Pastafarianism

This is an ACTUAL Religion. Information can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastafarians

The belief of this religion is that the creator of all exsistance appears to be a giant spaghetti monster. Also, it states that Pirates were the firstt Pastafarians, and the image of them being "theives" and "outlaws" was painted by the Christian Church. It ALSO states that, as Pirate numbers decreased, Global Warming increased.

Anybody besides me wanna convert?

OMFG!!!! this was in my schools newspaper some weird senior kid posted an opinion on it saying it was a good religion. i mean come on this is pathetic what's our beliefs come to if we can just make up a religion as idiotic as THAT?! that kid was attacking christianity saying they're wrong to say that religion was "bad" well i don't know anyone who wouldn't think so i mean COME ON a NOODLE?! anyone who can honestly believe in that has a serious problem. i know people have the "right to believe in what they choose" but please, many many other religions are more sensible than that. judiasm islam hindu christianity buddhism.

Actually I heard this was a defense against teaching Intelligent Design in public schools. Apparently this guy said if the schools would teach Intelligent Design in school, than they had too teach his idea of a flying spaghetti monster religion because he believed it was true and they had to support all different kinds of views. I don't think he really believed it, he was just trying to make a point.

It is as much a religion as Christianity or Scientology (Yes they flew to earth in a Boeing 707 spaceship). Though it was developed as an anology there ARE actual churches for Pastafarianism though very few.
