| Banned | [ Before reading on, please note that this is not a Role-Play, but a Role-Play BATTLE, and will be taking place in its appropriate section. ] Brought to you by Purple Feather and Jack London… Rumble A sailing schooner made its way toward a dock at sunset; its damaged sails could easily be seen. Most of the ship was damaged, leaving behind fragments of itself behind every now and then. Dark clouds loomed overhead several miles away, signifying the fact that the ship had just survived a storm and was in need for repairs. The vessel’s name was cryptically written along the side—the Ghost. After the vessel had been securely docked, two men exited the ship, one easily seen as larger than the other man was. “There should be plenty of supplies in town, Hump,” The larger man said as he tightened the rope that was attached to the ship, with his powerful arms. “I trust that you will bring some back by sundown. I’d go with you, but this place has been known for its thieves and I do not intend to lose this ship,” he continued, his gray eyes still focused on the rope. The one apparently called ‘Hump,’ gazed at him for several moments, thinking the situation through. They were the only two left after the storm, making it the perfect opportunity for him to escape. The larger man was known to be a terrible man, one who treats his crew like nothing more than slaves and who rules like a tyrant. He was vicious and death was the punishment in most situations. Although he had treated him particularly well compared to the rest, Hump still had no intention to stay, with a more comfortable life elsewhere. “And what if I choose not to return, Wolf?” Hump asked bravely, wanting to hear his reply. The wolf stopped in his movements and slowly turned his head, his gray eyes narrowed, and a grin slowly appearing upon his face. “I know these lands better than you do, Hump,” Wolf Larsen replied, turning his entire body around to face him. “If you try something like that with me, I will hunt you down and I will find you and perhaps kill you,” he explained, wrapping his hands around his feeble throat, with no real pressure, but simply demonstrating. “I promise.” After letting go, the two stared at each other for several more moments before Hump turned on his heel and began to make his way into town. “I’ll be back by sundown, sir,” he said, without turning around. “That’s my boy…” The captain then turned and climbed the rope up onto the Ghost, laying down upon the wooden ship and watching the sun go down. Several things were on his mind and they began to spiral within it as he was mesmerized by the sun’s orange glow. Soon enough, he relaxed and fell asleep, only intending to take a short nap. I have got the supplies captain… …and pigs were flying. The wolf’s eyes shot open immediately graced with the presence of the moon, which was almost full, but not quite. A snarl resonated from him as he quickly got up and looked around for Hump. He knew not how long he had dozed off, but it didn’t appear as though he had even come back, since there had been absolutely no trace of him. Fury in his eyes, Larsen leaped off the ship and landed upon the dock, stumbling slightly upon his landing, but regaining his footing quickly. He ran into the sleeping town and looked for any sign of his dreaded mate, but to no avail. Coming to an alley way, he looked in, seeing a dark figure standing toward the end of it. With a cynical grin, he began to slowly walk in, having him cornered. “Take another step, wolf, and you can consider yourself dead,” an unfamiliar voice resonated from the figure once he was about two yards away from it. Although the voice was deep, it could still be deciphered as a female. Larsen slowed to a stop, not so much out of the order of doing so, but for the fact that it wasn’t who he thought it was and that this being knew of his identity. The figure took several steps forward, into the moonlight, revealing herself. She appeared of Japanese origin, wearing a plain black kimono and a pair of sandals. Her facial structure was very mature, but attractive nonetheless, with high cheek bones, dark blue eyes, and a single purple feather hanging from each of her ear lobes. “You have my apologies for startling you, lass, I have mistaken you for somebody else. I am looking for a man that was here not too long ago, seeking supplies for our damaged schooner, would you happen to have—“ Wolf Larsen began, cutting himself off as he had took notice to her ears. As his gray eyes narrowed, his mind began to race. There had been stories circulating about the return of a mass murderer known as the Purple Feather. However, only one confirmed murder had been committed since then. He was slightly confused at the sight of her attire, having usually been told that she was always kept well cloaked and with a white Chinese mask upon her face. “Well, well, well, apparently I’ve mistaken you again for a fair lass.” “So, this is Captain Wolf Larsen… I expected you to be a tad bit more…intimidating than this,” The Purple Feather commented. “I can say the same to you, but if you want me to be intimidating, just ask, milady,” Larsen replied. “I’m overdue for another kill, and I’ve decided to settle for you, but I don’t think you alone will suffice-- perhaps you and your entire crew, Wolfy?” Larsen ignored the mocking tone, “Unfortunately, my entire crew had been killed during the storm, and the last one just escaped. In fact, I had better get back to tracking him. I would love to spend time with you, but I simply haven’t the time.” “Sorry, I believe you misunderstand,” Purple Feather said to him just as he was about to turn around to depart. “You haven’t a choice. The Ghost is loaded with gunpowder, ready to blow. If you agree to my terms, I will spare the ship. If not, it will be reduced to nothing more than firewood, and you’ll have nowhere else to go.” The wolf’s eyes sparkled in the moonlight as he smirked, and then began to chuckle mockingly for a moment, “I do not believe you.” The murderer immediately turned around and unleashed a terrifying screech that simply shattered the silence. Although unmoved, Larsen knew he was not going to like the outcome. A moment after the screech had been unleashed, a louder explosion