The music in the game is, I guess, to make the setting more modern and such. :d Not quite sure, but it's there to establish a setting of some sort. I'm not sure if it has a role in the game other than that, BUT IF IT DOES THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME. D: We can make it have a role in the RP, if you want, thoughhh. Like the theme songs and battle themes of the characters? That, or we can just find kewl songs off of Youtube that sound like they're from the game [like techno songs or hip-hop] and make those battle themes or themes for different places in Shibuya.

So, I'm not an RP guy, but the title of this thread stuck out with me and I was like "lol TWEWY RP before the game comes out, they may need help D="

So anyway, my friend owns a private game retailer, so I actually got the English copy of the game around the 14th. So, you know, I can assist you guys with some background information about The Game, the rules of The Reapers, The Players, all kinds of stuff to assist in some ideas for your RP, and to help your Characters feel a bit more Canon

Non-spoiler of course, but if there's something about TWEWY that you don't quite know about because you haven't played, but would help the RP, I can answer some questions and elaborate on some details that are foggy now because the game hasn't officially been released yet.

ummm, suppose my character in the rp doesnt find a partner, because some other person took my partner, what will happen?

Partners aren't really "assigned" to you, so if the Partner you wanted was "taken", then you simply find another one. You can go through "The Game" without a Partner, it is simply much much harder, a Player without a Partner is like a delicious meal to the Noise, they will specifically go out of their way to find and hunt you down, becuase they can sense weakness. You can live through The Game without your Partner, you'd probably have to take artistic liberties and say "Oh an my character has mental strength to persevere without a Partner", but really...you should really have one =\ I would think that within the context of the RP it'd be more fun to be working together with someone anyway

Whereas when you have a Partner, the Noise tend to avoid direct conflict with you, unless you provoke their territory, or a Reaper summons them to attack you, because naturally they fear the power of 2 Players together. I should also mention that when 2 Players become Partners, they have to do a Spiritual Pact which links their minds and souls, essentially, to one another. From there, each other's strength becomes shared, but they are also tied to the location of their Partners, they can't leave each others presence without experience mental stress, and the Noise will be attracted to a stray player.

After a Mission Day ends, Players always fall into a sort of unconscious sleep until the next day (in terms of the RP, you could take some liberties with this and choose to not do it), and after the sleep at the Dawn of the New Day, all Players are separated from one another and wake up in separate parts of Shibuya, except for you and your Partner who always sleep and awake with each other.

I have a question, if you don't mind answering. 8D; What exactly do the lower-ranked Reapers do in the game? I know they're outside more than the other guys, but I'm not sure if they just survey everything and mess around with the players' heads.

OHOH annnnnnnd... Rena's gonna be working on a contest entry for a bit. KAGE GETS ARTWORK YAY :D So, I'll be back in a biiiiit. That, or I won't be posting nearly as much. I'll go post right now, though. ^^;
