Not only that, ive come to learn that the UN is working on a law that will put all countries within under one set of laws starting with economic issues that are plaguing countries all around the worl. I dont have all the details so im going to do more research on it. However, now how is that going to be done without breaking down the barriers of many religions among other things?
1. Link us please.
2. All the countries working together? Without invading each other and killing civilians?! To help countries in need?!?! It truly is the end of the world! We must stop this!
3. "And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at Him."

2 - I dont like your mocking tone and I never said it was the end of the world.... I dont believe the world is going to end. Rather this system of things. The world conditions. -.- And is it all going to happen BOOM just at once? No there is a progression of things and different events that must occur first. So please dont mock my beliefs if you dont take everything into account.

3.- What does that quote have to do with anything being discussed? All that is saying is that Jesus told his followers to follow the laws of the land and be in subjection to them as long as they did not conflict with Gods laws.

" Ban Ki-moon urges immediate and long-term steps to fight escalating food crisis

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today called for both immediate and long-term measures to tackle the growing global food crisis, warning that it could not only push millions of people deeper into poverty but also have larger political and security implications."

What am I supposed to be looking for?

things are happening so fast.. that most people dont even see now.... =/ like... i cant even explain it lol... but I firmly believe its close... maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even this year... but it is close.... how quickly years go by....

Its like I was thinking about Noah.... it was over 50 years that he was building the ark. Not only was he building the ark and getting ready for the flood... but for 50 years just he alone was saying that the flood was coming... it seemed long im sure. And everyone that saw him kept saying "ach! you are a fool! where is this flood?!" but yeah... it came lol....

You can't see the future.

So, uh, subjective passage of time is proof that the world is ending?

anyway.... no one is forcing you to believe, no one is trying to convince you of anything, no one is trying to convert you. You are allowed to believe and not believe in anything you want. What I see many others see... what I see still many more dont see... and thats fine.

Where did anyone accuse you of converting people? You said something, and I said something back. We call that a discussion.

You see the same thing everybody else sees, you just have different beliefs.

Man... its crazy... There have been bad disasters in the past, but since the new millenium, things have been spiraling out of control one after the other.

We all know of several natural catastrophies that have happened within the past few years, and just these past two weeks:

China earthquake killing as of right now 7600 people today.

The Cyclone in Myanmar, where the death toll is expected to excede 100,000 people in one report

Several Tornados across the US in several several states the past few days, killing 22 plus and destroying many many more homes and communities.

And then these are just a few mentioned just this past week. There have been many more recently in the past month, months, and years.

Its just crazy how fast things can go one after the other. I guess if we dont personally experience it, it might not even matter to us so we may brush it off as insignificant. But the Bible did say that natural disasters would become more frequent in the last days.

(then you will say: thats no proof at all. Natural disasters have been happening forever. Look at this: pulls out some wiki page with some estimated statistic from some ancient disaster yada yada. thats nice)

Black Death - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Remember that one disease that killed 30%-60% of Europe's total population?

Toba catastrophe theory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Remember that one supervolcano that nearly killed us all?

Great Famine of 1315–1317 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Remember when a lot of us died of raw hunger and possibly ressorted to cannibalism?

These are human-threatening catastrophes. A tornado killing 22 people is not a catastrophe.

Why do you people insist on believing the end of the world is nigh? Do you hate Earth so much =/?

lol you already posted those before... got any new ones? >.> lol

And its nice you point out the catastrophie with the lowest fatality. Heh, but what about the thousands of homes destroyed and much more people injured?

And have you noticed that the disasters that you point out are seperated in history by how many hundreds of years? The ones Im speaking of happened.... erm. within the past 8 years. Im speaking of the new millenium >.>

The Earth? lol nah, dont hate the Earth at all. And since I hold Bible teachings to be true, I dont even believe anything is going to happen to the Earth itself. Its the people in the earth the Bible speaks about. The end of the way the world is... not the end of the Earth.

Isn't it great how you claim that a tornado killing 22 people is a sign for the end, yet totally ignore the worst events in human history? You're totally biased.

Way to disregard the point.

You know, I'm no shrink, so I can't diagnose exactly why do you people want the world to end so badly. Maybe you want to live in a historical time, maybe you want to say "I told you so", I'm not sure. I do know that you've been doing it for 2,000 years, and the world hasn't ended yet. You might want to consider taking a break.

Well once again YOU disregarded my point. Its not the number, but the frequency of disasters. More and more are happening each day. AND not only did you ignore that point, you ignored the point that the disasters you pointed out are insignificant in comparison to the numbers of recent history. NOT ONLY THAT you have failed to note that I was speaking of NATURAL DISASTERS, not diseases, or famines as you also pointed out. CONTINUING! you still ignored the other few examples I pointed out. So are you going to accuse me of being biased? Really? Are you?

I dont expect you to understand. And no its not anything about "I told you so" or wanting to live in historical times. Its simply faith that we see by study and personal things. You say we have been doing it for 2,000 years. Sure, 2,000 years ago it was done... there was preaching about the last days of that time. The end of the Jewish system of things. It did happen. There were many other types of different last days spoken of in the Bible. Then the Bible also spoke about a time when true Christianity would not exist anymore for a period of time after the apostles all died. For people would rise up and twist the teachings in the Bible etc. So that period of 2,000 years you speak of is invalid.

But then the Bible speaks of that in the another last days, that the false teachings would be broken away from by some, and now for a very short period of time it is once again being preached that the end is near. I know you have said it hasnt ended yet, you will keep saying that. And no I wont take a break.

I'm sorry, what? Did it not occur to you that we know about disasters happening now because we have a little something called the television?

Explain to me why differentiate between a volcano and a plague?

Why even bother? Thousands died. It happens. Or birth rate far, far outweighs our death rate, so in the end, disasters means squat to the overall human population.

Quote:

Yeah, that's the way to begin a discussion.

Quote:

So Christianity wasn't into fatalism for a period of time? I can see why such a religion would beat paganism.

However you want to justify it, Smooth. Revelations being as vague as it is, you can give it any interpretation, like the walls of text for the 666 number when 666 isn't even the original number given.

Quote:
And no I wont take a break.
Not you personally. But you should take some time off, though, it's good for the mind.

EDIT: no walls of text, plz
