| I would kill for you <3 | It seems nothing has changed in Christianity for the past 2,000 years. It was an apocalyptic movement back then, and it still is today. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | duh... im just saying if ppl paniced for something as trivial as no communications or technology working for 1 day in a state... (unless generators or battery powered) then lol, they'd be in for a big surprise and DEF panic if the end came.... |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() ![]() | thats because you have no idea whats going on in the forum.... obviously... otherwise you'd know.... Im watching NBC nightly news right now... talking about the hardships america is facing with the increasing economic instability and hardships that most Americans are facing. we know this isnt only happening in America but all around the world in even so-called "wealthy nations" its been around hardships forever, but we see it happening more and more. It just reminded me of a scripture: 2 Timothy 3: 1- 5 - But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. id also like to mention... some of you get upset or use slick responses when i chose not to reply to something you say.... well i've explained myself before, but i'd like to use a scripture this time: 2 Tim 2: 23-26 - Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights. But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil, instructing with mildness those not favorably disposed; as perhaps God may give them repentance leading to an accurate knowledge of truth, and they may come back to their proper senses out from the snare of the Devil, seeing that they have been caught alive by him for the will of that one. | Pillow Talk | Why are people such IDIOTS these days? I share that belief as well. But just because someone says something that you don't believe doesn't mean you have to be so STUPID. Just keep your mouth shut please. This is a discussion/debate threat. Your comment is just poor taste, sir. If you don't like whats being said then dont respond to it. Sorry, that just bugs me so much how close minded people down on others with different beliefs. Okay Im done. |

What he said was "STUPID." It wasn't a whole lot more than some pointless, obvious remark regarding the reaction of society if "the end came." Of course they would panic. The reason I say this is psycho-babble bullshit is because it seems as though he's trying to find some deeper meaning to his disconnected argument.

(2 Peter 3:3-4) For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.” but there's a reason... (2 Peter 3:9) Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. back then you say? Last Days of the Jewish System of Things. Less than three and a half years before the non-Jews became part of the Christian congregation, God’s spirit was poured out on faithful Jewish disciples of Jesus Christ. At that time Peter explained that this was in fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy, saying: “‘And in the last days,’ God says, ‘I shall pour out some of my spirit upon every sort of flesh .*.*. And I will give portents in heaven above and signs on earth below, blood and fire and smoke mist; the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and illustrious day of Jehovah arrives.’” (Ac 2:16-20) In this case “the last days” preceded “the great and illustrious day of Jehovah,” which “day” apparently brought “the last days” to their conclusion. (Compare Zep 1:14-18; Mal 4:5; Mt 11:13,*14;) Since Peter addressed natural Jews and Jewish proselytes, his words had particular reference to them and evidently indicated that they were living in “the last days” of the then-existing Jewish system of things with its center of worship at Jerusalem. Earlier, Christ Jesus himself had foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple (Lu 19:41-44; 21:5,*6), which occurred in 70*C.E. also with reference to the end of the Jewish system of things that Christ Jesus was spoken of as appearing and carrying on his activity “at the end of the times” or “at the end of these days.” (1Pe 1:20,*21; Heb 1:1,*2) This is confirmed by the words of Hebrews 9:26: “But now he [Jesus] has manifested himself once for all time at the conclusion of the systems of things to put sin away through the sacrifice of himself.” Last edited by Forever Atlas; 03/05/08 at 05:48 PM.
