This could be one of his only chances to catch up to the Elric brothers. He would have to deal with the consequences later. He set of to follow The Ancient God Alchemist and The Mysterious Aura Alchemist. He was good, but Enigma would have to be careful tracking these 2

He soon arrived at his destination and headed inside. He then heard voices,"Wonder what's going on." Axel walked into Roy Mustang's office and stood near the door. Axel asked,"Any mission for me Mustang?" He then noticed Mithos and Ranhon. He then turned away as his hand began to burn,"He's near for sure." He looked back at Mustang,"I;ll be back for my assingment later. Right now there's a special personal matter I have to deal with." He then left the building. Silence came over him as he walked through the area.

"Sorry I'm late. I'm ready for the mission to find Ed." "Sorry Kai. That's not your mission. You are going to look into some Homucli sightings." Mustang said. Kai had a look of hatered in his eyes.
