Why? Well one reason is because of the standards they set and its the only religion I've personally seen where love and peace is evident among the majority.

So you are telling me, out of every religion, the millions upon millions that exist. Every single one has been involved in bloodshed as a whole? No doubt every religion has imperfect people in it. So there are those within a group who act unwisely. However you can not judge a group due to the actions of one free willed person.

That is the definition of religion, so yes, Atheisim is considered a religion.


Anyways, I believe Buddhisim is the best religion. They don't believe in a god, their religion is basically all about being a good person and not to do others wrong. It teaches people the difference between right and wrong, and at least this religion seems to be working as it intended to be.
Even though i am not Buddhist, i still feel it is the morally superior religion.

I'm not picking on individual Churches so much as I'm saying that religion by its very nature is easily used to justify hate and violence.

Well the basic belif is that there is no god, if you did not believe so then you wouldn't be atheist even though atheisim is a broad subject. There are many forms of it because one atheist may think somthing different than another. But the one belif that all atheists share is the lack of a god.

Set is defined as more than one. If you can't think of anything else that the lack of belief in a god, then atheism does not fit the definition.
