+ Storyline

"Togenkyo" -- a world based upon the natural balance of a mixed society. Peaceful times between youkai (demons) and humans sustained for many centuries, the two species were brothers. However, someone or something has broken that balance. Youkai have begun to devour humans, ravage villages, and destroy anything that doesn't share the same blood as them. The Gods in the Heavens above were obviously displeased by the sudden lack of sanity by the demons and sent a few chosen few to rid Shangri La (Another word for Togenkyo, and also means 'Paradise' ) of the problem. They have gathered enough information from Earth to state the terror as the "Minus Wave" which only effects Youkai, turning them into blood-thirsty beasts; however they have enough intelligence as they were when they were still peaceful. The Minus Wave is the after-effects of using Youkai Magic with Human Technology, an obvious Taboo in the world of Togenkyo. A group or organization is behind this horrible deed. However Four Items were made from the Collision -- The Black Dragon's Heart, The Celestial Sword, The Chaotic Time Staff, and The Mana Seed. (Yes, Long names, I know). Whomever possesses all of these artifacts will have the ability to reshape Togenkyo in any image they desire. Four Beings are graced with these items at birth and have a strange determination to head West, where the Source of the Minus Wave is.

You are the chosen few, or perhaps you are not. The Gods have not chosen themselves, only Fate twirls the threads of life and death. You have the choice of going down whatever path you please, your future will be told by the end of the road. Certain Demons have chosen to keep thier sanity by using Power Limiters which are small accessories that are worn to ward off the minus wave; Half-demons are not effected by the wave in any way because of thier human blood but are still treated the same as youkai. Discrimination and even death may sometime lead to the 'taboo' children of human and demon. Thier crimson hair and scarlet eyes are the only things that give away thier blood.

+ The Artifacts


The Black Dragon's Heart: Denonates The Powers Of Darkness and enables the user to summon creatures from beyond other dimensions and control they're every whilm. A being who wishes to strike fear in others and bring chaos to Shangri-La will want this artifact. Picture

The Celestial Sword: A sword forged from the stars above. It has the unique ability to slice through anything and gives the user doubled strength. Someone who desires power will desire this. Picture

The Chaotic Time Staff: Gives the user the power to master Time, slowing it down, and even stopping to certain points. However, being 'Chaotic' this means controlling it's power will be extremely hard and sometimes the staff will not respond to the user's wishes. Certain beings who wish to prove thier will power will want this item. Picture

The Mana Seed: This strange weapon can create anything from it's core, however, this can only be something of plant-like standards. Vines, Mutant Venus Fly Traps, Etc. It also gives the user the ability to use Magic, Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth are summoned from inside the Mana Seed. Great Mages seek this item. Picture

+ Shangri-La's Description

Most of this world is a barren wasteland of desert with only a few places of forest-ground. Villages are scattered far from each other and there is barely enough water thanks to the chaos occuring in the Paradise. Technology is scarce except further in the Western Regions.

A Black Cathedral is placed in the middle of everything -- said to hold the secrets of the ancient Togenkyo and is the origin of the Four Artifacts. The Sea Of Black Sand surrounds this church, creatures of shadow and darkness inhabit those lands and makes the journey to the area a battle of life itself.

Scarlet eyes, burning with immense determination. Perfectly tan skin reflects her slender figure quite well. Hair which matched her eyes added the oddity with a taboo appeal. -- Yes, she was a forbidden child; mixed blood of a human and demon set in her veins. Strange dog-like ears perched themselves upon the female's head, adding more question to what she really was.

Her attire consisted of a simple crimson haori, yet it was much less puffier than the traditional fabrics. -- It let every curve be seen in her upper body parts, undoubtiby adding to her female-like appearance. Instead of the usual hakama pants following through, the Haori was designed at the bottom to flap over her groin. Black latex-like shorts cladded her theighs and stopped just next to the haori flap. A ebony collar presented itself around her neck, a silver pendant hanging idly from the middle region.

Bio: Being a child of Taboo, her childhood was one that not many would enjoy having. From birth right down to her current age, Saiya faced discrimination from humans and demons alike. Neither side would except her, thus making her a solitary creature. About a year ago -- when the 'Minus Wave' started to plague the lands, her father had gone beserk and murdered her mother. Having been abandoned by her only family, Saiya felt that death would be the only option would be an escaping death. Suicide had drove into mind many times, however, she never had enough heart to complete the unearthly task.

One day, she decided to go to her Family Sacred Mountain; there in the shrine, she recieved the Celestial Sword. Her spiritual ancestors beckoned her to save 'Togenkyo' from the chaos that inhabitated the lands. Determined to fill thier needs and her own of revenge, Saiya sped off towards the setting sun. The half-demon felt the need to head there, as if the Celestial Sword was guiding her to the very core of the world's peril.

Personality: Stubborn, Hot-headed, and a temper which could strike fear into anyone -- This hanyou is not someone to toy with; this is all caused from the false sense of security that her past has so wrongily caused her. However, there is a softer side to this creature; oddly enough she is caring and compassonate to those who have entered her circle of friends. Saiya is a born-leader with a head-strong attitude, she will do anything she needs to obtain what she desires; a natural rebel.

Bio: Born long ago during the times of a great peace. He like most members of the dragon youkai his exhistence was based on training to increase his power, and his wisdom to the gain more knowledge. Like most dragons of his tribe he uses his power to gain more, not from greed but for the sake of surpassing one another. To be the greatest of dragons, to become a dragon of heaven. That has been his lifes pursuit for nearly a thousand years. With the coming of the minus wave he was nearly driven mad. A battle that pitted his will against the minus wave lasted for days until he overcame the blood thirst of the minus. Taking a power limited from a lesser demon too maintain his sanity he continued his lifes ambition. He carries the Black Dragons Heart, an artifact of terrible power that he uses rarely. He considers it to be an affront to his own power to rely on the Heart but will use it when the time calls for it. When he realized others may possess items of similar power he set out to find them. Anyone with a weapon as powerful as the Heart would be able to challenge him and that he could now allow.
