Honestly, it makes thousands of years humanity predicts its end. If each time we did it it had to happen, the planet would already be non inexistent by today.

No one can know when something will destroy the planet, like a meteor or such. It could be in three years, ten, one hundreds, one thousands, it's impossible to know. We shouldn't bother with this 2012 things.
