What did you prove? That if all the water in the world was liquid, it could cover a larger part of the world.

Now then, what reason is there for all the water in the world turning liquid in the ancient world?

Hell if I know, but that does not rule out possibilty.

The bible says God did it.
The Epic of Gilgamesh says Enu did it.

If it was done through divine intervention ANYTHING is possible, and science does not have an answer.

Still, natural phenomena DO happen. Nothing is impossible.

Which.....brings up an excellent point.....

At that day and age the people only lived in a small area, all that they knew and had explored was probably considered the "entire world" to them. Which, would make sense to think that it was regional, seeing as for all they knew that region was the entire world.....

Come on. The book is fiction. It can be found in the fiction section of the bookstore. It is meant to entertain. It is meant to sell. And it has certainly done both. Look at all the hype. Dan Brown probably predicted the controversy and manipulated it into money, and it worked. I mean look at you guys, even. Worked up over a story created in someone's mind, derived from SOME fact.

I am a Christian, and I bought the book and saw the movie and loved both. Do I believe every word? No. I have enough common sense to separate fact from fiction. Why some people felt threatened by a made up plot is beyond me.

Bottom line, its a story. Its not worth the arguments. I'd let it go.
