Plot

Alchemy refers to both an early form of the investigation of nature and an early philosophical and spiritual discipline, both combining elements of chemistry, metallurgy, physics, medicine, astrology, semiotics, mysticism, spiritualism, and art all as parts of one greater force. An Alchemist is an individual identified as having attained a specific level of knowledge, skill, or aptitude in doctrines related to alchemy.

Several eons ago humans, alchemists and other beings were leaving together peacefully. But after hundred years passed, a war broke out. Adepts and "normal humans" with other beings fought each other in a war lasted for hundred years. The alchemists found their abilities wavering against the massive quantity of human beings, and most of them were killed. A century later, the war rages on. Alchemists are still seen as heathens, and heavy bounties are rewarded to anyone who brings back an alchemist - either dead or alive.

Rules

1) Don't make characters who are really strong

Appearance: Jackson is 5'9" with long black and red hair, he has a skinny face that brings out his blood red eyes. His hair often coves his face, he wears black pants, a black shirt and a red cloak. He has a long scar down the side of his neck. He is never found without his sword. Has a smooth voice, despite his violent language.

Jackson has a very pale complexion, despite his countless hours outside. He speaks with rage, but his eyes show how sad he really is. He has a constant sad look on his face. He seems older then he actually is because of his sadness. Often carries a book with him

Abilities: Can talk to birds.

Weapon: a plain steel sword.

Other: Orphaned at a young age he was taken in by a master alchemist, and has trained with him since then. Is called "The Red Raven" by all except his master. He is a pessimist an perfectionist by nature.

Due to his element being of darkness, Sleif has many numerous abilities he can use, by using the dense energy from the shadows.
These are some of his known abilities.

Darkness Wave: Condensing the energy around his blade, Sleif is able to launch this energy at targets, with intense speeds. If in a completely darkened area, these attacks can be used much easier and quicker, then in a lit area. Though, even if he is in a lit area, this attack, as well as his others, can still be used.

Wall of Shadows: Similar to using Darkness Wave, Sleif uses the shadows and darkness, condensing it greatly around him to form a powerful shield. This move increases in strength, and lasts longer, the more darkness there is.

Dark Multiply: Using shadows, Sleif can call upon copies of himself, which can each use certain attacks, like him. Some of these attacks include, Darkness Wave, and Wall of Shadows. When used with little shadow, these clones simply look like outlines of Sleif, though when used in complete darkness, the clones become exact copies of him, in both mind and body, making it almost impossible to tell one from the other.

Other moves would consist of, traveling through shadows and darkness, summoning dark tendrils to attack enemies and firing orbs of condensed darkness at enemies.

Weapon: An extremely long black bladed sword

Other: Sleif has some sort of a split personality. At times he is calm and collective in what he says, and what he does. Though at times, he can change quite quickly, to a more enraged and unpredictable nature.

Seru has the appearance of a partial specter. For the most part the body is non existent. Seru appears to be nothing more than a floating suit of upper armor. there are no legs or anything below the area that is where it's knees should be........

Starting at the head, Seru's face is covered by a helmet like mask that is hardened with a material that appears to be like both bone, rock, and also energy all at once. The long black hair flows down to the base of the Seru's neck, and at the top of the head is parted so the horns are able to stick up with their curve and not be covered by hair from the head.

The makeup of the armor reflects the entire body itself. There is an obvious skeleton motif being used for structure, but there are quite a few traditional Chinese elements being used, such as with the shoulders and how they stack upon each other. The large black spikes on each side of the shoulders, and then again on the sides of the shoulders are sharp and can be used as weapons to ram into players with if needed, but they also set off the strong arms of the armor.

Like the rest of the shell like body that Seru has, the arms are made up of a solid, yet energy based substance of bone that taper down into skeletal fingers that are sharpened like claws.

