Can you imagine heaven?

If you believe in it, what do you think God's new heaven will be like? I know this is kind of generic, but I found this book that this man wrote saying what he firmly believes heaven will be like and he bases it all on the bible. See, according to what he's said, there are many christians out there who are, believe it or not...bored at the thought of heaven. They say its because they think of it as a bunch of angels with harps and people praying to god. Others say they can't even begin to imagine it. So the author says if you can't imagine heaven, what'll make you want to go to it? This made me have a whole new perspective of this question. So please honestly say what you think the new heaven will be like.

Heaven will look wondrous and magnificent. Actually, I believe it can't be described with words; it's simply too beautiful.

I just think its a place for souls, kinda like another world, but not an angel filled paradise.

well I think it will be a wondrous place with a perfect climate and lots of things to do. I can imagine waking up to see the warm sunshine and find a fresh plate of hotcakes there on my bed, with cold milk. It would have the most delicious taste I've ever had. Then I would walk outside, and the weather would feel magnificent. I would be delighted to see my neighbor, and we would walk together down soft roads with beautiful artwork on the sides to see God. We would be overjoyed to see him, and we'd talk for a while and praise him so much for giving us such a great place to live. That's what I imagine heaven to be like, and the best part is it's eternal.

I like your interpretation of heaven. I also agree with it. Heaven will be VERY comforting, that's for sure.

yes, that will probably be the biggest thing about heaven. seeing God. he's completely invisible to the worldly eye, but in heaven he'll be clearer than a picture on an HDTV lol.

I don't believe in heaven, but it's safe to say that whatever you believe would have to pale in comparison to the real thing given the way the bible refers to it. Has anyone else read the treatise showing that, per biblical documentation, heaven is actually hotter than hell?

I only ask, because I wonder if the bible should be taken literally about heaven, or only figuratively so.

This is why I said please tell if you believe in heaven, what is it like. I wish to see what other people who believe in heaven think of it. You obviously don't believe in it.

Not necessarily. 'Heaven' is [now] a generic term for the afterlife. Strictly scientifically, your afterlife is to be broken down and recycled through other organisms. Therefore, 'Heaven' is just this same old universe.

Personally, if I was to believe in an afterlife, my personal heaven would be something like the ancient world, how it was untouched by civilization. Or maybe the first major documented civilizations, skipping all of their wars 'n stuff. Ironically, something a bit like 'Soul Society' from Bleach. I still say I came up with that idea first.

Kindly read my post. I don't believe in the christian heaven, but according to what the generic definition of what heaven is, I do believe in a type of heaven. Not all heavens have to be a city in the clouds.

i belive it. i dont belive why there would be pancakes or drawings i mean..thats all part of earth and why have things form earth in heaven? just stay in earth if you want a nice bed and pancakes..called a hotel i believe? but dont get me wrong im not flaming just how IM seeing it. to anwser i think just the way its said in the bible---awesome, holy, no pain and such, and the best is seeing god and knowing you waited for something amazing...sure you cant imagine it but thats what makes yu wanna go more right? curiosity no?
