When science is able to explain creationism/God via the scientific method, then I will accept creationism being allowed in a science class.

Otherwise, don't teach creationism in science. That'd be teaching something that isn't science in a science class.

lmfao, creationism in schools. XD

As if. Private schools, maybe, but not public. Besides, there's nothing to learn about Intelligent Design. It's a faith-based belief and has no foundries or basis on reality; "We were made by a guy/girl that we've never seen, heard of or witnessed do anything ever in our lives. LET'S TEACH OURS KIDS ABOUT HIM."

The idea is really laughable, actually.

I know what grade i'd get on a test about creation. I'd answer every question with evolution is proven, creationim isn't.

Too bad we can't prove evolution, which is why it's still a theory.

Electromagnetism = theory

It's still a theory because "theory" is the closest science gets to "fact".

Creationism is a religious belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe were created in their original form by a deity (often the Abrahamic God of Judaism, Christianity and Islam) or deities, whose existence is presupposed.[1] In relation to the creation-evolution controversy the term creationism (or strict creationism) is commonly used to refer to religiously-motivated rejection of evolution.

Intelligent design is the assertion that "certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection".[1][2] It is a modern form of the traditional teleological argument for the existence of God, modified to avoid specifying the nature or identity of the designer.[3] Its primary proponents, all of whom are associated with the Discovery Institute,[4][5] believe the designer to be the God of Christianity.[6][7] Advocates of intelligent design claim it is a scientific theory,[8] and seek to fundamentally redefine science to accept supernatural explanations.[9]

Soooooooo, what's the difference?

You are using theory instead of hypothesis. A theory is a generally accepted idea with lots of proof and evidence backing it up. A theory still can change or a be replaced by a whole different theory but it is the most probable idea. A hypothesis is an assumption made by someone which lacks proof and evidence.

Evolution is proven widely and often thus an accepted idea. The more proof gathered for evolution the less probable a different hypothesis is.

Intelligent Designs are for those fundamentalist backwards groups who keep their ignorant minds in the dark thinking a supposed God created everything other than a rational explanation, to those for that, I respect you but...this isn't the Middle Ages. We're advanced as is and continue doing so, why be ignorant of the fact that evolution is the correct theory.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You want me to watch a film with someone who is apparently a fan at quote mining?

"Quote mining is the practice of compiling frequently misleading quotes from large volumes of literature or speech.[1]"

The man purposely omitted whole parts of the text he was quoting to try to prove to the viewers that the theory of evolution supported Nazism. Honest scientist right there.

Um, no he didn't. Hell, he didn't comment much on it himself. He asked respected scientists what he thought. What YOU'RE saying is totally out of context, probably taken from some pissed off, elitist atheists that watched the movie.
Currently, I have watched it, and you haven't. So your opinion is just borrowed out of context from someone else.

He didn't purposefully leave out text, the guy interviewed scientists..some of the most respected in their field...there was no "text".

Don't force your opinion on a movie you haven't seen.
The movie's purpose doesn't even have anything to do with religion, it has to do with academic freedom.

As for Nazism, the ideal behind some of it was that the weak and the lesser-humans shouldn't be a llowed to breed or populate the earth, and that the higher-evolved, superior humans should reform the world to improve the standards of the human race. That's what some scientists that Ben Stein interviewed said, that's all.

kthx

Furthermore, the film claims that American educators and scientists who believe that there might be evidence of intelligent design in nature are being persecuted for these beliefs.[7]
Btw, that is completely true, at least in my opinion:

Uh, I wouldn't necessarily agree with SN's attitude Dogen, but you do know DK's statement is incorrect, right?
