Books such as those you mentioned are entirely subjective, considering it boils down to an individuals portrayal of another subjective book; The Bible.

I think Heaven (you're depiction of a place after death) is either a hole in the ground, or a pot containing my already burned body, because that is where most people go today...unless there's Cremation Version 2.0 by my eventual death, where you get 'flames tailored the water content in your already dead body'

The idea of life after death is just absurd to me...

I think of heaven as just a spiritual place where you know no sadness. Not pancakes or anything like that. Sure they might be there. But we won't need them. You'll be with God, Jesus, Mary, and the saint. Along with people who have commited horrible, horrible sins against humanity, but begged for forgiveness. You'll be with the people you enjoyed most who have passed away before you.

In short, I don't believe the soul exists NA, your life force is the organs in your body which keeps you alive physically and mentally, not some supernatural bs

By your reasoning though, you suggest that the soul is already dead in life, as everything needs sustainance to survive, and if the soul needs nourishment (unless the soul is cannibalistic, which goes against most Christian teaching) then how is it going to live when there is nothing else but souls are there??

you're obviously not a christian so i don't expect you to know about this. See, we'll all go to God's kingdom when judgement day comes, but it hasn't. So where does everyone go when they die now? This is called Intermediate heaven, kind of like a temporary place not as good as the New Heaven that will take place on this earth. Most people think of Intermediate heaven as the actual heaven, when in truth it is not. I'm not so sure about Hell; I think everyone goes to this intermediate heaven until judgement day. And for your misunderstanding of spiritual nourishment, it's just an analogy. Our soul needs God like our bodies need food; otherwise we'll "die", meaning we'll end up in Hell. Heaven is called "everlasting life" because God is always going to be with us so we will live forever with this "food".

^ Don't you mean New Kingdom? You're thinking of the Limbo, BTW, where all the souls stayed until Jesus made it possible for sins to be forgiven.

I see heaven as an actual perfect place, a true "oasis in the desert". I'm sure everyone has seen a beautiful scenery or two. I feel that, no matter how beautiful a place is on earth, is only an infinite fraction compared to that of Heaven. You catching my rift?

well as yuo've said that was before Jesus. Now that he's died for us, there is the Intermediate heaven. Or, maybe that's just another name for Limbo. Take it as you will. I catch your drift; the best of life is a taste of heaven, and the worst a taste of Hell. I don't even want to go into what that author said (which i believe) hell's like.

my idea of heaven is that you go to different areas based on your personality but ther is a central area wher we converse and enjoy oursselves with amusment parks, parties, beaches,ect. and a place for the soldiers who wish to fight with the foces of god at armageddon/ragnarok.

I agree, being with out Loving Heavenly Father will be the Ultimate life, and we will walk with Christ. It will be a wonderful huge place filled with Light and Holiness. We will not be bound to what we are on earth as we will gave out immortal bodies/selves and there will be no pain, hate or anything of the such. Of course best of all it will be eternal, like the Love of God for us.
We will be active in our serving for God, doing wondeful things with freeness, no more sin and eternal joy and contentment.

Pfft, that's what our fragile little minds can only comprehend.
Even so if this was right, we wouldn't lose all of our memory's of out short lives on Earth. So we still would know what's right from wrong. We'll just experiance life to it's fullest, with God and without sin and its effects.
