Default GIMP problem.
I'm using the latest GIMP (and, no, I'm not switiching. So don't say "Switch to Photoshop) and I've run into two problems in the last few days.

1) when I click on one of my images, it doesn't go to the front (aka, if I move it around, it'll disappear behind my channels box or the GIMP box)

2)my layer's aren't showing up. So, if a sig has 6 layers, it appears to have none in the layers dialogue. This is obviously a problem.

If anyone can help me fix it, they will get my thanks and some rep.

Uninstall it, remove it, download it again, and try and see? Iunno, that's what I think, i've never had this problem. o3o Sure, GIMP freezes sometimes which annoys me to hell, but never have I had this issue.

Did you try running your virus protector to see if you have/had a virus..maybe thats the cause = /

Try what KSX said. If you don't have a virus, try reinstalling it.
I always save my brushes in the My Pictures folder, because I can save them somewhere else anytime and I still have them even if GIMP one day crashes on me. :>

I have them in My Downloads, but I have to put them back in the GIMP brushes folder... which can be a bit of apain.
