.....then what???

Different religions have different beliefs on what happens after you die. I was wondering what some of you think:
Is there such a thing as reincarnation?
Are we all going to Hell?
Is there really a Heaven or Hell?
Do we really recieve however many virgins after we die, and what kind of virgins?
How do we know what's right?
How do we know what will get us to the best place after ?
Did the Egyptians have it right?
Or the Native Americans?
What are we really doing here?

If you can answer any of these questions, I would like to hear your opinions or comments, please.

different religions state different things. there's no one answer. therefore until we die there's no right answer either. ^_^

From all those choices, I think the Native Americans were a true example for us on how to treat nature. They were so in harmony with the things around them.

More and more people realise that nature is something to cherish, especially since we're officially in a climate crisis.

I'd honestly have to really agree with that. It's really awesome that people are starting to care about nature more. I love nature. I'm an outdoor fiend.

In my opinion, though ([trend] I like stating my opinions. [/trend]), the 'climate crisis' is really just a natural thing. The sun goes through eleven-year cycles, getting hotter, then getting colder. I'm pretty sure this is the tenth or eleventh year, so in the next few years, I'm pretty sure things will start cooling off. Global warming is for real, but it's not all just humans, although we have made it somewhat worse......... IDK.........

What I really meant about the Native Americans is there beliefs about the after life, which was a lot like the Egyptians, like earthly treasures go with you when you die.

I believe that ghosts, whether you believe in them or not (i do) can be considered as being in the afterlife. i think that it's possible that upon death, a "part" of us still lingers. Not really alive, but not quite dead.

I'd have to agree with you on that, to a point at least. Something of us does still remain on this plane, but I wonder how much? I'm thinking that it differs from person to person, honestly. Some people leave behind more than others, like not just memories, or whatever, but their actually concious-ness. Ghosts do exist, but the question is, what happens to those who don't stay here, 'cuz not everyone can remain here, but for sure some do.

Then there's the theory that ghosts are people with un-finished business, which I think is also true to a point, but what about those who don't have un-finished business? What about those of us who just want to move on? Where do we go? Where can we go? There's got to be more out there, but what?

me im christian so yeah i believe in the afterlife but grew up as one so i dont really have an answer i just believed what i was told

You know, that's how I grew up, but I've kinda gravitated away from all that for some reason, and here I am, curious as all H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks, if you know what I mean.

I mean, I just find it hard to believe that if you don't get to Heaven you go straight to H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks...

Up until they came into contact with the Europeans, when they traded off spirituality for convenience just as quickly as anybody else.

the idea that i've found most prevalent regarding ghosts, is that they're the result of powerful emotion at the time of death. Usually, this is translated into a place having a tragic/violent history (an example of this is Gettysburg). So the idea as to how much of us gets left behind, is determined by how we left the living world. A person who was violently murdered would probably leave more behind than someone who died peacefully in their sleep.

And unfinished business also is a common theme among ghosts (people who died waiting for their love(r) to return from war, etc.)

I'd honestly have to agree with you. An awful lot of ghosts are those waiting for something. Then there're also those who were ed who could be waiting or searching for their killer(s) in order to reap justice.

But do those ghosts who have unfished business ever finish what they started???

My dad's theory about ghosts is that they are demons sent by Satan in order to harm us, but what he never really thought about are those who try to help, or are just sad, or w/e.
