Rep Power: 4 ![]() | just curiousity, I had one answer from a friend in my clan. But that ain't enough for me. anyways, I have 2 questions 1. How do Atheists believe the world was created? 2. How do you celebrate what we call Christmas, honica, or that type of stuff? I'm not against the Atheists. I'm even friends with some, but we NEVER discuss religion, I try to avoid it It's funny, cause I'm friends with some...but my BEST friend is Christian |

| Twilight Knight | I think most atheists believe in the theory of revolution which is the one about the monkeys to human thing. I'm not really sure. :o Well they probably celebrate xmas without the whole religious part (like going to church and such). I' not sure about Hannukah. good questions though. |

As for christmas that just believe in wrapping presents and decorating their trees. Not the name "X-mas" As for the other one thats a Jewish Holiday so I don't know how they celebrate it.

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | What, we HAVE to have an explanation? There are theories we accept. Or we accept that we don't know. And are you saying we shouldn't celebrate YOUR holidays? I celebrate Christmas with my family, because, y'know what? It's more of a commercial holiday than it is a religious one, at least in this day and age. It goes like this. We have a tree, stockings, the legend of Santa, and presents are exchanged. Shouldn't be too hard to understand. Your ignorance offends me. |

I'm not saying to celebrate our holidays or not, I frankly don't care...I only was wondering because Christmas has to do with Jesus, which I didn't think that you all believed in. And I don't really care about Santa. Why would I offend an Atheist? I said, I have a few friends that are Atheists, obviously, you didn't read the entire post...if you did, You must not of been paying alot of attention, how does this offend you?? I apologize if it really did, it was just curiousity...

"um how do aytheeists celebr8 kristmus cuz dats a Jesus dai n dey dont fink he wuz rl." Are you really that stupid? First of all, the excuse, "I don't hate ______! My best friend/sister/brother is a _____!" will NEVER be valid. That doesn't prove anything. Second, don't accuse me of not reading your entire stupid post. It was like a car crash. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. You're right, though, as I don't believe in God, I couldn't possibly have a respect for anything that has to do with him. Good morals and all that. Screw those, I hate good. And, just by the way, Christmas is more Pagan than it is Christian. You're really not very smart.

| Darkrooms and safelights | It's true, Christmas is very, well ... anti-Christian at it's roots. It's basically "It's Jesus's birthday, so we're going to celebrate by forgetting about him and blaspheming." "Commerical paganism" as Pickle remarked to me. Mistletoe; believed by the Druids to be magically powerful and that none could do harm while passing under it {thus the kiss of friendship}; holly, symbolizing of the Holly King {who fights the Oak King every year and loses at the turn of the year as the light starts to return}; Christmas trees; putting up evergreens was also an early pagen tradition; the Yule Log {though that's a probably discontinued tradition by now}, even the Christmas Ham at your dinner. Besides, think about ol' Kringle for a minute. He has elves working for him. How Christian is that? And when parents and teachers explain Santa to kids, what do they say? "By the power of God, Santa is able to circle the world all in one night and deliver gifts to all good little Christian boys and girls." No. They say, "Santa is magic. He has flying reindeer and a magical bag of toys made by his elves in the faraway land of the North Pole." I don't care that that man is supposedly a Saint, Nick must have converted to Wicca a long time ago, the way he's acting. |
