Gays vs. the Bible

Hey, I was reading the Bible in church the other day when I realized that all the scriptures referring to homosexuals specifically stated that "A man is not to Lie or lay with another man, as it is detestable." Well first off, to lie or lay with someone in Biblical terms specifically means the act of having sex. Gay people are BORN GAY, thus God created them to be gay for a reason. Everyone wants to love or be loved by someone in life right? So why would God create gay people, knowing that he forbade them to have any relations with the same sex. They would all have miserable lives not having someone to hold or love. So I think God specifically forbids SEX when it comes to two gays in a relationship, seeing that that's perverted in his eyes, as he created man and woman to have sex to begin with. Other than that, I think he tolerates making-out, cuddling, etc. as long as it's not sex between two gays in love, other wise, he'd just be creating them to have miserable, loveless lives. What do you guys think? I need answers for my gay friend. She's a lesbian and is very unhappy, as she thinks she can't love another girl without going to hell.
