From a Christian, I can assure you all that the world WILL NOT END in 2012. It will end according what Bible Prophecy says. If you don’t believe me, google the last book of The Bible, Revelation. This book is the last book of The Bible, and what’s unique about it is that the whole book was written as God was giving His prophet John a vision; and the vision was the end of the world. He wrote it down just as God showed Him. Now, what will set things in motion in this book will be an event called The Rapture. What is going to happen at The Rapture is that all Born-Again believers will be taken with Jesus when He calls to our home in Heaven and we will literally vanish from the earth. God is going to remove us from this Earth in what will be the most dangerous, violent, disastrous, and disturbing time in the history of this planet, and it will be called The Tribulation. That is how the world will really end.

From a scientific and much more reliable point of view, I can tell you the world will not end on 2012. Seriously, I'm not going to trust any word in the bible to have a clue about an end of the world predicted by the Mayans, nor to be even half-reliable.

And you'd rather believe a prediction which has the same accuracy of that of the mayans, over those of scientists who are looking at outer space and our climate (although this area is more controversial i suppose) and see no immediate threats for mankind? Well, you can't assure anything to us since your claim, too, is highly dubious.

I don't believe the world would end 2012.scientists can't say when would the world end.only god knows.but all that maya civilization calander kind of tell the world would end.and they were right in astronomy events in the past.but only god knows when the world would end.by the way i seen that movie 2012.it was a good,and fearfull movie.

Let's cut the religious crap, shall we, it's about a doomsday event. It's religious in the sense that the idea has followers, nothing more, nothing less. Anyway, now we've concluded it won't happen in 2012, it's too limiting, it should be about doomsday events in general, since we'll see these cases of mass hysteria more often.

That's the thing. The Bible never says that the world will end in 2012. In fact it says that not even the Son or the angels know. It will happen when people least expect it, in the twinkling of an eye, like a thief in the night. I'm guessing if there's a lot of speculation to the world ending in 2012, God would know that and purposefully not end it there lawl.
