hey i have a few questions:

1. how do u make the bg of a pic transparent or w/e?

2.how do u put in scanlines and borders?

3. how do u shrink the pics u wanna use?

1.) I'm not sure what you mean, if you want to get rid of the background and have the stock only show up, then use the pen tool. if you want to make the whole pic more transparent, lower the opacity.

2.) borders = you can grab the rectangular marquee box, and draw a box around the siggie, (make sure it's on a seperate layer). then right-click and go to "stroke". the higher the pixel number, the thicker the border.

you could also use an inner/outer glow in blending options.

scanlines = brushes...you need a scanline brush. just look around for them and download it.

3.) go to free transform mode...right-click and go to "free transform" or press Ctrl + T. you can edit the pic ^.^

I am not the best at making sigs, I need step by step insturctions on how to create backgrounds. Sometimes, I make a good one on my own. I was wondering, do you know of any good tutorials other than good-tutorials.com or pixel 2 life?

hey Eclipse u should maybe make ur own tut since ur a good sig maker and i would luv to know how u make those those kinds of bgs u had in ur past sigs like ur pikachu sig and and 1 question:
where can i find grunge brushes?

Ok, im TOTALLY a n00b when it comes to Graphics but i would love to know how to make them. So , i would like to know if there were any FREE Photoshop sites that i can download so i cant make my own sigs? Thx.

You can download a Photoshop 30 day trial from www.adobe.com

Or try the GIMP a program similar to Photoshop that is legally free (Google search)

There are of course *cough* other ways to obtain PS...