The entire armor of Seru is symbolic. Upon close inspection you can see that there is a skeletal monster's face placed on the armor itself. It is augmented in the middle. The eyes are the most noticeable aspect, as these are the gleaming blue jewels lined with yellow underneath on the chest. The rib-cage near the lower area is the face's top set of teeth. The pelvis is the lower jaw, and the ab sash and flap of the armor is representation of the tongue. Though not always present, or completely visible to other players, Seru has a set of shifting spectral wings.......

On a broad range Seru has possesses psionic power which it draws from hyperspace, the source of the primordial physical, and thus also spiritual energies which form the fundamental forces of places that exist in the planes that envelop the "verse", but also extend further breaking mere worldly boundaries to the realm that it comes from.

It has displayed telepathic, telekinetic, and energy and matter manipulation abilities, that can be broken down into many sub genres of power, but for simpler terms as what has been witnessed so far is described below, also when using its powers, the "eyes" glow in some manner, or other.

Seru's' energy manipulation powers allow it to manipulate energy fields and sources. This is most often used to produce and control the powers of strong concussive force, generated heat and matter of the plasmatic nature, along with light, as well as warp or disable existing energy sources, survive in the vacuum of space, and fly, with potential to physically control the fundamental forces in extraterrestrial space, and on planets; though it has shown control of the electromagnetic force and that of magnetism far better than any other power, even though its potential is more than enormous.

By generating multi-leveled magnetic fields, Seru is able to manipulate and thus control ferrous metal substances with no effort. These fields can be controlled with great skill to move and otherwise transform and alter objects composed of ferrous metal, even if they weigh many thousands of tons. It often generates a hyper sensitive magnetic force field to protect itself, but can also expand this field to protect other people and physical objects that are around it. This force field can withstand the vacuum of deep space.

Seru is capable of personal levitation and sustained flight at high speeds with this power, and has also demonstrated the manipulation to produce electrical energy, as well as focused electromagnetic energy in radiated form and other forms of the same type force on an extremely powerful scale. Although it can theoretically use this power at a molecular, atomic, and extreme subatomic levels, Seru has not been seen going that far, as there have been rumors about something not allowing Seru to do so. The amalgam of the powers it ultimately possess are scary at best, but added on to the above abilities, Seru also uses its telekinetic powers often, and these can be explained from what has been witnessed.

By using telekinesis, Seru can manipulate matter down to the atomic level. It can channel its telekinesis to create force fields and fire concussive psionic force blasts that have a wide range of destruction, or a low level of a mere blast for stunning purposes. There have been rumors about Seru's telekinetic powers, such as it completely destroying an island off the coast of Rovia, which now is no longer on the map, not to mention putting up a barrier that withstood the odd atmospheric pressure of the area, with no ill effects. Telekinetic fine-motor control allowed it to alter molecular valences and warp residual forces and other powers to generate psychic manifestations in psychometry forms. The most horrific witnessing of this power was when Seru levitated the sister chain of Gri'ari Islands, and disposed of them by creating a micro-black hole......

Weapons:
This sword is the embodiment of corruption focused into that of a weapon. The energy that formulates it is a fermented dark power from all of the souls that it has eaten and added to its being over those foolish enough to believe they could control its hunger, only to be driven insane and soul drained themselves. The blade is compact, appearing to be made out of amber, with a large animate eye.

This blade does not need to be held to attack with, and there is a light violet aura surrounding the sword. In usage, this sword harbors intense physical power, and can slice right through even some of the strongest physical and spiritual matter. The souls that were stolen affect the power of the weapon, and when injured by the blade, opponents will find their soul broken after some time, becoming afflicted with a corruption process. The blade also can fire arcs of corrupted energy that cause gravitational effects. The blade has more innate powers, but they are unknown.

The energy it houses is condensed in a sense of all of the good soul energy that has been absorbed and focused into the blade from numerous great warriors from ages. The blade itself looks like a cross between floating metal fragments, that are fused together with that of soul energy. The blade has a tremendously jagged edge on it, and near the handle there is a bit of an arc of fragmented soul energy that houses an orb with massive pure soul energy inside it.

