Where do you get the idea that Christianity was based on fate? Im talking about first century Christians. That was true Christianity. The way Jesus instituted it. After the apostles died, then all those other doctrines got twisted into teachings INCLUDING the idea of fate all the way down to this day why there are so many different denominations of Christianity.

However you want to justify it, Smooth. Revelations being as vague as it is, you can give it any interpretation, like the walls of text for the 666 number when 666 isn't even the original number given.

Living conditions don't create diseases, they make them worse. Likewise, living conditions don't make a volcano erupt, but building a town next to an active volcano may make the eruption kill more people.

You missed my point. From what I understood of your post, at one point, Christianity was more concerned with helping the poor and the sick and less concerned with "the end is nigh" signs.

The first number found is 616. This is not up to debate. By denying something that is a fact, how can your claim that you research everything even be trusted? You're denying reality because it doesn't fit your faith!

The earliest parchment of Revelations has 616, this is reality. If you deny this without backing your 666 up with an earlier parchment, all of your claims that you research everything thoroughly come crashing down.

It's not your arguments I have a problem with, it's that god damn condescending attitude of yours. You don't even try to have a discussion, you act like you have some sort of blessed knowledge that puts you above everybody else, and when you run out of things to say, instead of manning up and admitting it, you act like I'm just too stupid to even grasp what you're saying, so you won't even try.

Well, first off, let me apologize if that is how I came off as. Thats not how I feel, and its not what I meant to seem like. However I could point out many many things that you have said and done that I dont appreciate. I am not going to because its not important.

I never said I was above anyone, I am not. If I even thought that, that wouldnt be christian at all. I never said you were stupid. You are obviously very knowledgable about a lot more things than many others. However you always assume you know whats going on in my mind. Like you are some sort of clairvoyant. I say you wouldnt understand because you wouldnt, not because you are stupid, not because you are atheist, not because you are you, its simply because if you havent experienced it, you wouldnt understand. Just like someone who hasnt experienced a father or a spouse or a relative die, they cant say they truly understand what you are talking about if you experienced something like that. You cant say you understand a trip to the moon if you have never been on it. What I say is that you wouldnt understand certain things that I have experienced and I KNOW you havent. Is that so wrong?

You've totally and completely missed what I'm aiming the reply at. Oh, I've never denied I'm a bastard when it comes to debating, but I don't ignore your arguments on a "just because" basis. I take the pains to respond to every point you make every single time you reply to me, I at least afford you that courtesy. You don't do the same.

I don't need to understand how you feel to know how you think. You don't need to understand exactly what kind of emotions run through a schizophrenic's head to be able to tell if he's violent or not. Likewise, a shrink doesn't need to feel what patient does, he just needs to be able to understand why does he feel that way and how does he think.

By the same token, I don't need to be able to feel what you feel to tell you that a lot of people who don't believe as you do feel the exact same thing, thus meaning that that you feel something contributes nothing to the discussion unless you can back it up.