erupted in the distance, not too far away, and they both were very well aware of where it had came from. The wolf looked up to see the smoke quickly rising, as small explosions were heard, apparently chain reactions from the primary one. Larsen assumed that she had already gathered followers to aid her in her murders, just like in the past. “Is there significance behind the colored feather?” Wolf asked, quite randomly. “You have exactly a week to gather a new crew and to face me and my followers. I will inform you of the location soon enough.” The Purple Feather replied, ignoring the question. The wolf began his mocking laughter again, as he began to power walk toward the murderer, “Why not settle this here and now? I promise you, I’ll be more than you can handle,” he said to her, with a cynical grin, quickly lifting his fists and taking a swing at the twisted woman. However, the murderer only smile and leaped toward the side of the building beside them, her feet landing squarely on it and leaping again to the side of the building on the other side, repeating until she was on top of it. “You must be at the location by the stroke of midnight. Until then, farewell, Wolf.” “And what if I choose not to appear?” Wolf Larsen asked, looking up at her, her body outlined by the moonlight, giving her a bluish aura. “I know these lands better than you do, Wolfy. If you try that with me, I will hunt you down and I will find you and I will kill you,” Purple Feather replied, about to turn to depart, but then turned back to look at him. “I promise.” The wolf grinned his cynical grin, looking forward to killing her. He could not help but notice a slight similarity between him and her, but the meaning behind killing were definitely different. She apparently did it for fun, but he did it because it was necessary. However, of all the stories he had heard of this murderer, he had always considered her on par with him in terms of power. He had always awaited the day to settle it and finally decide who was stronger; who was the bigger bit of the ferment. Unlike Hump, he did not intend to run as he hinted he would. Upon the murderer’s departure, the wind carried a single purple feather, which began to descend upon the wolf’s position. Larsen grabbed it gently and looked at it, knowing that it was her signature for every murder scene. It was always dropped upon the corpse of the victim. “Ah!” Wolf Larsen called out, “but I’m not dead!” The gust of the wind was the reply. Larsen placed the feather in his back pocket, walking out of the alley way and looking to view the wreckage of the Ghost. And now for a crew… In a Nutshell: In short, the mass murderer known as Purple Feather seeks to begin another spree of murders and intends to start with Wolf Larsen and his crew. The problem is, he lacks the crew due to a storm he had just managed to survive. However, due to Larsen’s reputation of a cruel captain, he may need more than a week to obtain the crew. Instead, he sets pup advertisements all over the place stating that he seeks help to take down the mass murderer and is aware of her location. The name of this murderer is known all ‘round, so information upon her location alone is money in your character’s pocket. For years, the head of the murderer has been wanted for plenty of rewards. Your character is either on Larsen’s side, who intends to kill the murderer for whatever reason, or on Purple Feather’s side, who either enjoys to murder as much as she does or had been forcibly pulled into her ranks…. Or whatever you can think of, these are just suggestions. Rules: 1) First and foremost, this battle will be hand to hand combat. No weapons, magic, or inhuman abilities are allowed. Your characters must be completely human. 2) Templates are not mandatory. You are simply to post here to choose which side you plan to fight on and to confirm your participation. 3) We want this to be as realistic as possible. If you get hit squarely on the nose, your character is going to bleed =< 4) ALL OOC related material goes in this thread only. There should be absolutely no OOC material within the main thread. 5) Although we want the participants to be active, we do not want machine gun posting either. The maximum amount of times you can post in one day is two. Anymore than that and it will be disregarded. The post order will consist of one person from one team, followed by a person from the other. Please keep this in mind when about to make a post. If two people from the same team post consecutively, the second poster will be disregarded. 6) Please be literate. Two well structured paragraphs per post will suffice. 7) London and I reserve the right to give you the boot whenever we see fit. ( Hopefully, it will never come to that. ) 8) All traditional RP and RP Battle section rules apply. Please know them if you intend to participate. 9) I apologize if I sound a tad strict, but we want this to be fun as well. Anybody is welcomed to join, whether you are new to the concept or a veteran, just so long as you abide to the rules. It would truly be great if this inspires members to the concept. We hope to get a full house. 10) Not really a rule, but London just wanted me to add that all ideas having to do with the character, Wolf Larsen, aren’t originally his. It is a canon character and credit goes to the author of The Sea-Wolf. Poor guy, I think he feels a tad guilty xD. Team Feather: 1) Purple Feather as Jane ( The Purple Feather ) 2) Shadows Fall 3) Wasilis 4) anbu2 5) ? 6) ? Team London: 1) Jack London as ( Captain ) Wolf Larsen 2) MasterofTerraOblivion 3) Lunar Rain 4) ? 5) ? 6) ? Confirmed Participants, without a team: 1) [strike]Lunar Rain[/strike] 2) Elegant Esthetics 3) [strike]Shadows Fall[/strike] 4) [strike]MasterofTerraOblivion[/strike] 5) [strike]Wasilis[/strike] I hope i didn't miss anything... If anyone still has any questions just PM either me or Jack London. And, Happy Fourth of July everyone ^.^ EDIT: Main IC thread will be HERE and will be opened once we feel we are ready. | Made a Grown Man Cry. Epic | lol, didn't notice the pattern up there. Quick question to either Jack or Purple, but what if we don't have the full 6-on-6 battle? Do we continue with it just with the teams as it is or no? |
