Does anybody truly follow this as a religion? I am Christian, so I don't totaly belive in it, but I do belive in the saying "what goes around, comes around". After a few incidents over the past weeks I am starting to belive that this can be plauseble. I am curious for those who do follow this religion; have you really seen changes in life styles from your daily actions?

Well I'm not sure. I think it's true sometimes, but I know there are a lot of dirt bags in this world who die without anything really bad happening to them. So idk. Life is really never as fair as that.

Technically as a Christian you DO believe in it (at least partially), because karma affects you in the NEXT life based upon your actions. The idea of "what goes around comes around", referring to your current life, is not called that.

Speaking of the actual concept of "karma", if reincarnation does exist, it would make some sense, although supposedly you lose all (or most) of your memories and so on, so you would be a completely different person minus your "spirit". Why then should you be punished or rewarded?

Sometimes I believe in it sometimes I don't. Sure, Saddam got hung cos he's an asshole, but what about that kid who lives in Africa and is starving as we speak who did nothing to deserve it?

holy fucking shit why do you preface everything with "i'm a christian" even in cases where it's not relevant to the subject at hand

It's very hard not to believe in it but I've done a lot of things but It doesn't really add up. Although the term "Karma" has been used all around where I'm from. It's even been like a culture to believe in such things. But I'm half hearted about karma. It might or might not be true. I'll live my life.

Actually, a Christian would believe in consequences (in the end) to any action or life course, good or bad. Or as the Bible puts it, reaping what you are sewing.

Karma in many instances goes beyond that and says there is an actual entity or a set law in nature (such as gravity) that brings those things into fruition.

I personally do not believe in Karma. Many many people get away with wrong things and many good people are constantly plagued with bad things. Also karma would further provide basis for the reincarnation ideas which I do not agree with either.

Still I do believe that consequences do come from actions many times, while not always. Sometimes things just happen - time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all.
