"What does all of this mean? These things are widely known as myths, made up stories from the very heart of the imagination. But what if was all true? What if these things appeared in our modern day lives without any warning? How would our lives be affected? Could man make the right choice in using these? Would it lead to great benefit? Or perhaps would it lead to greed and selfishness?"


That was what Professor Patrick Evans asked at his lectures many years ago. But now there is something sinister happening in the background. Across the world, these five very things are happening. Advanced technology has suddenly been found, people are emerging with supernatural powers, parallel universes are making signs of appearing, ancient magic has been demonstrated and time travel has very well become possible. But Professor Evans died a mere two years ago. If these five things, or let alone one of them, fall into the wrong hands, then perhaps the fate of the world is doomed.

The world is changing itself in the year 2008. The rift, as it is described, is occurring. Several ordinary individuals are about to find themselves colliding with one or more of these things. They scattered across the world. They could change the fate of humanity. They could control the destiny of the universe itself. But their morality is unclear. Will they use these five special gifts for doing some good? Or will their inner and dark desires emerge? Only time can tell ...


The whole thing just suddenly came to me as a random plot set in a Role Playing format. I haven't done an original Role Play for a long time, so let's see how this one turns out.

Name: Dawn Turner

Gender: Female

Personality: Your ordinary everyday kind of teenage girl. She worries about how she looks, when her school work has to be handed in ... but then she can appear to go deeper. Dawn isn't really prejudice and treats everyone the same when she first meets them. She bears a kind heart and some sense of courage.

Bio: Dawn Turner has the life that any ordinary girl has. She has two loving parents that get along and love her. She's an only child, so it means that their attention goes towards her when it's needed. She was always quite a bright student at school and still remains to be. Never falling into the wrong crowd either, Dawn's life only started getting complicated when she started hearing about Professor Patrick Evans. Very intrigued by his lectures of change in the world, she tried to seek him out when she was only 13. Unfortunately, Dawn never found him and learned he had died shortly before she tracked him down. Despite this, she gave up on finding out the reason behind his lectures, although she couldn't help, but feel that his death always seemed so mysterious and had unknown causes.

Two years later, Dawn is about to realise that she won't be able to escape Professor Evans and his lectures so easily. Now she's seeing signs all around her indicating that things are about to change, that a rift will affect the world. Considering herself too young for this, she will try to walk away from this and pretend that these things aren't happening. But everyone knows these things are happening ... it seems as though the shadow of Professor Evans lingers on and his warnings of the rift are finally coming. Dawn doesn't want to be involved in anything and wants nothing more than a less troubled life. However, things will not be so simple. She is about to be one of the few people in the world to have their lives changed by this rift.

Personality: Sleif has a split personality. For most of the time, he is calm and collective in how he acts and accomplishes tasks. But at random, his mood can completely change to a more insane and unpredictable nature.

Nationality: European appearance, but is originally Japanese.

Appearance: Sleif stands at 7', with light tanned skin, shoulder length pure silver hair, and red
piercing eyes. He wears a full body length black trench coat, and a single black spiked glove on his
right hand.

Bio: Sleif has been alone, since he was incredibly young. From an early age, he had to always take care of himself. Spending most of his life, Sleif quickly learned to defend himself. During the first appearances of the rift, Sleif was unfortunately within the area. Somehow he survived, and has never spoken about it since. Although something clearly changed him.

For now, the characters will be plain human.

When we're underway with the RP, powers can slowly develop. I'd really prefer it with none of the characters actually being BORN with them. They just acquire them along the way, you don't have to have one either to be in the RP itself.

Can my character be from another universe, or come in from advance technology? for example _______ wakes up from advance technology that has crashed to earth some time ago, but _____ has woke up, so _____ has amnesia and slowly remebers things which include having abilities or what not?

I'd rather have him from a parallel universe, yes. Having him bump into our universe would be good as well. Let your character acquire abilities, as he goes along like the others.

ok, since you would rather have the character from a paralled universe, it will take awhile for me to make a template, cause i can't think of anything for the moment. But i do have something for the advance technology crash character.

Personality: Taylor is outspoken, and never afraid to tell people whats really on her mind. She can be stubborn, but she means well. She can be narcississtic at times, but she wants to try and change this.
Nationality: english/ italian
Appearance: She has evenly tan skin, very slender and tall. Her hair wavy is golden brown with streaks of honey blonde, and her bangs are swept to the right. Her eyes are a deep hazel. She wears a fitted, white and green striped tank top with a short white hoodie. Her jeans are dark and faded, with torn fringe on the bottom.
Bio: Taylor is an only child, spoiled by her parents and step parents. She wears expensive, name brand clothes, she has a sports car to drive, and her own laptop. She is popular at her school, but she is also one of the smartest kids too. She was intrigued by the work of Dr. Evans, but when he died, she gave up on following his studies. When the world started its "rift" she hoped she would be left alone, but she was wrong.

Bio: Stavros is a student in Tokyo, Japan. Well, he was, until a Rift opened in the basement of his school. It was considered unsafe, and the school was closed down, and thus he is now out of school.
