| Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho | Yeah, let's talk about not believing in god, fellow Atheists. herm Why and when did you start saying "Oh, please, that shit is so retarded and untrue I want to go emo and cut myself over believing in it for a period of time in my life. :|" This thread is also for general Atheism discussion. |

| Cozza Frenzy | About a year and a half ago is when I stopped believing in Catholicism. It just seemed pointless. |

| Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho | I never really believed in god except for when I was like 5 and I thought it was fact but in time I realized it was total crap. I never really understood HOW I could believe in it. :| |

| ⎳ΣGΣNDΛRΨ | When I turned about five. There's a motivation poster somewhere that conveys the point I'm talking about, but I can't be bothered finding it. |

Rep Power: 14 ![]() ![]() Level: 25 EXP: | Turns out church leaders I knew didn't even do their homework. They didn't know their own religion, so I never saw a whole lot worthwhile in sticking with an organized religion. The religions themselves aren't bad at all, but I'd rather just read their texts and mythology like I would any piece of fiction, with the utmost respect but keeping it in perspective. |

| rendez-vous à l'horloge, 1992. | I've been brought up in a non-religious family. I've not been christened, I don't attend church, I've never read the Bible and I don't pray. I used to attend church when I was younger but only because I went to a church school because it was easier than going to the non-religious school far away. We prayed and had a vicar and all that but I never believed and still don't. I am sceptical about a lot of things, as in I don't believe there's a god but I think I believe there's something that might be up there. Or maybe because I'd like to believe there's something afterwards. I know that I'm afraid of death, so that's why. My boyfriend died in the Afghanistan war July 7th 2009, so I'm hoping that there's something, even if it's not necessarily what the Bible says. Maybe just another plain of existence. So does that make me agnostic? Hmm, maybe. I don't know. I do know that I highly dislike organised religion and that I am interested in Christianity and all of its weird, messed-up connotations. |

| the dank | Another one of my uncles committed suicide today, it was the day before his anniversary with his wife. His wife died two years ago trying to save her daughter while they were both caught in a flash flood. I don't, and will never understand, why people think there is a god trying to help them through things. |

| loves Quinn Fabray. | I've never been religious. It's not that my family went out of the way to not be religious, we just don't really care all that much. |
