Ivalice [Canon] [Sign Ups/OOC Thread]

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Ivalice

Long ago, the land of Ivalice was full of prosperous clans. These clans focused their time on searching for hidden treasure, flying around in their airships. The clans also participated in numerous battles against each other, fighting for supremacy. These battles were recorded in history as the
Clan Wars.
However, not all clans were out for just the glory of victory. Many clans existed under corrupt authority, killing other clans in order to take their treasures. These clans became more and more numerous, known under the common name of
Corrupt Clans.

Eventually, the
Judges of Ivalice
were formed in order to maintain the constant corruption of Clans in Ivalice. Laws were formed and carried out by the Judges, preventing clans from killing each other in battle. The laws continued to become more strict over time, even limiting the allowed actions in the Clan Wars. Clan battles were more restrictive than ever. However, the Judges actions were justified as Corrupt Clans become more scarce as the laws became stronger.

This was not enough to keep Clans from killing, unfortunately. Corrupt Clans formed areas hidden from the Judges, called
Jagds.
These areas were completely free from laws, allowing Corrupt Clans to continue carrying out their evil ways of battle. Nothing could be done about the Jagds, as powerful Anti-Law magic prevented the Judges from interfering with the areas.

As well as the Jadgs, other, safer methods of avoiding the laws were formed over time. Cards called
Anti-Law Cards
could cancel out any restricted actions in normal battles. However, these cards were not strong enough to allow the killing of other Clans. The Judges were able to prevent a
Pro-Killing Law Card
from ever being created.

But one day, without the Judges knowledge, a Pro-Killing Law Card was created by a Nu Mou known as Ezel Berbier, a renowned Anti-Law Card creator. The Pro-Killing Law Card was deemed by some Clans as a treasure beyond all treasures, but by most Clans as a curse on Ivalice. If put into the wrong hands, the Pro-Killing Law Card would allow supreme rule over Ivalice. However, the Pro-Killing Law Card was not something easy to obtain. Hidden somewhere in Ivalice, the location of the Card was known only by Ezel Berbier.

And so the search for the Pro-Killing Card was sparked. A search for deviation, greed, and power.

Description: Mogsama looks like a... well, a moogle. His height is about... a foot and a 1/2, weighing only about 50 pounds. His fur shines with a white gleam. His wings are a bright shade of red, as is the bon-bon connected to his head. He wears the blue robes and large, yellow hat of a Black Mage.

Description: Lizard-like with a long face, scaley skin, and tough limbs. He has red skin. He doesn't wear a shirt, but grey pants. He wears a necklace around his thick neck.


Intro: Aitan was on an airship that was flying from Bhujerba to Rabanastre, when he heard a passerby call him a Lizard. This was a very racist term to describe Bangaas, and one should know better, afterall they are the strongest race in the land of Ivalice, but Aitan controlled himself. He was on his way to Rabanastre for business reasons, he was running an errand for a moogle in Bhujerba, in exchange for 5000 gil, which would go straight to his clan's fundings, well most of it anyway. He had to deliver a box to a man in Rabanastre. He didn't know any details of the contents of the box, nor the name of the man. All he knew was that he would be waiting for him at the South Gate, and that he was a Hume.

And I noticed there was no section of the temp for jobs. Can't have a good FF without jobs.

It's just Ivalice. Whatever Ivalice you want. They all have most things in common, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue which Ivalice it is.

Intro: Elgoom stepped out of the pug, tilting his hat to block the sun from his eyes. He placed his hand on his gun, making sure it was still there. He had lost his guns before, and he didn't want to do it again. The small town of Rabanastre stood in front of him. He was heading to the South Gate, making sure a member from his clan, Aitan, had arrived to deliver a package to some guy. Elgoom had no clue what was in the package, for he hadn't been the one to give it to Aitan, but he had been asked to make sure it had arrived. He headed for the South Gate.

Uh, actually it is an issue friend.

They have differant geographies, differant cities, differant histories, and differant races

Also, the one you described is the FFTA one. Ezel is only in FFTA world (as far as I know, but I'm quite certain there is no Ezel in FFXII).

Oh, and will we have ranks within clans as well? There should also be a limit on clans, considering each member could make their own clan (which would defeat the purpose of clans )

I suppose you're right. We'll go with the FFTA one, for Ezel's sake. You can make up town names though, don't bother being exact.

As for the clans, let's limit it to 4 clans. Therefore, only two more people can create a clan. Everyone else must join one already created. Once we get 4 clans, I'll make the post to start the role play.

Intro: Noah signed as he stared at all paper work that now littered his desk, "No one told me being a Judge would require so much desk work", he sighed heavily as he laid the documents down, pushed his chair back from the desk and stood up. He stretched, giving his legs a wake up call as he walked over to the large window behind his desk. He looked down onto Rabanastre, watching the people go about their daily busy. He smiled, "I think a nice trip into town will do me some good", he said as he turned and grabbed his sword. One always had to be careful in such towns as Rabanastre. He departed the Government building and started walking through the city, keep his sword in its scabbard on the right side of his waist. Today was gonna a nice day by the looks of thing. Nothing looked like it was gonna go wrong today.

You should prolly put the clan names on your 1st post, for convieninance.

Ignoring that, you're going to have a boring charecter dude. Your posts will include comments on our fighting, annoyance at the goverment you work for (for w/e reason), and how hot it is.

May i make a suggestion? Can we integrate the two FFs into this RP, meaning we'll have all the cities from FFTA and FFXII....Just in their own individual empires. Rabanastre and Bhujerba are in the Dalmascan empire. Ezel could exist in Mt. Bur Osmace for all we know. I think that'd be best for the RP
