No, you're not.

In fact, the calendar didn't end at that date.

After it was assumed the Mayan 'end of the world time' was found, dates past it were also found, so...

Also, the Mayans wrongly started their calendar when they thought the world was created, some three or five thousand years before they were there, so this concept, from its very earliest stages, was massively flawed.

Or, you know, I like the idea because it looks like it's going to make a visually-stunning move?

What would I look up about Ouija?? I mean, I belive in it and stuff, i's only that my sister's girlfreind can sometimes make a lot of hype out of nothing. And she's just the kind of person to fake an entire Ouija experience.

But yeah, personally I don't really believe the world will end that day. I think the only thing that will even happen will me an intense amount of suicides

I think it is arrogant to assume that the end of the world is something that we will be able to predict in any sort of prophetic manner.

And I agree with Phoenix. I think that thinking to yourself, "the world is going to end" is so dramatic and unbelievable that people don't really invest any true belief in it, just enough to make them feel like the condition of the world is out of their control and therefore, they hold no responsibility for it.

But it doesn't, at least not for us. It's the generations after us that will pay the price. So, it's either working to fix this world for a payoff we probably won't even see in our lifetimes, or not doing anything at all and clearing my conscience with the belief that the world will end anyway, so it's cool to not do anything.

I absolutely agree with this statement.
Just as I believe that - if there were a god - we would not be able to comprehend or justify its way of going about things.
And just like I belive that there is no such thing as a 'jealous god' or an 'angry god'
How could a being people claim to be so great be hung-up on such petty human emotions??

It's the same idea, I think. :/
