What caused the big Bang, if indeed "cause" is the right word to use? We don't know. We have no idea. We do know a Big Bang happened, however we're more than willing to admit that there are many, many things we don't know. It may have been some unexplained law of physics, if may have been God. However, since usually things attributed to God are usually explained by science later, I'm leaning towards lack of God, but I can't be sure, can I? That's why I'm an agnostic atheist.

Also, you run into more problems with God. Not only do you need to explain where God's energy comes from, but his intelligence, benevolence, omniscience and so on, too.

^ lmao! and they wonder why I dont argue with them a lot lol... its just not worth spending the energy if there is no reasoning but just plain arguments.
Of course, you cannot be referring to me, as I didn't even state anything, I just asked a half-serious question to someone that was not you. That'd make you a hypocrite, after all, and you don't want to be a hypocrite, do you?

Yes, that is the flaw in the "cause" arguement. But that isn't the only creation theory, remember. What created God? Both theories have flaws, and both theories are near-impossible to confirm.

There is a difference. Disproven does not mean proven. Proven means that there is confirmation that there is a strong possibility of such and such happening. Unproven means that there is no evidence to confirm, nor unconfirm. Disproven means that there is evidence that suggests that there is a strong possibility of such and such not happening.
Note that no theory can be truely and totally confirmed. Theories are being disproven even today.

There is. It's fun XD. For some of us. And your wrong - most philosophical arguements DO have reasoning, just that THIS arguement in particular has very little evidence to support either sides...
Unless your suggesting the arguement above...

I sure did, but do you have to include yourself in everything? There are many "thems"... I was actually thinking back to a particular day when a group of ppl were telling me to meet them in the chat and when I did they all went into a hysterical rant on what they believe it was pure chaos and I wasnt about to try have a structured conversation with all that, it would be impossible. so I left and they went on and on and on about how Im this and that because I wouldnt waste my time on their arguments.

YOU WERE NOT THERE! -.- so chill man... u take everything I say too personal even when it has nothing to do with you at all.... (and I know you are going to come back with some other reply to this too)

My girlfriend is atheist.

I'm not sure if this holds any real significance in the current conversation, but I thought you guys would be interested.

As for clone -

I was religious for twelve years. It wasn't because I feared death, but rather, religion was pushed on me and I hadn't been exposed to any other beliefs. There was only one thing to choose from and so it was mandatory that I chose it. When my brain developed and I realized that there was more than just eating pieces of Jesus, I became an Atheist. Then, I actually become open-minded and let everything hold an equal chance of being right.. because, well, I didn't know.

Long story short, now I'm Agnostic. There was nothing that involved being afraid of death to make me change from Catholic, to Christian, to Atheism, to Agnostic. Whatsoever. Your statement is wrong. Not entirely wrong, because that's probably true for some people, but you can't assume that to be the case for every religious person.

Do you believe in the possibility of there being a higher power?

It's human nature to ignore what we fear.

Athiests do not believe there is a God=Fear.

As for the guy who says religious people are scared of death, you may be true, but they believe in life after death, which gives them hope.

I didn't say if you believe in a higher power. I asked if you believed it was possible that there was a higher power.