This blade does not need to be actually held by the user to cause damage, and though not visible, there is a field of energy that acts as a secondary blade when used. By using this weapon, a user can cut through materials with ease, as the blade has massive energies imbued inside it. The souls that it was built upon were pure enough that when an opponent is hit by the blade, if their soul is not drained, their bodily energies flow into the user, replenishing them. The blade also can fire concentrated streams of purified energy that cause explosions. The blade has more innate powers, but they are unknown.

Abilities:

Molecular Motion – Allows him to dissipate his molecular structure, move it, and then reform it without causing any damage to his body. However, he can only move one mile. Any further and his structure would break apart.

Density modification – the ability to change the density of objects, ranging from making them steel hard or transparent. He often does this in a battle when he’s hurling objects at people. In the situation where he must defend against an attack, he’ll harden a large object and hide behind it, or in some cases, he’ll harden himself. The same can be done with lowering the density. However, making himself transparent is only useful for running away. It isn’t a lot less costly than levitation either. Take note that the only human he is able to do this on is himself.

Matter Modification – he is able to melt solids and freeze liquids. The least costly of his powers, partly because they don’t have much use in battle. Take note that this doesn’t work on living things and a few certain objects, such as those associated with Mana and Myst.

Weapon: Sky Remnant – Has many abilities, including serving as a way to channel Kerravar’s energy. It can also pose deadly in a clash of metal, and its blade is extremely sturdy and sharp and is able to slice through most physical things.

Name: Myk McDough

Gender: Male

Appearance: Myk stands at 6'4'', his body has average proportions, but his muscles have been toned through his career as a Chesspiece. His black hair is cut short and swept back. His face and chin are clean shaven of any mustache or beard, as he believes a man of his authority needs to look as sharp as possible.

Attire: Myk's Platemail armor is mostly black in color. His round pauldrons add size and bulk to his appearance, as well as the bulked up shinguards and boots. While this may hamper his running ability slightly, he never worries about it. (When one has the word, they need not merely run after their foe haplessly.)

The armor has a green/emerald trim to it, the elegant designs disguising the fury that this man can wield. On Official occasions he wears an emerald cape with a golden motif at the corners.


*At his left is the tome of all Crime. Each criminal that falls before Myk's control of the word is entered into this book. The book's leathery surface is black, with his name etched on it with golden letters. Each page has a specific grouping of crimes, and on one of the hundreds of pages, there is an empty space specifically for the man's own son, who he wants to bring in himself.

Personality: Myk is a man who loves his work. He loves the law, and is never more content than when he is at his desk filing paperwork. This devotion to the law cost him his wife, and even caused him to banish his son when he was no older than six years old.
He is an ardent worker, always being a stickler for the rules, except when the criminal subject's crimes have surpassed even his definition of 'the line.' He is fairly irritable, even more so when he is dragged from his office to deal with a pathetic situation.
He's slightly opinionated, and rarely is there a right answer when he asks questions, however, should one trump him in an argument he will bow out and accept the facts.

Weapon: At his right hip is the Mighty hammer 'Law Seeker. This heavy metal weapon is designed for one handed-use, but it has an extended grip to allow two handed swings should the need arise for more power.

"The Word is the basis of a Enforcer's power.
It is found imbued within their weapons, their armor.
It is the entitlement of the Arbiters to maintain the
connection between the Word and the World..."


The Word is the metaphysical manifestation of the Enforcers,the factions doctrine on how the world is run. Arbiters specialize in control of this force, and study new ways to bring the Word into our reality. To use the Word, the applicant must be able to speak - no Commands (the "spells" offered by use of the Word) are non-verbal. The applicant must also have signed the Ledger - the great tome containing the names of every Enforcer ever to enter the faction, from the original Myk (whose name, like each of the other individual leaders of the faction, is kept secret) to the current new line of applicants - the 11th Generation. Having one's name written in this inscrutable book registers one's presence as a Enforcer within the sight of the Faction. Below are some Commands - the best-known and most used of their kind.

