ALright i just got ps yesterday, and i am wondering one thing, how the hell do you resize images..

Umm no how about Edit>Free Transform. Thats what I do far more easy imo

Well thats all fine and dandy if you wanna just resize the current layer, but if youre resizing the entire canvas, just go image>image size.
If youre downsizing, I always use the percent function to preserve quality (say you want it half as big as it currently is, change the setting to percent and make it 50%). Make sure constrain proportions is checked. and change the resample image setting according to what youre trying to do.
