Why does religon seem like it is set upon rules and regulatons that are very hard to follow and go by. I mean I recently saw how difficult it is to be a "good" christian to people's standard. Who the heck is a "good" christian except Jesus Christ. Again thats my own belief and my own opinion

My question to you guys is, do you think their is a such thing as being a good what ever you believe, and do you guys have trouble following all these regulations and wish that people do not judge you based upon these rules?? :)

No one's entirely good--we all cheat, lie, thieve (doesn't have to be big), lust, hate, etc... being a Christian isn't about being 'good'. It's about loving people as best you can, and realizing that no one is perfect (obviously even non-Christians should know that, it's common sense), and yet we try to better ourselves for the people around us and God.

Your looking at the word 'religion' with technicalities and by the dictionary definition. Religion is religion... for me, Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship. Honestly, I screw up, so if people want to judge me, that's fine. I do my best not to do the same, however. Being a Christian isn't about good deeds or being amazing. It's just about love, compassion, and loving God. Simply put (though for that to happen, you have to believe Christ is God and that God himself actually exists).

That's why I tend to stay away from them... they generally only lead to flaming or argument that get people nowhere, though sometimes I'm tempted to say something... what can I say? I guess I still haven't stopped being an idiot yet--though who has. Seriously, people need to stop making these topics, it leads to nothing but anarchy.

there is no good or evil. that is my thought. you can not test them so they do not fit in a galatic rule or something. for emample love and hate, words that are connected to parts of our brain that makes us feel wonderful, almost like a drugstate for both happy and sad. love and hate. they do not fit with the rest. you cant be perfect christians, not even christ was perfect. and for speculation god couldnt be perfect either.

tl;dr arbitrary measurements and labels created by the human mind to make sense of a universe where there is fairly little.

Yeah. Christ was Jewish. And I think the whole rules things might have to do more with religious people, than with individual spirituality. That's where conservative people come from.

And yeah, I hate it when they make threads, too. I try to stay as calm as possible cuz everybody's got their own belief and idea, but I hate it when everyone fights or if someone says they're right and everyone else is wrong no matter what they argue.