Word of Holding:
Holding: Upon the Enforcer's word, a wrongdoer is stopped in their tracks, and held in position until the Enforcer chooses to stop concentrating on the Word of Holding.
Paralysis: This level of the Word allows a Enforcer to Hold a criminal for a period of time, or until he chooses to dismiss the power. The Enforcer need not concentrate, and can Hold a maximum of 3 people at this level.
Stasis: At the pinnacle of this edge of the Word, the Enforcer can instantly freeze a group of up to 10 people, or 5 people if he chooses not to concentrate on the Word.

Level 1: Leg paralysis only.
Level 2: Paralysis of the arms and legs. Movement is prohibited.
Level 3: Whole body Paralysis. Though the person can still think, they cannot speak, blink, or move their eyes, arms, or legs.

Word of Silence:
Silence: The Enforcer's Command temporarily mutes a criminal, and can deafen them if the Enforcer so wishes.
Deprivation: This level of Silence gives a Enforcer the power to block the speech and hearing of multiple felons, disorienting them.
Denial: Here, the Enforcer may cause an entire city block to lose their hearing or use of their tongue, or half that radius to lose both. This Command needs a Writ to be used.

Word of Blinding:
Blinding: When a Enforcer speaks the Word of Blinding, a criminal is stripped of their sense of balance and their sight, stopping them in their tracks and allowing the Enforcer to apprehend them.
Ignorance: This Command allows Enforcer's to wipe the sight of up to 10 criminals, or to completely remove the balance of 5.
Deadening: When a Enforcer is trained to the utmost standard of Blinding, he may permanently remove a perpetrator's sight, or visually deprave an entire city block.

Word of Healing:
Healing: The Enforcer's Command can revive the just, close minor wounds and heal other such injuries.
Doctoring: Many Enforcer's who know this Command use it in tandem with other skills to save patients from the clutches of death - the Enforcer may purge a righteous individual of illness, heal them of serious wounds and bring people out of unconsciousness and comas.
Restoration: This tier of the Word of Healing allows Enforcer to utterly overwrite any injury, grievous or not, and to mend broken bones and cleanse the skin of marks brought about by illness and such.

Word of Pain:
Pain: A very carefully guarded Command, the Word of Pain allows a Enforcer to spread a wave of non-lasting agony throughout the criminal's body.
Crippling: With this Command, a Enforcer may target specific areas in a Criminal's body to cause extreme pain, possibly hindering the lasting effectiveness of that limb or organ.
Crucifixion: Only the High Arbiters and Myk himself are aware of this Command - with it, the Chess piece can kill a criminal, or permanently disable him.

Word of Voice:
Voice: This Command increases the volume of a Enforcer's voice, used in crowd control circumstances or other similar occasions.
Projection: The Enforcer can further increase the range and volume of their speech.
Amplification: The Enforcer's voice may be heard across a city or over other large areas, such is the level of amplification here.

Word of Revelation:
Revelation: The Word of Revelation allows a Enforcer to use the Word to bring a criminal to admitting their crimes, or can apply this Command on innocents to have them reveal information. This Command is reserved for the use of the Adjudicators alone.
Truth: With this extreme Command, a Chess piece may turn a righteous civilian into a criminal in the eyes of the faction, and therefore apply negative uses of the Word to innocents.
Purity: At this level, the Enforcer can cause any individual to admit to any crime, whether they committed it or not. He can wrench the darkest secrets of a criminal from their depths, and so this Command is carefully restricted within the ranks of the Enforcer's

Word of Restriction:
Restriction: The Enforcer can call the Word onto an object - an item or weapon, for example - and the object will be restricted for use only by the just.
Empower: The Enforcer, with this Command, may both restrict an item and cause it to call down another manifestation of the Word (Blinding, Silence or Healing) upon a target.
Enchanting: The may permanently embellish an object, so that any criminal to touch it will be rendered unconscious, and it will create a Command upon its target. (These Commands are restricted to Doctoring, Pain, Ignorance and Deprivation, as long as the Enforcer knows these beforehand).
