Ideas for a new Roleplay

Myself and Abhorsen would like to create a new rp but we have a couple of ideas lined up in our heads. So, we decided to post them here to decide what would be most interesting to everyone.

So here they are:

Spoiler: Quest of the Starborn

A world void of strife, void of war. Peace reigns supreme. King Jericho has held the throne for the past forty five years. With his birthday slowly approaching he wishes to pass the crown, to appoint a new king. The word of a new king was spread across the kingdom and beyond. Men, Woman and children flocked to the castle to see if they were "Starborn". The rarest birthright known on Planet Vex. Months went by, yet no Starborn was found.

With the king's birthday just two weeks away, the king was about to lose hope. Until a man named Tyex came to the castle asking only for bread for his family. King Jericho gave much more than he had asked for and before he left asked if he would try the crown and see if he was the Starborn. Tyex smiled humbly and agreed. King Jericho placed the crown upon his head as was custom to discover whether or not someone was Starborn. The crown glowed gold, blinding all who stood in the king's court. When their vision returned King Jericho exuberantly rejoiced and declared that upon his birthday a party would be thrown.

Two weeks later King Jericho sits at the head of the feast table preparing to make a speech. The room hushed awaiting their king's words. Before King Jericho could pass one word from his lips a rogue Metalborn shot a shard of metal from across the room and through the King's skull, killing him instantly. Because of this no heir can be made to the throne. Regardless of Tyex's Starborn blood without the king's seal Tyex cannot awaken his birthright.

50 years pass

Tyex, now in his early seventies, sits on the throne doing his best to rule the kingdom that once was. One day a man by the name of Vock approaches the castle gate wishing to talk to the king. The king is told of the man's request and grants it. Upon entering the castle chambers Vock explains to Tyex that although his time never came there is still hope for him to pass the rite of Starborn to another...

Spoiler: Power Rangers: Lunar Legends

It all began when a meteor hit the earth, landing in a local abandoned construction site in a city, exploding and leaving behind a chest in its wake. This chest was found by two teenagers, cousins on their way home from seeing a popular movie that just came out not too long ago and decided to cut through the site because they were running late, curfew was nearly upon them. The more rash and excitable of the two opens the chest and inside are six crystals. Excitable grabs the crystal that matches his favorite color and examines it while the more level headed one waits to see if it has any adverse effects on his cousin before examining his own. After a moment the sky suddenly explodes into action, several spaceships appearing out of nowhere and fighting it out before the teen’s very eyes. The cousins take cover as the smallest ship is shot down, pocketing their gems and hiding. Out of the ship comes a beautiful pink haired woman, obviously injured. The crystals flash and excitable runs out of his hiding place to see if he can somehow help her. The other ships land and large blonde man steps out, surrounded by guards. He demands the chest and tells the excitable teen to get out of the way or die. The boy refuses and his cousin steps up to ask who he is and what he wants.

The man introduces himself as King Alistair, leader of the Cold Empire. (most people simply call him King Cold) and he says that those crystals in the chest hold an unspeakable power and that his empire need them in order to establish a firm control over the eastern galaxy. The pink haired woman speaks up and tells of Alistair’s horrific deeds, telling of how he rose to power by abandoning a trusted comrade in their hour of greatest need and then stole the throne from its rightful owner while the rest of his homeworld battled a legendary dark creature that threatened the world’s stability. How he ruled with an iron, cruel fist and that this world was the first one he needed to conquer in order to achieve his goals. Another man bursts out of the small spaceship and throws the two teens strange looking wrist devices, telling them to insert their crystals. The boys do so and are transformed into what the pink haired woman dubs as...

Power Rangers.

Alistair is fought back and over time the rest of the crystals are one by one given to their rightful owners. Now a team of rangers stands proud to defend earth and the worlds around it from King Cold, his minions and anything else he decides to throw at them...

We have other ideas and would be willing to collaborate later on if neither of these ideas takes off.

I'm a big kid at heart, so I'd have to go with Power Rangers.

I'd be happy to join either or both, but I guess the Starborn one sounds like the more appealing of the two, to me, at least.
