Welcome to Face Down the Sun Graphics! I thank you in advance for any requests you make. Now... If you have already looked through the shop, you will see that.. well, frankly, my first sigs really were not all that great. BUT! I have improved a great amount, and I am always happy to do requests. So, come on in, and let us at it!

New Rule: There has to be a period of 10 days between requests, unless it's by different artists. It's almost damn pointless making our tags for them to only be worn for minimal time, then having to do it all over again

Now, even though the thread is still in SeaSalt's name, it is mine now, as she does have her own shop. And, incase you didn't already gather, ShadowRikuRising was my old username... and on top of that, Bumblebee was my previous username

Also, please specify your request in the format of:

Size: [default or specify]
Stock: [please give at least one you want us to use, try not to have over 2, unless it's a PSP wallpaper, desktop etc.]

And if you ask, we will do wallpapers, provided the request is reasonable

I do have a rather large collection of KH and FFVII (including CC and AC) pics too, so if you want me to, i'll use my own.

And, on a side note, do try to make the requests reasonable please, ie: No incredibly small stock pictures, unless they are for avvies only. We can only fix the quality on pics to an extent.

So hai there, I'm Lancelot (obviously... lol ranseroto), or as some of you know me as, Callum (odd name, I know) I love working on GIMP, and I love to see the appreciation from the people I do requests for ^^ I also love playing the drums, and also guitar (even though I don't know which chord from the next xD;). I love to draw also, and as a fair few of you know, I'm a major weeaboo *cough*ilovecodegeass*cough* x3

But anyway, I started working with GIMP late 2007, just after I received my laptop for Christmas, and my first tag... actually looked half decent, considering I didn't know much about it. Mainly I basically started off with smudging gradients over a stock, because I knew nothing for the scissors until about 3 months later xD So I've just kept on improving, I suppose. I never seem to really keep a "style" for very long, but I find most of my tags are pretty distinguishable from others... for better or worse ^^;; But yeah, it took me a while before I knew how to use filters effectively... like probably July last year, if not later. But I've always been happy with what I produce, and tried to never result to tutorials. I only really considered looking at some within the last 4 months, while I've been home ill. So I'm pretty happy with where I am at the moment, in terms of skills

Hey Im Artistry of Schedius, call me Arty or AoS or Orange 8DD. I like drawing, anime, reading, music and making sigs of course. I've been using GIMP for quite a while. I know how most of the things work and produce a nice sig. I have learnt quite a few techniques from the master here (ahaha Lancy). Also I got my hands on Photoshop CS3 and have been making some of my sigs there. I joined the shop because I want to gain more skills and experience and just because I wanted to make sigs for the members out there and To help out my friends here.

Hey, moring guys, How ya all going?
Ok here's the deal, as you can see we're very new to the sig makin biz normally we just make em for ourselves and friends who asked. They say we're no too bad at it. We enjoy makin em cause we see it a challenge so if you want a place with no que at the moment and a promise and assurance that we will make the best sig or av possible for you, we also have a guarentee that if you're unsatisfied wel'll give it another shot happily and without a fuss. Ok I know this is sounding really despret but hey, Im bored so shoot me!

Here is just my personal opinion. and you can take it however you please. I belive you should have a certain bit of experiance and skill before you start making sigs for others. if i were you i wouldnt have opend a shop at your current level of skill. sorry but your not even rookie level in my eyes. everything i see here i do not like it makes my eyes hurt becasue theres no sort of flow or anything. sigs are way to big size i mean.

but im sure yur going to get all pissy at me and try to tell me off as im sure you will. once again i say this is just my personal opinion and i dont mean any harm i j ust dont want bad art just flying around khi but hey your still gonna keep the shop open regardless. all im saying is wait till you get better to make sigs for others.

Excuse me? I do not believe that I did ask for your opinion and I do not think it was right to post this on our thread when we are trying to start somthing that we ENJOY doing, giving us bad publicity is not very nice at all. And just because of you horrid remarks on out artwork does not mean that we are going to close up shop! Infact this makes me more determined to prove you wrong!

The point is SRR and myself do enjoy making a sig shop and our arkwork is UNIQUE! We have no fancy programs like Photoshop, we use plain old gimp, heck I'd even do it on PAINT if I wasn't allowed to download stuff. If you think our art burns your eyes fair enough but this wont stop us! We have different techniques and that's our right, we have had comments saying we're good at it so we did it, cause it's somthing we love, you have no right to take somone's joy like that and smash it. 1 think all the sigs we see made by what people call "Professionals" look VERY SAME-ISH, We offer differnt-looking sigs all the time and we're proud. So if you have a problem with diversity, I think you are the one with the problem. Art is open for interpretation I mean someone shoves a pile of garbage and arranges it together some would call it art. Just cause you don't like it you don't go up to a person and say it's trash. Being a premium member people respect you, so they would take your opinion over mine, so this is why I would rather perfer you had sent a PM to us saying you did not like our work. It's unfair to us if you wish to crush our dreams like that! You ahve no right, and guess what, You aint!

Your right, we will keep our shop open regardless, cause believe it or not, we are normally very nice and cooperative people, and we enjoy what we do. And shock horror, me and SRR actually have recieved PMs requesting sigs so he and I put our heads together and created this shop.

You say you don't want bad art, flying around, and yet you say you mean no harm how did you not think this would offend us, you say our creations suck, yet you expect us not to take that to offence, Im sorry but we are only human and that DOES offend us, hence the nasty come back letter I'm writing. I mean anyone who knows me knows Im not a nasty person, but I will not stand for such rudness towards me and SRR's work! If you consider our art "Bad" and you don't want to see it fine, just close you eyes!!!

Im sick of sigs that look the same! All the ones made by you so called "good" artists are boring and I just seem to skim over it, I mean ours is unique and different, just cause you may have a problem with change doesn't mean we will come over to the dark-side! If all artists are as rude to new comers as you were than I'd hate to be one! :P

Now no we are not waiting till we get better because we make do with the best stuff we have, I no certainly I can't afford a program for sig creating that costs over 100 dollars, not in my budget, are you saying that only people who come from wealthy families can make sigs? I think not.

So please, keep your remarks to yourself, my mother told me "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all" Now please so not mis-understand me, I do argee with you, everyone is allowed an opinion especially, on KHI I get that, and I have my own and so do you. But I do say I don't think KHI welcomes people who like destroying people's dreams and passions!

U may be 19 and an adult but you're surely not acting like one crushing dreams of those younger than you. What do you go and tell little Kids Santa's not real? Kingdom Hearts is a some what fun and immature type game, if you like it you should have some sense of idea of the meaning of fun, our creations are fun and creative, and that's what art is! If you make everything serrious the same and boring, it's no longer art any more, it's a copy!

Mod's if you're reading this and don't aprove, please tell me. I don't feel I've done anything wrong standing up for myself but please if you do think I've done the wrong thing fair enough I will edit my post.

No SRR we're a team, we take the heat together, besides you have nothing to be ashmaed of making unique and individual sigs! I have nothing to be ashamed of and neither do you. So I refuse to let you take blame for doing nothing wrong!

Enough ugly thoughts, Please dont think of us as bad sig makers and that we can't take critism, just there are wrong ways and right ways to do this, I really do hope these comments wont turn you away from asking us to make you somthing, cause we're just as determined to make you somthing we want you to love despite bad publicity.
