Default GIMP/ Vista Question
I'm kind of unsure on where to put this, so move it if it is wrong.


Alright, so I got a new PC, with Vist Home Premium, and I loaded GIMP on it; I saved all the brushes that I have ever downloaded on a Flash Drive.

The majority of the brushes are a Zip Files, and when I try to put them in my Brushes folder they go in fine, but they don't come up in GIMP. The way I used to do it in XP was open the Zip File and take all the brushes and put them in the file. Well on vista when I try to open the Zip File, it says that I need Win Zip, in order to open the file.

Is there anyway around this? Or do I just need to start finding brushes that are in .RAR format of files? .RAR Files have been the only type of brush files that I can get to come up in the GIMP program. Please help if possible.

Umm.... If it says you need Winzip, get Winzip?

Get Winrar for free bro and extract that way.

Oh, right, I forgot winrar
I would have said that but the zip-rar thing got me confused XD
Winrar is pretty good, I use it myself

you right click a zipped file and select 'Extract Files...' and it will have a pop up asking where to extract it to
I've had to do the whole XP to Vista thing awhile ago so I've done this all before
