| i haet men | www.vegetablekillers.net - VEGETARIAN QUOTES IN THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE I'm curious about how Christians on KHI feel about this. Are you a Vegetarian? Do you believe differently, that God encourages meat eating? Please share your thoughts on this. |

Two - Loves every living thing. My Christian friend is a carnivore, and she's the most devout person I know. Seems a majority of Christians either don't care about meat-eating, or they believe God...doesn't particularly mind it. :/ |

| i haet men | I've seen the argument that God allowed meat eating at the time of Noah, but at that point it was either that or starvation, and in this age that's not the case. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() Level: 16 EXP: | This is not true. What do you think they ate back in the Biblical times? Yeah, they ate meat. That's all they had. As a Christian myself, I have never ever heard of this and this is wrong and stupid. |

| Member | Agree. I don't think God encourages us to eat meat but just allow to. I read the Bible and I don't see anything telling God do that. |

| November Blue | I'll give you a response. I eat meat. I believe god put animals on this earth for us to enjoy. How you enjoy them is up to you. I can't really say god encourages meat eating, but I can hardly say he's against it. But who am I, but a mere mortal? edit: I read through a few of those quotes from the bible, and most of them are absolute trash (for supporting the fact that god wants us to be vegetarians). Those verses can be taken many different ways. |

| i haet men | That was an example to say that believers should be all encompassing in their faith. True enough that God has allowed meat eating, but in his ideal paradise, the Garden of Eden, Adam did not eat the animals, he was their caretaker. Only when it became necessary for humanity to survive did he allow meat eating. In this age, in many places that is no longer required. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | In Genesis 1:29 He tells Adam and Eve that they and all the animals can eat any seed bearing on the face of the earth In Genesis 9:5 God makes a COVENANT with man saying that all living creatures are to be food for them as long as they dont eat the blood. But because its a covenant God made that means that it is unconditional. All this obviously doesnt matter if you dont believe the Bible is true, but for the sake of simplicity lets just say you do. ; ) |
