What is my religion?!

Well, like it says, I have no clue what my religion is if I even have one. It's true that I believe there to be a God or deity or whatever you wanna call it, but I believe the he/she/it doesn't give a rat's ass about us. Sure there are things unexplainable in this world that would lead to people believing in such things, like a friend and his family who claim they saw Jesus Christ preventing their car from going over a cliff, but in the world that I was raised, there's nothing that shows it.

I guess what my real issue is, is whether or not I should believe in anything. Sure I have my own theory about evolution, one that states we come from various animals and not just apes, which helps to explain why some people are naturally gifted at what they do when others have to work to get to their levels. But I also believe that there is a place that we all go. One being "Heaven" while the other being "Hell", but I also cross this with reincarnation. We go there to recieve a punishment or reward for how we lived our life is what I currently believe what happens after death until we have attained the right amount and are sent back down to Earth, or where-ever in the universe, to gain more experience for our souls. I don't really enjoy reading the Bible or anything Holy, well not that I can really say that since I've only read the Bible, because I also don't like the idea of laying the blame on a single entity for everything bad that happens.

Anyways, can someone please help me figure out what religion I am if any? Or help point me in the "Right direction", so to speak? Because let's face it, if what I stated before about "Heaven" and "Hell" is true, we're all goin' to the boiler room and that actually scares the living shit out of me!

Well, what you just stated doesn't seem like any specific religion I've ever heard of, so you basically just made one up. You could follow that if that's what you truly believe. Really, you should believe what you want. No one should have to point you in the right direction, go with your instincts and whatever you believe in.

That is not what I meant. Obviously. We're talking about religion, you should follow whatever you feel is best. The instinct that tells you what religion feels right and good for you. Not the "I'm a fucktard roller blading down an icy hill" instinct.

It's your own choice as to what you want to and don't want to believe. You can't really ask "What should I believe in?" since we all have different views.

Gunther is right you do have some diest belifes but the whole rencarnation thing sounds iffy but like everyone else said go by your senses and see what you feel or what my freind did he tied out diffrent religions until he found the right one you might try a few diffrent religions and see which one you find is best and you might not find one you like that is when you go off your instinct in which is best

You should seriously start your own church, you can get government funding if you do that. And if you have rules that say people to have fun, that way it surely gets a lot of followers.

Anyway, my advice is to study or research for religions. And if you saw a religion that has the majority of your beliefs in your life, maybe you should follow that religion.And like what they said, follow your instincts or what you really feel believing about.

My advice would be to stop thinking about it so intensely. There's no definite answer to these deep questions and it'll drive you nuts thinking about. Trust me, when I start to ponder deep things in my life, I can't stop thinking about them and it stresses me out. Your still young and you should enjoy the things you can interact with in this world. You say you don't know what religion you follow, but you seem to have an idea. Just keep those ideas and I'm sure one day something you can concretely believe in will take shape.

And if the thought of Hell honestly scares you, here's an idea that might soothe your fears. Maybe we just become energy when we die, thus, we won't ever feel it.

Well, it wouldn't have been Jesus, that's for sure. It's not entirely unheard of for angels to visit. Of course, that requires belief in the claims in the first place.

Meh, the Bible doesn't pin it all on a single person. Satan may have been the impetus, but we took care of pretty much everything else ourselves.

So it seems that you believe in the concept of salvation by works. I'm not quite sure what religion claims that specifically (except for maybe Islam).

Well, you seem to have the concept of "everyone is a sinner" as well. Though, I wouldn't go so far as to pick and piece which religion you belong in (that just sounds weird to me). I mean, I could tell you what religion I believe is correct, but there isn't much else that I (or anyone else, for that matter) can do.

Umm last time I checked, those were cults. And despite the government giving us the "Freedom of Religion", they tend to shut those down once they get enough followers.

Anyways, I seriously didn't think that it was possible to combine religions like those, sepite the fact that most religions are similar on many levels. But for those mentioned that I don't already know about, I'll do some more research, I've already looked up Paganism and a couple others.
