You must have read that wrong. I NEVER cursed homosexuals. I'm fine with them, lol.

What upsets me is that people believe in a religion that states that being different is wrong and should be punished. That's wrong, but you can't see it.

And that is understandable from a human standpoint. However God sees us down to the heart - everything we are and has supreme knowledge and understanding.

His judgments of destruction have never been without warning. The Bible shows how God pleaded with people over and over and over and over again before taking action against them.

I still believe there shouldn't be any force or nudge in the right direction. Let people have their own choices. Don't push them in any direction.

And right now that's what he is allowing to happen. God is allowing people to have their own choices, do what they want, still he gives them the options - its up to them to take it or not. He's not forcing anything.

He might not but his followers are. Do this or go to Hell. The idea of Hell is a driving force for a lot of Christians. The only example I can think of right now is homosexuality. The most common poster is Fags Go To Hell. With His messages, this shouldn't be happening. There is no love or respect in these hateful messages.

I honestly believe in Hell, Jesus used short stories, parables, to tell a story of a rich man and a poor man who died on the same day. The rich man went to a place of torment, so says Jesus in Matthew somewhere (I don't have my Bible with me right now to give verse and chapter) but also from what I've learned through pastors, is that hell was spoken off but not heavily, it spoke of it more so when the wicked will be thrown into the fiery pit. And also about the last days when Satan will be cast into the lake of fire.

When I first think of Hell, I think of a place of no water, light or rest, I think of Hell as the place of pain, demons and torture.

Yeah. That is true - so one must ask, is it the Bible or is it religion?

Most Christian religions teach Hell as fact. From what I have learned Hell fire is not in the Bible but stems from paganism.

Trick question. If you ask someone about Hell, they will refer to the Bible. Even if the Bible doesn't cover it in detail, the Bible holds all the answers apparently. I think the basic idea of Hell is in there but just has been expanded over time.

Mmm I'll ask something seriously, and I expect a serious answer.

What if you are good hearted but you don't believe in God?

Or misinterpreted. Being that the original words were not even Hell, but Sheol, Hades, and Gehenna. Each one having a distinct meaning.

Sheol - Hebrew and Hades - Greek both meant the common burial place or grave of mankind. Gehenna was an actual place outside the city used for burning refuse. In the Bible it is also used as a symbol of complete destruction - just like a fire consumes and destroys.

From my understanding, you go to hell anyways just because of you not believing. Which I think is total shit. I met a real Buddhist monk before. He was the nicest person I have ever met and I find it ridiculous to think he's going to hell just because he doesn't believe in the Christian god. But then again, what can Christians say to try and prove that they're god is the right god that another religion can't say about theirs being the right one? Religion is such a flawed idea just because no religion can prove their god exists and the gods of the others don't.

Anyways,I don't believe in hell since it didn't surface in Christianity until sometime around the 14th century. As for other religions, I don't know. But I don't really believe in heaven either. If anything, life is your heaven or hell. It can be paradise or a place of torment. It is what you make it.

It is a mythological place designed to teach people that somehow in some way the wicked will be punished for their wrong doings.

A way to say what goes around comes around.

Free will is impossible if everything was created by an omnipotent, all-knowing deity. As I have said, if God created everything, he would know immediately how the future would play out, he would have created every factor to everything.
